Avoid.

Very poor service?! with this online company items shown as in stock but not! being given the run around over monies to be refund and STILL WAITING!!. Could not contact by telephone always gives message as being busy!!.Can only contact via a chat line not the best experience. Would NOT Recommend.

False Stock Expectations ** Do Not Order Form This Company**

I ordered some filters and even rang in (before placing the order!) to make sure they can deliver on time, as I wanted the items before I went on holiday (10th). Everything was OK when I rang in to confirm.

1. Ordered items on the 3rd. Rang Customer "Service" - promised I would have them in a couple of days! I was evening willing to pay extra to make sure I got my delivery on time but was assured I can get in on free delivery.

2. Get an email on the 4th items will be shipped on 8th!!! So I email customer "Service" - item not in stock will definitely be with them on the 8th and they will ship next day! I was given the opportunity to cancel the order but when promised delivery for 9th. I assumed it would be fine and in time for me to take the items on holiday.

3. 9th arrived - no Mr. Postman with my delivery! Write a quick email to customer "Service" - response back:

"We regret to inform you that your parcel didnt ship yesterday due to a shortage on our delivery. We contacted our supplier promptly and we discovered this morning that our supplier is actually out of stock on one item".

So when I was promised delivery - they hadn't even checked with the supplier to ensure items were available! So now I am due to go on holiday tomorrow with NOTHING and to cap it all I even arranged to work from home so I could ensure I could take delivery (even told customer "service" that).

The didn't even bother to contact me to see if they could part ship - NO COMMUNICATION at all unless I chased up!!

I would NEVER order anything from this company again!!

Foto Nonsense

I ordered a camera which was in stock but would take 1-3 days to ship. I was charged immediately and told it would be despatched in 4 days time (already over the 3 days) but 4 days came and went and still no camera. I contacted fotosense after a further 4 days (now 8 days) and told stock would be arriving today. A further 3 days passed and still no camera in stock but "should" be in next week. After nearly 2 weeks and still no sign of the camera I cancelled the order which was the best thing I did. Just waiting to get my money back now. If you want proper service go through a proper company.

Misleading Stock Levels

Coming across this website for the first time, I did a search for reviews. Several I saw dating as far back as 2009 had reviews where customers had placed orders for 'in stock' items only to find they were out of stock. This wasn't the odd occurrence, it seemed a common complaint. Well, after reading that, I decided to call them and guess what? Both cameras were out of stock and not expected in for the best part of a week. It seems they still either have problems updating their website or else deliberately mis-state their stock situation. It's still a common complaint about them in many reviews. For the sake of saving £20 or so on a £300 camera, I'd rather trade with someone who is upfront about what they can offer.

To make it worse, there was no apology, no offer to let me know when the goods came in, nothing at all to get my custom. Perhaps that's because they know the goods will take much longer to get in stock than they said....

Bargain Binoculars

Recently looked for good value binoculars. Found Vanguard Spirit XF 10 x 42 to be obsolescent and reduced on Amazon and some other sites to £130 (rrp about £220.) These were reviewed as being good quality at a keen price to start with. Then found the website for Fotosense.co.uk who were offering it at £109 with an additional 10% sale reduction. I ordered the binoculars and out of the sale saving paid for 1st class mail, otherwise they had free delivery. The binoculars arrived the next day and are superb, in my opinion. The alternative would have been the Spirit ED 10 x 42 glasses which had the advantage of superior ED glass. However, these generally were available for £195 with currently a cashback offer of £40 from the manufacturer. Still 50% more than the ones I bought, though, which have plenty of brightness. So I would recommend anyone to go to Fotosense while their offer is still on.

Vanguard Binoculars

I ordered a pair of Vanguard Spirit ED 10x42 binoculars from fotoSENSE mid morning and they were delivered the following mid-day at exactly the time quoted,what a marvellous service.

The Binoculars are superb, a present for my son's birthday, he and his son (age 10)are keen nature lovers and find them easy to use, very good vision and easy to grip even with small hands.

Extended Warranty Repair

We purchased the 3 year extended waranty when we brought an Olympus 310 water proof digital camera from UKDigital cameras. After 18 months it leaked so we returned it. Within 3 weeks we had received the next model up as a replacement. Fantastic service!

Great Service

I rang Fotosense to enquire about a camcorder I wanted to buy. I was told by a member of staff called Catarina that they didn't have stock which I thought was very honest but could get it for me and deliver within 3 days and true to her word it arrived as promised. I am very pleased with the camcorder and the bundle that I purchased. Also a big thank you for the pleasent service. Will be recommending to all friends and family.
