Although my defective item was delivered to me surprisingly fast, and the anonymous sales agent(s) responded expeditiously to my emails, the returns department seemed to be preoccupied with other things. My refund was processed quickly when I filed a dispute with my credit card company.

Charged me twice for the same product... sent me two after 1 was sent to the wrong location. When I tried to return it they denied their fault in the matter. Helen (the customer service rep) started to avoid my calls and denied that she told me she cancelled the "2nd order" (which was really her sending me another product after she sent the first one to the wrong location - 3 hours away from where I live). Her supervisor Julie was equally hostile. I will never do business with them again.

The Sherwood receiver from a1 Components did not work upon receipt. We had to pay for shipping to get the receiver and to ship it back. We asked that A-1 refund shipping as well as the cost of the receiver. They did not. They said they tested it and we must have hooked it up wrong. There is not much to hooking up a receiver. We bought another receiver from Best Buy, hooked it up and it worked. I think A-1 should have refunded shipping on this obviously defective piece of equipment.
