My servers went down on 7/7/16 at 10pm GMT and its now 11/7/2016 and the server still isn't back up.

The support team NEVER give you any information about when it will be repaired/restored and their ticketing system means that if you file a ticket then go in and manually update that ticket, it returns to the bottom of the pile as the system doesn't allow you to constantly update the information.

The customer service is a definite -100, they are polite, but indifferent and do not get into any conversation about what's happening with your repair.

I asked for a call back from a manager and 24 hours later that hasn't happened, all they can say is that an email was sent yesterday to them and they have sent another email today.

Please, I am a business owner that resells this service, be conscious of your own customers and your reputation and DO NOT buy this service. It is fantatsically easy to set up but there is no customer service on the back end. Can you imagine my customers coming into work this morning 4 days without service, yeah, you woudn't want that either!!!

If I had known that this would be the outcome in this situation I'd never have signed up, they can't even send me a copy of their Service Level Agreement because there isn't one.

Don't buy this service, definitely seek an alternative and please, please, please check out customer service reviews from your supplier not just product reviews because this is the busines end of the deal and my clients are already talking about getting their own hosting sorted out.

18 failures of service in 12 months ... you do the math!!!

Technically Host Papa does a good job but they have a mechanical and bureaucratic approach to customer relations and satisfaction. My three yearly subscription went up by a ridiculous amount. I only discovered this when I received my credit card statement. It seems that renewal advice was sent out with a no-reply 'from' header so it would not have been recognized or I would have cancelled then. Customer service was totally inflexible about giving me any sort of a refund even if I ceased to be a cost to the company. They may have been within their rights to retain three years subscription for doing nothing but it is very poor business practice unlikely to endear them to potential customers.

If you notice, most positive reviews are about the packages and the buying process - give anyone a chance to actually experience the terrible service and they soon change their mind.

Avoid at all costs. Especially if you value your sanity.

HostPapa is a great web hosting company. The amount of freebies they offer is amazing compared to other hosting companies. The offer free domain hosting, free website builder, 200+ free apps, free advanced security features, $250 in marketing credits and over $150-$400 a year in extras with a Business or Business pro plan. There customer support was great too! I especially love the guaranteed 99.9% uptime, which lives up to it's promise and the fact that they offer a 30-day money back guarantee is great for customers who want to try a new host. Aside from this, there pricing and weekly deals are superb and super cheap. You definitely get your monies worth!

Hostpapa is a nickle and dime back yard outfit, they seem more interested in charging you for every service under the sun but not interested in customer service. One gets the feeling they are calling a third world call center when trying to sort out an issue. My web server was hacked and I went to do a restore from a backup - another service I pay for, however their software restore did not work. I called support and its been over a week and I am still waiting for them to do a manual restore for me. Meantime I am losing money on my web site every day that it is down, I am paying web developers to sit around and do nothing, I had an app disapproved during the testing phase because my site is down. If you have a website business I would not recommend hostpapa due to their support being almost non existent!

I've just about finished my first year with Hostpapa and have just one complaint. My email has been blocked by at least three of my client's highly secure office email servers. I work with high end clients and communication is key. One of my clients even went as far as to contact their webhost to determine the problem and their host stated that Hostpapa uses a commonly blocked port. Something that Hostpapa denied when I asked them,

Given this information, you'd think I'd be keen to switch. However, where is my guarantee that another host will not do the same seeing as Hostpapa gets great reviews just like all the others...

We just got a mail saying: "Take 5 minutes, submit your positive HostPapa review to one of the sites below, and in return we'll give you up to $36 worth of HostPapa services!"

Unfortunately we just left HostPapa. We had weeks of complaining when we had 500 errors, and being told the issue was resolved. The fourth time we contacted support, we were told instead: "Your account has way to many connections for shared host you will need to looks at moving to a VPS or dedicated hosting account. Unfortunately at this time we only provide Shared hosting accounts."

Over the years we've been hosted by several companies, all offering the best, providing ..... usually far lest than that :-)

At the beginning Hostpapa was just "the new one in the queue", not expensive and therefore not much expected!

WHAT A MISTAKE!

For no money Hostpapa has provided us a stable, trustful, easy and confortable environment even expending our expectations and opening news ways we didn't consider until then.

We finally found our last host! Can only warmly recommand them.

Host papa is the best web hosting site online today. They have everything for me. And when I needed help, I simply called them and they advised me how to help my situation out. I have absolutely no regrets signing up with host papa!
