Zero Stars If I Could. I Ordered A 'like New' Boo
Zero stars if I could.
I ordered a 'Like New' book as I needed it for my daughters school, I bought another new book as well for convince. Order was delivered but only the new book arrived. After countless chasing it appears the advertised book was never available even though 2 weeks later it is STILL advertised there yet they claim only a worse condition version is actually available, they simply didn't bother sending it or telling you either.
There is NO WAY TO CONTACT them on the phone, email contacts are next to useless (6 back and forth so far with no result). They are clearly ripping people off by taking your money for books that they simply do not have...
Still unresolved, have my money but no book..... and a huge waste of time.

Appalling After Sales Customer Service
I ordered 3 seasons of a TV drama. I ordered DVDs. The advert on their site only says DVD for those seasons. When I received the order 2 seasons were BluRayDisc. I have no BluRay player. My two emails with them have met with scripted responses that bore no relation to the error. Twice I asked for them to confirm whether or not they could replace the BluRay with DVD. They never answered.
When I request a full refund and return of them & asked for a pre paid postage label as their T&Cs say they bear the cost when the refund relates to their error. No answer.
I have used them for approximately 5 years. This is the first time I have had a problem and their response has been deplorable.
The order number is: WGB-2406-23126312

Paid For But Never Received.
I purchased a book online and paid for it.
But then I had an opportunity to travel overseas unexpectedly.
After I returned home, I went to my neighbor to collect my mail and packages, but no book.
So I contacted world of books, and they basically told me tough luck, we're not going to replace your book or issue a refund.
So I highly recommend not to ever have any dealings with such a dishonest company.
They did say it was their policy after 90 days.
But they cheated me, and refused to do the right thing.

Incorrect Book Sent- Expectation For Customer To Pay Postage
Ordered George Orwell Coming Up for Air specific edition (with black border and hat) as shown on website. Incorrect edition came.
WOB eventually agreed to provide refund as long as I returned the erroneous book (would be no problem) but I would need to pay for postage (makes no sense to me)
Tried to put blame on me as apparantly there was ISBN code on page (they cannot verify this) and by having this I could somehow tap myself into a Library database and check it was the correct version?
Bizarre company

Book Ordered Not Sent And Refund Shortchanged
I ordered a book listed for sale on World of Books (WoB) website. After payment had been taken out but no notification of shipping, I emailed to follow up. I received a response that I should have received an email that the book was in a poor condition and unable to sell it, but I could order another book. I emailed to ask for a refund. A refund was made but less than the full amount paid for the book by about $3.00. I emailed to ask for the shortfall to be paid and was informed it was "for tax". A few days later I was paid it, less 30 cents. I know 30 cents isn't much but if 30c or $3.00 etc is taken off every refund that's a lot of $ WoB is taking off people. WoB shouldn't be advertising unsaleable books and should be refunding in full.

No Customer Service No Product
Shocked at such poor customer service or any service for that matter. I ordered an item 17 days ago paying extra for express delivery and I am yet to receive it. Apparently as per tracking details Royal Mail are yet to receive it. It was due as per the email within 4 days. The phone number of WOB doesn’t allow you to speak to anyone just directs you to email addresses. And those, despite saying they will respond within 24/48 are yet to reply some 7 days later. This includes the ‘bot’ system. How dare a company take your money without providing a product. This company does not appear trust worthy. I realise I am going on my experience but not to have a way of contacting or communicating with a company is very suspicious but is quick to take your money.

Wrong Item Sent
I ordered a DVD via ebay and the wrong dvd was recieved. I contacted World of books and although I recieved a reply they said I had to go through ebay. I did so ebay sent a bar code for item to be returned. When I went to the Post office this did not work. I contacted ebay twice with no response. I recieved an email saying the case was now closed.
Bottom line is World of Books are not responsible for ebay but they are responsible for sending the wrong item hence the poor review.

Bad Quality And Equally Bad Customer Service
This is the last time I place an order with the World of Books, I ordered 14 books, all were described as LIKE NEW or in VERY GOOD CONDITION, some of the books that arrived should have been thrown away, extremely tatty with damaged pages, most of the books that were described as VERY GOOD CONDITION, were more like GOOD to POOR, One of the books from the order never arrived.
The World of Books packaging is useless, they ship books out in thin plastic bags, this offers little protection to the books, and as such, most of them had damage to the corners, adding to the miserable experience of already having to deal with books that were not in as described condition.
customer care was uncooperative in this matter...
World of Books must review their quality control standards.
