Deceitful Sales Practices

Deceitful company and sales practices. They showed an item as being in stock and once i ordered and paid for it, I got an email stating that it wasn't actually in stock and that I'd have to wait a few months until it was in stock. No thanks! Shameful sales tactics pretending to have stock to trick people into having to wait much longer than expected. The refund best be within a few days!

The Worst Online It Company I Have Ever Dealt With. Avoid.

We placed our order, everything looked okay - but I wish I had seen the reviews on here first!

We had paid for next day delivery as the item was a birthday present.

The next day, we noticed we had an email asking us for proof of address - very odd for an online company! So much for 'next day delivery'!

We sent off our proof of address, only the NEXT day to get an email informing us that the item we had ordered was actually discontinued!

The sales rep, then offered us 'the closest alternative'. A more expensive laptop with worse specifications! Oh boy!

This company has no idea what stock is in - he told me that himself. So take caution with ordering. Or, don't order from them at all, you'll have far less hassle.

On top of all this, I was only given an apology once I had cancelled my order. Some customer service training is in order I feel.

I can only agree. I tried to contact them by phone but was endlessly put on hold. I've emailed them as well for advice but got no reply. Even thought they were the cheapest I've gone to someone else.

Cancelled Order After Accepting It - Terrbile

I placed an order with them on Thursday 7th April for next day delivery. Not only did it not ship on Thursday, but it didn't ship on Friday either. I called up Monday as I'd had for 2 days was a confirmation against my order on their web-site that the order had been ACCEPTED.

No one contacted me to say that there was a problem, nor did they change the status of the order on their site or ship the goods.

When I called they said that there had been a pricing error and that their T&Cs entitle them to breach their contract with you and cancel an order AFTER accepting it.

Poor customer service, lack of goodwill in dealing with the issue, lack of communications and goods, plus so far the order has still not been cancelled or refunded.

Very poor.

Appalling Customer Service

Ordered an item which they then sent to the wrong address - they admitted it was a "system error" - took 4 weeks for the item to turn up after dispatch, and even then it was addressed incorrectly for a second time (luckily the courier recognised the error). Proceeded to request a return as the item turned up too late and had to order alternative in the meantime... was spoken to rudely and dismissively via email and basically told we would have to pay for return postage ourselves. Have had to deal with half a dozen different individuals at this company throughout this debacle - not one of them has apologised even. All you get is arguments as to why they are not to blame. Avoid if you can!

Business Firm - Not For Consumers

Insight are a fantastic company deal with as a business. They do not advertise themselves as an Ebuyer or Dabs.com as they do go after the Consumer market.

Most negative reviews here are from Consumers, but Insight are not aimed at them. They allow orders from Consumers, but with strict ID checks (quite rightly).

Their main focus is Businesses and Public Sector, which I deal with them from and find them to be professional and quick at all times. Our account manager is excellent with quick responses and always informs us when there are stock issues or anything like that (which happens everywhere).

I would recommend them to any other business. If you are a consumer, try Amazon or Ebuyer.

Rubbish

Advertised stock levels on their site are nonsense so when my product hadn't been delivered in the time displayed in the P&P I cancelled my order. The delay turning out to be them getting it from the supplier. A month later and I'm still waiting on a refund. Don't buy from these monkeys they haven't got a clue what they're doing.

Despite items in stock, 50% of the order was delivered after two weeks with the remaining 50% having gone missing. Was told to re-order the missing items but no way will I ever deal with this outfit again.

laptop faulty straight from the box and now dealing with the returns policy which is to send the item back to Colchester and wait which is such an inconvenience.

Insight seem to push account managers onto you for repeat purchases, but all they do is lie to you or give excuse after excuse if something goes wrong. Terrible, terrible. Better to shop at Argos or PC World!

Don't Believe A Word On Stock Levels

Decent website - quotes stock levels in the thousands. Place order and then you wait for them to source it!

I am very disappointed and to add insult to injury when you ask if you can cancel and go elsewhere they stop communicating with you leaving you in a position on having to risk spending twice.

Better companies to deal with, avoid.

Ordered item paid with card. Waited for the order and then received e mail wanting 2 forms of ID. Seemed like a scam so cancelled the order and 5 days later my money is not returned. This firm is not up to internet shopping, wish I had read the reviews. Also every time I ring I am too late they have all gone home. They send the emails and does not give money back BUYERS BEWARE !!!!!!!!!! If you shop here you will be sorry just like me, 1 star cos I had to

Not Fit For Purpose

I bought a printer which they advertised as being suitable for my specific needs. Upon receipt it transpired they had mis-sold it, so I contacted their rep. She told me that even though their website showed it was compatible, it was my responsibiilty to check whether or not it actually was. As they have failed in their duty to provide clear product descriptions, provided an item not fit for purpose, and failed to even offer an apology for their incompetence, I have found an alternative supplier and complained to Trading Standards.
