I Bought A Large, 30x40 Inch Printed Image (rainbo

I bought a large, 30x40 inch printed image (Rainbow Metatron's Cube), worth about 63 Euro, made by Lilyas

I received an incomplete image, cropped on the sides, without any value.

Both the author and the seller, DeviantArt, consider it a mistake, and refuse to replace the broken, already paid product.

It is clear that both DeviantArt and the author took my 63 euros abusively.

Deviantart.com Is An Excellent Place To Collect, S

Deviantart.com is an excellent place to collect, store, share and receive critiques on photography, poetry, writing, and artwork. Anyone can use it, and it doesn't cost to upload your artwork or to use the site. There are bonuses to the paid membership, of course, but it is certainly not required to use the site or to purchase products.

The only problem I have with the whole experience is that because it is such a HUGE art community, it would be really hard to pick out a favourite picture to purchase (for me, anyway), if I were doing so. There are SO many artists posting, that it is an art-saturated marketplace.

Thankfully, there is a mature content filter available, but I believe it is up to the artist to rate their content as mature. Some stuff gets through that I would call mature.

One can sell one's creations on the site, and DA does take a cut when they are involved in the process, but it would be worth it to me not to have to do the mailing and printing.

They have fantastic clothing and other items, but I'd like to see the option of creating my own t-shirts, etc. using my own art. Maybe that's there... I don't know.

DA also has great contests, both user oriented ones, and actual DA created ones with incredible prizes... but the competition is tough!

Anyway, once you get the hang of using the site, it's fantastic!

I Did Not Like The Fact That The Deviant Art Websi

i did not like the fact that the Deviant Art website does not allow you to delete an account. it is very annoying and seems like they are forcing you to stay with them. the website is also very confusing and seems to have many restrictions. art should be free not caged.

Www.deviantart.com Gives A Place For Serious Artis

www.deviantart.com gives a place for serious artists and just someone with a hobby to post artwork. They sell prints and offer a cast amount of web-space.

Deviant Art used to be AMAZING, but now- of you're looking for art - here's the place to get it.

I found this review not helpful because...

I dont think it gives a proper veiw of the site.

It only focuses on the bad points, doesn't bring out the good.

Deviant Art Is An Internet Site For Lovers And Cre

Deviant Art is an internet site for lovers and creators of art, traditional art, digital art, literature, photography, and so on. You are free to browse people's art and display your own.

Registration is free, and quite simple members are given their own page to display their own artwork; whatever it may be. This website has members all over the world, from every age, race, and with every varying degree of talent, from professional artists, writers and photographers to those with art as a hobby and doodle-ers.

You are also given a journal function for you to post either diary entries or notes to friends.

You get to add people you know or meet on there as friends, enabling them to receive your journals and artwork as posted, and vice versa.

There is no limit to the size of your gallery, which is available for others to view and comment on, and you can also save a gallery of your favourite pieces of other peoples work.

This website enables people to comment on your work and add it as favourite material to their pages, thus spreading your art around and increasing your notoriety.

Additional features of this website are...

- The chat facility, to meet like-minded artists and appreciators of art.

- You can choose to pay a subscription fee (£17.08 per year) for extra features and ease.

- You can also shop for art (many talented artists sell prints through this website).

- If you believe your art is good enough to sell, you can in fact make money yourself through Deviant Art. You keep the copyright to your artwork, they make the prints, and when people order them from the site you get a percentage of the profits.

I have met many interesting people from all over the world through this website, as well as being inspired to create more of the art I love. I am constantly in awe of the amazing unrecognised talent that so many people possess and display on this internationally loved website.

I agree on many of your points especially about the vastness, sometimes it seems there needs to be a bit of a quality filter as well. Often i find myself looking through pages of photos which people haven't really put much thought into.
