Messed About From Start To Finish.

Sent items to MPB to be sold. It was a mess from beginning to end.

The promised collection date for my items was given to me. I waited at home for an entire day. The driver never appeared. He was late by a day, at which time I was at work. Disgraceful.

Then when I sent the items, I was told it would be 6/7 days for them to be processed. The 6/7 days came and went with no word from MPB. I emailed them numerous times without reply. They just ignored me until they sent a mail saying they were busy and that my items would basically be checked when they were good and ready.

So I rang them and was hung up on, twice!!!! I used their chat service and was just given generated responses. No apology or explanation offered.

Disgraceful business that should be ashamed of its working practices.

Avoid dealing with them. Avoid them like that plague.

Hasnt Given Me A Refund For Over £1000

So many issues with mpb, have happened over 5 weeks ago. Lens not delivered and wrong lens sent. Sent the incorrect lens back and have heard nothing but excuses to get my money back which is over £1000. Alot of money especially at christmas time. I have emailed over 30 times without a response. Been on live chat every day and noone responds. I get a email saying we will resolve this by 5pm and what a surprise nothing. I have now had to report this to the police and trading standards. Also opened a dispute with my bank. Its absolutely disgusting and the customer service is appauling. How do these people sleep at night!!!! Not something I want to be dealing with at Christmas time. I am now writing all over social media to try and get a response. A robbing company! DO NOT USE

I Used To Buy But Dont Trust Any More! Dont Pay Me Last Tran

In the last commercial transaction with mpb, a payment of £ 36 due to credit for exchanging photographic equipment was due. so far, after several attempts at resolution and proposing reimbursement by voucher, instead of never successful bank transfer, I have not received a reply or resolution. I had no reason to complain but now, the assistance and the lack of payment have been regrettable, not for the amount in question but for the attitude, after three months ... Thank you for your attention and repairs.

After two more week:

I do not understand why MPB does not assign a credit voucher for the amount owed, continuing to not pay the outstanding amount of the commercial transaction. So it is difficult to trust your service, with the resolution pending for months, without justification or without a quick solution.

Simple, Easy And Honest Online Camera Retailer

I've bought and sold several items from MPB over the last couple of months and have always been 100% satisfied. I like to look after my gear so when I'm looking for a particular item I always wait for an item to described as 'As New' and Im never disappointed. I've bought from other camera shops and their described condition ratings are laughable.

Just received a Fuji 10-24 from MPB, superb service and again, as described. I can never see myself buying anywhere else in the future.

A Problem Solved

I purchased a camera and lens. After receipt I found a problem with the flash synch.

I contacted the person I dealt with who offered advice, a replacement or a refund. I am pleased to say the advice solved the problem, but the speed and ease with which an alternative was offered was brilliant.

The purchases are exactly as described in both specification and condition. What more could ask.

Dreadful Cust Service, Incorrect Product Supplied

I've just spent a few frustrating hours with MPB. I ordered in good faith a 400mm f2.8L IS lens. What arrived was an old, dusty, dirty, specs and bits in the case NON IS lens with missing hood, a joke. To be greated with thats what I ordered rubbed salt in the wounds. The advert was clearly wrong and rather than smooth the situation and provide great customer service they said I can have an IS version but i'll have to pay another 1800 pounds!!! for their error!!! I asked them to take it on the chin, give me a huge discount and win me over and take even more money but they declined. I want a 1DX also, they lost that sale too. My advice is dont use them, be careful what you order and when it comes good luck as the lens that arrived was awful. Even if i'd ordered it I'd have sent it back. To be told i'd get a refund!!! Damn right i will get a refund, but where is the customer service??? A short sighted company, a few hundred quid off and theyd have had 4000. Someone else will get that now thankfully. Avoid is my advice.

Sadly Lacking In A Lot Of Important Areas.

I have used MPB on many occasions and I must say its very much a lottery with the service and quality of equipment you can expect. If you contact them by e.mail you can pretty much guarantee you wont get a response and will have to ring them to place an order or to describe an item you want to sell. I have received wrong items, damaged items, extremely dirty cameras, important items such as chargers and batteries not included when shipped even though they were described in the item listing. Every item I have ever purchased from MPB has been described as ex ++ or mint but this is seldom reflected in the quality of the goods you receive..... even though they charge absolute top dollar for everything they sell, even to the extent of charging more than the cost of a new example of the same item. In the past when I have had communications with the CEO there has been little empathy with my complaints and he remains totally convinced they all members of staff do their utmost and this is a totally professional company. Not in my experience anyway. Avoid!

If Selling Beware

I have used MPB on two occasions for purchases, and have had excellent service.

Recently I decided to sell two of my DSLRs and knowing that MPB go out of their way to state how easy it is to sell to them, I decide to give them a try.

The initial filling in the form on line was easy gave them all the information or so I thought, Brand, model, accessories, shutter count, condition.

Got a email with quote for my gear, decide it was decent enough allowing for their profit, and decided to proceed, sent an email back asking if the courier collected at weekends and how they wanted the

packages labeling.

The second email I received was of a different tone, telling me politely that the courier didn't collect on weekends, but that they would collect from any address in the week even from my place of work great well that's what I thought, then the tone changes saying I would have to furnish them with information about when and where I purchased the equipment, so now I'm thinking why didn't they ask this question on the online form, and why do I feel like a criminal all of a sudden, come to that why do they not supply us with that info when we buy from them?

I think I know the answer either they don't quote on gear purchased in other countries but why/ most second hand gear is out of guarantee or they will quote at a vastly reduced price.

Very shady in my opinion and smacks of sharp practice.

Are they buying cheap from people and selling High on the grounds it's a foreign

purchase? are they selling grey imports, we don't know.

Do yourself a favour and the next time you buy from these people ask where and when the used equipment was originally purchased and ask for proof.

MPB are not the only people that can play this game.
