Fantastic Site, Useful Resources Very Friendly Peo

Fantastic site, useful resources very friendly people. Many meets on regional basis. So glad I joined! Saved a packet in car repairs.

No bad points so far.. You get a few sour grapes, but you get that on most sites. The most polite bunch I've met so far online. Recommend anyone that has an Alfa to join. The AROC club (different site) have a snobby attitude and are mostly tweed wearing pipe smokers over the ages of 65.

The Alfaowner "club" Is A Mixed Bag Really. The P

The Alfaowner "club" is a mixed bag really. The positive is that it is a large, well organised site with plenty of traffic and provides quick answers to most questions. The search function does not work very well and you will get heavily criticised if you ask questions that have been asked before. The sticky "how to" posts are a bit disorganised in some lounges. It is a huge site and understandably has regular technical problems.

It promotes itself as a "friendly" site and the mods work hard to ensure that there is no overt hostility or rudeness between members, applying sanctions, editing and deleting posts as required. Unfortunately, they do little to deter the pedantic, snide, sniping or covert baiting from some long established members that has become a defining characteristic of AO.

There are three levels of membership: Free, Medio and Premio. My advice is to stick to the free membership. Medio and Premio gives you nothing extra apart from access to a lounge for nonsense discussions about what you had for breakfast, what socks to wear or completely unfathomable chat between grown men and women pretending to be Borgs/bots/Bored!

Traders, main dealers and insurance specialists maintain a presence on the site. Although clearly touting for business under a thin veneer of giving free advice, they are a useful source of advice and information.

It is much better for modern Alfas (147, 156, GT, GTV, Brera, 159, 166) than other clubs, but not as good for classic Alfas.

Overall, some great features, some excellent people, hard-working staff but spoilt by a small number of dubious high posters who have learnt to be unpleasant and insulting whilst still sticking to the letter of the rules.

I've Been An Alfaowner In Both Senses For A Couple

I've been an AlfaOwner in both senses for a couple of years, Great chat with reasonably like minded people, had good discussions, disagreements and only come across one member whom I dislike - Great community.

If you have, or want an Alfa Romeo, look in, its well worth it, loads of tips, and after a while its rewarding to be able to help others too

Alfaowner.com Is A Fantasic Forum That Has Everyth

Alfaowner.com is a fantasic forum that has everything to offer to new and old Alfa owners.

Great technical sections for all models including the classic Alfa's, a very lively chat and off topic section and the Regional meets are Fantastic.

Some clutter in the Tech forums due to folk not used to car forums not using the search facility.

Was A Member, Have Since Left And Joined The Offic

Was a member, have since left and joined the official Alfa Romeo Owners club (AROC) and another forum called Alfa Mondiale.

Too much clique-ness and back biting.A lot of threads seemed to be on matters totally unrealated to the marque and this leads to too many people joining the forum for the wrong reasons.

Great Community With Very Helpful Knowledgable Peo

Great community with very helpful knowledgable people on board. It is completely free to join, however there are two options available at £15 and £25 respectively that offer you more from the site.

Well worth a look if you are an owner of the fabulous Alfa Romeo marque.

I Would Suggests Signing Up As It Is Only £1

I would suggests signing up as it is only £15 quid a year for basic membership and £25 a year for the best (Premio) membership, I got a fabulous welcome pack with a black key ring membercard (about the size of a club card)

I found this review not helpful because... Gives the impression that you must pay to access the site. This is just not true.

Was Able To Register With The Alfa Romeo Owners Cl

Was able to register with the Alfa Romeo Owners Club and activated as soon as I paid online. I saved £340 with the club insurance, even with modifications and I have made so many new friends already let fixed things that previously I had payed people to do (how I have been wasting hard earned money).

I would join, I payed the £25 option but there is a cheaper one at £15.

I found this review not helpful because... failed to mention the option of free membership. The club does not actually offer its own insurance - it allows Adrian Flux to have a presence and their quotes may or may not be cheaper than anyone else. Very misleading review in my opinion.
