I would suggest nobody buy from this auction.

I waited over 2 1/2 weeks to receive the item i was high bidder on.

I waited over 2 weeks to even get them to respond to me.

When I finally did talk to the jerk he gave me a line of BS like I went to the post office twice to mail it but the line was too long. Then he said he was out of town also.

Then he black listed me with HiBid Auctions saying I was hard to get alone with.

He has not seen hard to get along with!!

Won't be dealing with this jerk again!!!!

I recently purchased an item (battery drill) from bumblebee. It took over the 30 day period to be delivered and when tested both batteries where flat, the charger does not work and smells of burnt circuit boards.

The listing stated 'untested' and as I now know this is a euphemism for 'this item is kna***red and we know it'

This is a way for the police to sell items that have sat in the property office for a couple of years to swell the Christmas party funds.

I will never purchase anything from Bumblebee again.

I placed a bid on an item (bike) at 08.45 and the item was due to finish at 08.59 giving the time of the previous highest bidder time to enter a higher bid if they so wish, I was still winning the bid at £4.50 as I was at 08.45 . 08.59 came and went and still no other bids came in, otherwise the £4.50 which was winning the auction at 08.45 and the finish time of 08.59 would have increased to £5.50.

I waited and waited thinking what is going on here and it wasn't until 09,26 nearly half hour AFTER the auction end time that someone decided to throw in another bid and eventually went to £9.

After numerous emails asking what had happened the only answer I got from c,l (admin) was there was no mistake as he has run this auction for 12 years so tough luck, after explaining that no other bid had came in and I should have won this at 08.59 auction end time and an error has occurred your end,I gave up as the emails were becoming more rude and aggressive and I refused to pay for an item that had not finished at the time it was supposed to and had been bid up

I bought a Gold chain off this site marked as 'Yellow Metal'. Clearly assumed it to be an untested Gold chain sold as usual at any auction as 'untested' Yellow metal but clearly Gold. Gold = Yellow metal - Silver = white metal.

Being a Police auction, assumed this would be a trust worthy, reliable and honest auction site. It was not.

When I won the auction I traveled 30 miles to pick the chain up.

Arrived at the Police station and asked the desk Sergeant for my item, a 20'' Gold chain.

On being handed the envelope the look on the Sergeant's face said it all, and I took hold of what felt like an empty envelope.

I took the tin chain out of the envelope and realized I had just been a victim, the same sort you hear of on Ebay where someone buy's a Playstaion but only receives the box of a Playstaion.... because that's what the picture was of.

The item I won was not worth the postage I would have paid if I had not traveled 30 miles to pick up.

New it may have cost 2-5£, I will say that again no exaggeration 2-5£ new!!

The chain should have gone in the bin and not auctioned off as jewelry.

Clearly not Gold as I and various other bidders obviously assumed, clearly had no value. But yes it was Yellow and possibly metal...

After sales basically laughed at me and told me I had no rights as it was an auction, I wrote numerous emails to be told too bad its an auction, you bid you won end of.

If this had been a bigger chain I may have lost an awful lot of money!

I won a camera for £73 including postage - 10 weeks and 4 emails later still no camera despite assurances It will be with you in a few days

Impossible to phone them and their service department generally ignores your e.mails.

Stick to Gumtree / Preloved or eBay........give this shower a miss.

I won an auction but the item mysteriously disappeared after it became clear it was worth more than the value of the sale. what is also strange is the total junk that is sold. Examples like expensive watch boxes - what happened to the watches? Is this really all the articles the police manage to confiscate from criminals?! The response from customer service - read our terms and conditions.

I agree with all the previous comments. I first went to the site 2/3 years ago. You may of been lucky with one or two buys then! However, over the last 18 plus, they appear to be knowingly selling junk are ripping people off. If you tried to do the same, you would be arrested z& prosecuted for fraud, or if you were running a business be reported to trading standards & eventually closed down. They seem to be getting away with this scot free. I received an item and there was a label on the bag stating not diamonds. They omitted this from the description & I ended with a mad winning bit for the paste ring. The Police! Need to come clean & be honest. They need to look at the procedure regarding this auction & get it sorted. Imagine the profits that they are making from this site & wonder where it's going, overtime, Xmas lunched....

DO NOT buy from this rip off site. It really isn't worth the stress. They are supposed to be a police auction, however they don't run it like police departments should be run that's for sure! I paid within days, way back between 5th and 7th June, it is now over a month later and nothing has arrived! Four items (all £4.99 postage for rubbish jewellery) and the so called customer services person, is rude and says I must 'actually read their terms' about 28 days which it is well within?? What?? Just don't buy from here, thank God my account is now closed as I refused to pay for the last auction I won and they close my account and relisted. Trying, so far in vain, to get my money back from Nochex which is the only payment method by the way, not paypal which is the safest, so again, don't waste your time and energy!

THIS SO CALLED AUCTION IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF, PLEASE BE ADVISED STAY WELL CLEAR.

Bought an unframed limited print, idiots stuffed it in an ordinary envelope and posted it with no DO NOT BEND markings.

Arrived folded several times, resulting in creases in picture.

Demanded a refund and was promised a cheque in post.

Cheque never received.

AVOIS this auction site unless you are collecting.
