Worst Of The Bad Job Sites

No jobs, no correct or accurate searches, same 3 old jobs from many months ago

Spamming of emails telling you to sign up happens a lot

Dont waste your time going to this pop up happy spammy site full of old low paying out of date jobs that stay the same 6 months later

Complete Waste Of Time!

Shame I had to leave 1 star, seems way too much!

Fish4Jobs is the worst job site I have EVER used! All they advertise is 'Work From Home' jobs or jobs that have long past the closing date!

If you're searching for a reliable job search site - I'd avoid this one like the plague! I've had ex boyfriends more reliable and that's a saying something!

Stick to the likes of Indeed for you job searches and not this pile of rubbish!

What I Liked: The X tab in the top right corner of the page

What I Didn't Like: It's entire existence

Rubbish

This site always gives priority to the 'work from home and earn $900 a week part time' type adverts we all know and hate and then a list of links to other recruitment agencies. Best avoided

If You Want A Job Dont Fish4

This is one of the most terrible excuses of job websites I have ever had the misfortune to use.I would advise you against using it if you want to make progress.

It doesn't have any jobs that's the problem and so it seems to substitute the job you are looking for with any pointless keyword. I've been looking for chef vacancies for a while and the best job fish4jobs can come up with is a van driver in the whole of Yorkshire. They have recently updated it and its no better at all and is still a complete waste of time. So if I search for Chef vacancies in the whole of West Yorkshire it gives me zero and I know for a fact there are hundreds available. The best it could do is give me a job in Cheshire (wrong county) which wasn't even the kind of job I wanted. They don't know what they are doing and should give up now before they embarrass themselves further

Fish4 Anything But Jobs

I use a lot of the job websites at the moment and have become really proficient using them and their little quirks. Fish4jobs is by far the worst even worse than universal jobmatch the government run site with 1000's of fake jobs on it.

I am referring to the old and new fish4 job websites as they have just updated it (July 2014)

The search is where the opportunities are for job seekers. If its accurate and configurable then you don't have to waste your time sorting through things that are irrelevant. Fish4 turns up complete rubbish in searches in terms of job titles not matching and why would anyone want a job they don't do. Its clearly pointless to everyone concerned, job hunters, employers, recruiters. No-one wins.

It has a tiny percentage of the jobs that are on all other sites and that's a good reason not to bother but when you get ridiculous jobs coming up in searches then its a complete waste of time.

Ignores Where The Client Lives And The Distance To Travel

I live in Crieff in Scotland and I have registered for a year with 'Fish for jobs'.My settings say I am happy to travel 15 miles to work and this will allow me to work in a local city of Perth and I have activated my job alerts with this setting, I am an experienced farmer/stockman and horticulturist with upto 20 years working knowledge and what alerts do I get.......Woking in Surrey (400 miles away)....Dorking (450 miles)......Cornwall (500+ miles).

This is a computer generated response with little human application.

Bizarre Website Fails On A Basic Level

After searching for jobs on this site, you'll see a short description for each job in the search results, and you'd expect more detailed information upon clicking on each entry. But there's almost nothing. The short 'blurb' in the results is suddenly nowhere to be seen(!), meaning there's no info about the job in any way, save for the general location, whether it's full or part time, whether it's contract or temporary, and the industry sector. There's nothing about when each job was posted, or when it expires. Inexplicable.

I don't know, maybe it's my browser?

Unbelievably Bad

Having previously used totaljobs, I was hesitant to switch to another recruiter but the sales man hounded me for weeks, promised me the earth and eventually wore me down so I agreed to a 28 day posting of a previously successful ad used with others.

Within a few days, I had an email from my "account manager" letting me know that she would be in touch to see how it was going. That was the last contact.

I knew within the first week that this was going wrong because we'd only had one application (compared to usually around 30 in first week) so I contacted my "account manager" to ask what they could do to improve this, the answer was "I cant really suggest anything else that we could do to boost applications", but she said she'd speak to her manager and come back to me...she never did.

By the end of the listing, we'd had a handful of applicants and no follow up whatsoever from Fish. They had taken my money and then forgotten about me, job done as far as they were concerned.

I Will Never Use Fish4 Site Again. We Had A Very B

I will never use Fish4 site again. We had a very bad experience with this board and people who work for this company. The response to our advertisement was poor and of low quality. All this has created extra work with no results at all. The sales staff was friendly until they sold a 'special offer' contract and from this point onwards, Fish4 legal department took over. I worked with lots of professional businesses and it was always pleasure to deal with however, this one was not one of them. It is a shame that one of the leading companies like Fish4 has such low rating and bad reputation but there must be a good reason for it. I gave them 1 star in rating to be able to write this comment but only for this reason, if there was another option, I would give them '0'.
