Microglobe often comes up as the cheapest for camera and telescope sales but there's a reason for this. They have terrible customer service. They are completely unresponsive. They overcharged me and then promised a refund. Despite several messages sent to them since they have still not provided the refund they agreed to provide and it is over a month later. Avoid.

Ordered over 3 months ago Celestron battery pack as they were one of very few shops that had it available for delivery at that time in Europe. I really regret, because I have seen neither the battery pack nor my money back. The shop is purposely avoiding my emails and not responding to requests of transferring money back (their WorldPay integration at their website is broken so you have to use regular bank transfer. And of course you cannot do an easy chargeback on them in that case).

Avoid at all cost! I am right now in the process of complaint through ombudsman.

I have dealt with microglobe several times over the last 1.5 years without any problems at all. I've bought bulk purchase items and have received good discounts and prompt delivery. Up untill 3 months ago I'd never had reason to return anything for a warranty claim untill a pair of binoculars were delivered at Xmas 2015 which were faulty, basicly the lenses were not aligned properly. I returned them after a quick email too and from Microglobe confirming that "after return they would dispatch a replacement pair". I sent them via recorded delivery at expense to me and they arrived at Microglobe the next morning. Excuses were from "they have been sent to manufactuer for replacement" "waiting for stock to be delivered" etc etc. That was 3 months ago and after exhausting every avenue I'm still without a replacement pair of binoculars or the agreed refund, which was promised in the last set of communications. Cheap prices do not come without problems so be warned. I'll not be using Microglobe anymore, and all for the sake of a £49 pair of binoculars they have lost thousnds of pounds worth of business.

I purchased a set of Celestron binoculars for my father, and was a little concerned on the basis of older reviews. Any fears were totally unfounded however, with cross country delivery in one working day for the best price I could find in the UK. I have since bought a spotter and tripod from the company, again cheaper than elsewhere, and again with super delivery via DPD. You know exactly when the package will arrive. No issues at all. Dad extremely pleased with all items.

This place is like a sweet shop to a fat kid. And I'm the fatty here! For the average camera geek... this place is well stock full of lighting and lens goodies to render you broke in 1 hour flat!

The first time I came here was to take one of the studio lighting workshops. I've been taking courses since I upgraded my dslr.. and sadly most turn out to be amateur, but this one was pro. I finally learn something new! I found out how much I need to learn about studio lighting. Eeks!

But during the 10 minute breaks we had here and there... others ran to the loo... I glazed my eyes on all the lenses... camera bodies... tripods... bag... lights... everything.

Great place but I think more aimed at the professional photographer.

I am really impressed on my first visit here. helpful knowledgeable staff and a good selection of cameras and lens available for all types of photographers whatever the experience. The camera I wanted also comes with a course of lessons with 20% off too.

The store is quiet small but they sell a range of cameras, and accessories that are associated with photography. Very friendly and helpful staff - they're always happy to let you play with any equipment before you buy. The staff know their stuff which really helps so if you want to buy a camera but not sure which to go for. They are very helpful in explaining the different functions on the cameras in plain English.

This place is 5 stars in my book NOT because they are cheap, but because they have everything I ever needed. I have on more than a few occasions been guided away from a product I "wanted" and directed me to a product I "needed". In every case the sales assistant was right and I ended up with a great product. Also...after a lot of comparison shopping, they are always either cheaper or equal.

The store manager was extremely helpful with some returns I needed to take care of.

I really appreciate the time the staff took with me with all the new lenses we were investing in.

What an incredible emporium of well-stocked photographic gear and accessories at tremendously reasonable prices! They open early and close late enough for anyone looking to go before or after work and the staff members are very helpful if you ever need help with anything.

Its easy to purchase stuff online. They have a great customer service and return policy so any problems should be meet and taken care of quickly and easily.

Everyone was extremely professional and customer service oriented. I'm very happy with my purchase and experience here. If I ever have photography needs in the future, Microglobe will be my first stop!

I bought Benro C4770TN Combination Series Tripod having seen it £20 dearer at the High Street stores.

A very well engineered product,that will look good alongside any pro tripod.it does not have spiked feet as described but was supplied with an extra quick release plate as a bonus.

Microglobe were a pleasure to deal with and was very helpful with a finance query. Delivery was very fast, what a pleasure to deal with a company that cares. WELL DONE.
