When Libra decided to hand the keys over to the current admin, the place took a nose-dive which has been irreversible. They immediately started to abuse their power. G-Lines galore. They treated the chatters as if they were 12 year olds. Knight_Errant went way overboard with power, and began to systematically push people off this chat network. Hundreds of people left, never to return. These admin sit there, even now, waiting for someone to ban. Do not bother coming to this network. It's a waste of time. I've never seen a chat network ran by such a group of imbeciles. If you want a pleasant chat experience, go elsewhere.

I used to be a very active member of the Libra chat, in fact I still have a registered account there but I don't visit the chat anymore. Today Librairc is least visited IRC server, the citadel of boredom, unlike in very first years. In addition we have been terrified by the rumors about new moderator and his horrible past. Of course, it was just an odd rumor and we couldn't figure out the truth but it literally ruined the friendly atmosphere of chat and everyone left.

The libra chat had been serving as a safe harbor for me during the public campaign against my persona. In the time of hysteria and persecutions I calmed down there and received an energy from communication with younger generations. Admins treated me well like old buddies and I felt like we were fighting for a common cause.

It had been fine until some annoying troll discovered my real life personality. Probably info leaked from administration. Trolls started harassing me daily. Life suddenly became nightmare. Guess what was the answer of admins? They forced me to deny my personality on the main chat channel! Last night I was forced to deny my name and second name on public, I denied myself, I actually cried while typing the text. Feelings similar to humiliations during a prison sentence. Such a horrible place.

Imagine the IRC network dying out day by day where users go away and never come back. Where moderators ban random members, while allowing only lovers and close buddies to come in. The network users are aging and virtually dying out, the admins suffer from dementia issues and one of them is claiming to have very creepy experience of Australian prison. The main channel is about 10-15 users only because you're forbidden to leave the channel without disconnection from the network. That horrible place is named "libra irc".

The place attracts very toxic trolls, when I tried to ask help from IRCop WildCard he was boasting he is so busy to moderate about 50 channels, when actually 99% of his channels have only 1 bot-member. Avoid that odd and depressive place if you can, never go there.

I was known as "HP" and here are my reasons why I left the chat.

Racist members were constantly attacking me for my Chinese origin, communist views and some spicy features of anatomy. When I asked ops for help they banned me without explanations, in general they like to ban random users and those who ask their help.

The only lovely user I knew was Neal, my dearest bossie aussie. Nostalgia returns when I remember the sweet days when we were sharing movies about animals. But even that can't make up for all the negativity I experienced, I've never been humiliated like that elsewhere. Libra chat is probably the most racist and abusive place in the entire Universe.

just be careful of bad/trolls people, they do get banned whenever spotted with there vpn, sometimes they come here to write fake reviews. beside that libra is safe place to chill and have fun , ops are good friendly , chopper and wildcard do good job . they have #help and ticket system on web you can send complain and they will ban the abuser .

This network has been a profound disappointment from the start. It is disheartening to witness how operators have banned all the decent chatters, leaving behind a dwindling group of individuals who exploit the platform to propagate political propaganda, blatantly endorsing communism and despotism. Any disagreement with their repetitive ideas, which echo like broken records every few minutes, leads to swift bans.

Furthermore, the network seems to have become a haven for a multitude of religious preachers, primarily those promoting Islam and seeking conversions. This imbalance in representation hampers the diverse exchange of ideas and fosters an environment that feels exclusionary.

Attempting to create a personal space within the network to share happiness and peace with friends is a futile endeavor. The operators shamelessly snatch such rooms and allocate them to their favored few, reminiscent of loyal lapdogs. This blatant favoritism undermines the principles of fairness and equality that any respectable network should uphold.

Disturbing rumors surround one of the operators.  It is crucial to note that these allegations remain unverified, yet their mere existence casts a shadow of doubt over the integrity of the network.

To make matters worse, the network is plagued by schemers preying on unsuspecting users. One such incident involved a guitar lesson where the instructor displayed incompetence and, instead of apologizing, resorted to yelling at a student. Such behavior is not only unprofessional but also unacceptable in any educational setting.

In conclusion, this network's existence seems ill-conceived. With banned chatters, political propaganda, religious imbalances, rumors of misconduct, it fails to provide a safe and inclusive environment for its users. It is my sincere hope that the network's administrators take note of these concerns and strive to rectify the myriad issues that currently plague this platform.

This chat is run by a gang of operator who have no basic education. They discriminate chatters by nation culture and religion. I think some police authority should start investigating in this network because they are not respecting common legal netiquuette. Moreover they have got the attention of some serious hacking group who often raid the network with flooding messages in order to destabilize these keyboard despote operators. Result the network is often dead most of the valid chatters have left

This place was fun several years back, but the Opers have slowly trashed this chat network. Over-controlling of chatters, basically micromanaging everything. They treat the chatters like they are 12 years old. trolls are constantly flooding, and the perverts are always sending dirty links in dm's.
