I have purchased a number of products from Ambient Lounge and I have no issue with them.

However, private messages sent via social media are way out of line and I will not be a customers of theirs again.

A copy of the message I received was sent to them and they didn't acknowledge or apologise.

Be very careful of any communications with the company.

I have an 8 year old playful golden retriever that has chewed and pillaged many dog beds in his time. we finally came across a more premium bed (ambient lounge) and he absolutely loves it. We went for the large cappuccino and he has used it for nearly 3 years now and we just wanted to say thanks. The fur is so soft and easy to wash. Highly recommend.

Not fit for purpose. Incredibly poor return policy. A very, very bad experience with a company that's just not that bothered.

If you buy a 4 seat sofa/lounger, you expect it to function as a 4 seat sofa/lounger as that's what it is pretending to be, but these ones won't. Unless of course you expect it to compress until you are sitting 10 inches off the ground within 3-4 months. The company website seems to think it will take a year, but their special pellets don't last long. The company knows it's a problem and asks you to accept it as normal, even giving you some top up pellets when this happens for the first time, but it will happen again and again over the life of your couch/lounger as you will most likely be using it every day. This will cost you £42 per bag, and the 4 seater will use that up in one top up, which you will probably need to do 3 times a year. Misleading? I think so. Expensive and unreasonable upkeep? I think so.

The company will say it is to be expected as it's "soft furniture" and not a couch/sofa at all, even though it is designed to do the same job. It does not, not even close.

I thought when I bought this, their specially formulated filler was different than regular old foam pellets, and it would work. I was wrong. There are 2 comfort modes; super firm when new/freshly topped up and floppy, sitting near the floor, difficult to stand up, needing to kick and fluff it back up EVERY SINGLE TIME you go to sit on it, after 3-4 months.

The return policy.

You have 2 weeks and it must not be used. That's tricky when it's a 4 seat sofa/lounger. How is 2 weeks, unused going to tell you how bad the filling is or how it will perform 3 months from then? If I was using it outside of it's intended purpose, I would understand a reluctance to refund, but it does not do what it is designed to do. It is not fit for purpose!

Consumer Protection and Trades Description will also be hearing from me as I feel they are getting this wrong.

The customer service team will write you nice, reasonably toned emails BTW, but at the end of the day, you were a fool to have bought a product so unfit for its intended purpose and you should have realized this as soon as it arrived at your door, certainly before the plastic wrap came off.

Came across 'ambient lounge' website in my search for beanbag chairs. Initially intended ordering an Avatar lounger and emailed requesting some fabric swatches. Finally decided on a Twin Couch. Found the company to be extremely helpful and very quick to respond to my several email enquiries. Placed an order by email on Monday and received the goods on Tuesday. Well packaged. Ingenious easy fill system with easy to following instructions for transferring the beans into the beanbag chairs - no beans escaping. Excellent quality product. A pleasure to do business with 'ambient lounge'.

I purchased a bean bag after seeing their Butterfly Sofa in the Daily Telegraph. I called up and was a little annoyed got answering machine, however got a call back and the people were nice. I decided to purchase and the main thing was that the bean bag is fantastic. Very beautiful fabric. I had to write a review because this is one product that I use almost every night when I watch TV. Their website was pretty good too - but maybe a few too many choices made it confusing.

Order the bag, it was in stock, received the email, but no delivery email, to confirm as stated in the first email. Range the company on 3 successive days no answer, only answer phone, attempted to call them via skype, same thing, left messages no returned calls. Emails were finally answered, was told item was despatched, and second email arrived (excuse given we are moving and have had problems with voip). Rang delivery company, they had not received the goods at all, (this was Saturday a day after it was supposed to be delivered. Asked for the order to be cancelled, was told no, finally Monday got refund after Delivery company again confirmed they had not received the order at their depot... Useless good product bad service and support

I wanted a bean bag for the lounge, they have progressed somewhat over the last 5 years from blobs to faux leather sofas and chairs, but most still aren't anything special. I was attracted to the Ambient Lounge website by their "designer bean bag" strapline. There was a choice of 4 bean bags all very different to the others available on the market. It was difficult deciding which one to go for. The 360 degree views on the site made it much easier.

I went with the White Milano and it was with me within 5 days. TV time has become a pleasure again.
