Although the hospital is very beautiful, the attendants are very unprofessional with lack of understanding of their duties and responsibilities. I visited ENT specialist, who told me that I have to come again after one week for follow up, but she didn't mention that i have to pay 360DHs again (i don't have insurance). I tried to complain about this to the manager who promised me to solve this problem and call me back. Nobody called me back. I called directly, her answer was - "It's your problem." I had the worst experience with Dr. Rolf at this clinic. He has absolutely no bedside manner and is highly condescending. I booked a 9 am appointment so as to go directly to Abu Dhabi for work after. After finally being seen at 9:40am I was told that's issues weren't a priority and that I would have to wait for him to see all the other patients in the waiting room before doing the treatment I'd booked for. He refused to give me an approximate deadline and was absolutely unappologetic when I reminded him that I needed to go to work and that this is what I'd booked for. This was my third visit to the clinic and the final straw. In my other appointments he'd also been unfriendly, dismissive and condescending however for lack of knowing where else to go (the clinic is linked with my GPs clinic) I went back. I am now going to put some effort into finding a good dermatologist. In a word, he's a jerk.

During the last three years I have used UniCare for my GCAA medical needs. I have always been treated well by all the support staff and especially Dr. Anil. This is my first time to have to see the Ophthamologist, Dr. P.M. Sudhakaran. This doctor stands out un great contrast compared to the rest of the staff. During my first visit, he as aloof, conceited and had zero politeness. I can understand this if the man is providing proper care. When he was so rude, even to his own staff, they kept saying sorry for the Dr.’s behavior, saying he is old and that is why he is the way he is. I can understand some allowance for being old and grumpy, but to sit on his quarters running over the patient and the staff while having them do everything. They gave me an old reading block in Lucite, with the paper being detached from the face and bent, in blue and with Hindi lines that dates back to the 70’s I am sure. They then asked me to read the item. I had difficulty and asked for advice, he just said I will not pass you. I said what should I do? Near vision, any other things to consider? I waved his had and sent me away. I then made an appointment for an eye exam. I came back with new glasses and read fine, though he was so impatient, he said my glasses or my Dr. was no good! He also said he will pass me only because he did not want to see me. I feel this is his attitude as he is rude and very unprofessional. As an airline pilot, I can’t and don’t treat other staff or our customers like this. Be aware, again during the second visit he did not even approach me to check my eyes. He just ordered the help, who was in fear of him. Worthless care received, puts our license and health at risk. I wish for others and the government to know that this man is a sham and hardly an asset to Dubai’s medical society.
