Best Email Service From The 4 Currently In Use

I currently use 4 email providers, gmail,icloud,uk2 & bluebottle x 2. I have used bluebottle for a few years & it is perfect for not wasting my time on unwanted mail. I use it with my Mac & Pc via Mail & Windows Live mail & both are well behaved.I also consider it to be very good value for money, bearing in mind I am firmly of the opinion that nothing is ever truly FREE.If one had to br critical in any way then the soon to be updated web interface might be an issue for some people.

Account Wrongly Suspended - No Support

Like other reviewers, I had my account suspended without warning, reason or support. After years of satisfactory service, they suddenly suspended my account "for spam activity". I sent two emails complaining about spam this week, no reply, just the sudden suspension. Email support doesn't answer; the only telephone number given is in Australia, and looks like a mobile number. This is a paid-for service; it used to be good, but lately it's been letting in more and more spam, and when I checked I found 94 pages of "allowed' addresses, of which about 3 pages worth were people I knew, the rest all "automatically allowed" rubbish. They've obviously lost the plot completely and don't care. Don't go near them.

Time To Move On

I have been with Bluebottle for several years and the first few years were spam free and I never had reason to contact them except when I had forwarded an infected email that I received from someone else and their response to the problem was good.(someone called Keir from bluebottle support in Australia, I am in UK). A couple of years ago I started to receive the occasional spam and there was nothing that they could do except give advice such as the pending tray will clear itself of a spam email after 7 days if not looked at.Now I receive a Spam emails everyday and I will not be renewing my subscription.

Account Wrongly Suspended And No Support Whatsoever

I have been a user of bluebottle for around 5 years but last week after coming back from holiday I returned to an inbox full of hundreds of return to sender emails due to spam. I didn't send these emails as the laptop was switched off and the account had not been compromised. Looking at the headers it was a spammer that had spoofed my address indicating that the email was never sent from my account in the first place.

Bluebottle suspended my account due to 'illegal activity' with no prior warning. I emailed their support to tell them it wasn't me as the laptop was switched off (I was on holiday and laptop left at home) but I got no response whatsoever. A rather rude statement on their support page says 'if your account has been suspended due to spam etc do not bother to contact us'

Well it was suspended due to spam but it wasn't me and the headers indicate so. They refuse to acknowledge my support requests & don't forget this is a PAID service - it's not like its a free email service.

Unless they buck up their tech support and check to see if users are actually abusing the system rather than not bothering to check properly and banning them then they are a total waste of time and money.

I will post an update to this - eventually after several more emails they did reply and confirmed my account had been hacked as I was using a too weak password. They re-activated my account and I used a stronger password containing mixed case, numbers and symbols.

So far so good.

I have had exactly the same problem. Have happily been with Bluebottle for years with a Premium account. There has been increasing smam activity and now I am being deluged with hundreds ( probably thousands) of return to sender messages from all over the world ... Not sent by me in the first place. Bluebottle suspended my account and have not bothered to respond to my complaints. My account is due to be renewed shortly and that won't be happening. They will find all their customers deserting them like flies.

Exactly the same thing happened to me, except that i was at home, and I'd already sent two emails to Bluebottle complaining about spam. They didn't even bother to reply and there is no support phone line. They used to be good; now they are worse than useless. Don't touch them.

No Customer Service - They Take Your Money And That's It

The actual email works OK (although there are better options like Spamarrest).

However, if ou have any questions or issues, forget about getting any help. Their support pages don't exist, and they don't respond to emails. Their Twitter account is also defunct.

Basically it looks like they are treating it as a cashcow and doing nothing more (support or service improvements) to earn their money.

I won't be renewing.

Account Wrongly Suspended

Same experience as previous reviewer. My account has mysteriously been suspended due to 'questionable sending activity'. No response or explanation from customer services

Total Service Failure

I had been with Bluebottle for close to 6 years. The occasional outage happens and in all fairness there weren't many.

Then 1 day I wake up to a message that my account had been "suspended due to questionable sending activity". I don't do anything with email that would offend anyone nor do I send out any form of bulk mail. So, being curious and annoyed at the same time I contact their service email as requested. At this point any incoming mail was being bounced from my account, so pretty essential to get service restored. No reply by email, via their Twitter account. Final resort, tried ringing from the other side of the world. The phone rang and rang, finally they picked it up and then just put the receiver down.

No response or return to normal service in the time they promise you. When you pay for their highest service level, you expect better.

Bluebottle.com - Used To Be Good Now Awful

Been with Bluebottle now for three or four years. Put up with the occasional server problems but now they are becoming more frequent. It is ridiculous to offer a service like this when you simply can't rely on it to produce the goods. I am going to leave it because I'm sick and tired of not being able to read my mail and of course, it happens at the most inopportune moments.

I also don't like the way there is no automatic save on emails either which I think is essential and which google and other providers like yahoo have. There are other little things that further detract like frequent malfunctions of the software and numerous little glitches for no reason.

I would have recommended this two years ago but they just seem to be getting worse - so I heartily recommend staying away.

SORT YOURSELF OUT BLUEBOTTLE!

I Won't Renew Again

I've had trouble with bluebottle too...I've had an account since they started and had no problems with them at all for several years. This year, however, it's been lots of problems. I was considering downgrading but there wasn't a way to do it so I e-mailed the support team. They e-mailed me back. Before they did my subscription expired and I could only read my mail. I decided to keep the address since this is the one my family uses for me so I clicked on the link at the top. (This was in March.) It took me to the page that showed the prices. I chose the one I wanted and paid for it through Paypal. It worked for MAYBE 6 weeks and since then, I've had

Would certainly have recomended this but,of late, Hotmail has banned my emails for some reason and this is now causing problems. I emailed support but got no reply at all. Tried several times but nothing. Odd ebcasue they can still use that email address to ask for my yearly fee...
