Terrible Company

Don't believe a word this company says e.g. in stock, yes it will be delivered tomorrow etc. On delivery day, I was told that the item was on back order with no known delivery date. Given there's quite a few decent companies, I honestly cannot fathom why this company is in business. Awful. When they go bust (again), let's hope they don't try to resurrect it again.

Timewasters - Avoid

Bought a Tier 1 - 100% refurb laptop 25 Jan 2015 from Misco.

Received 2 days later.

Wifi didn't work

Lid didn't engage in the catch

Bottom plate fell off

I returned it for a REFUND (they had no similar replacement)

They sent it back to me a week later!! Had to be the same one as they had no similar when I called them to return it.

I complained to customer service again.

They said send it back again for a refund (it's obviously in the script). I protested that it was their balls up so why must I wait for the refund. Intransigence prevailed and there would be no refund until they got it back AGAIN! I asked for a supervisor to come to the phone after 2 occasions the rep had put me on hold for 10 minutes to consult his oracle. Nobody else would talk to me!

For the second return - they sent the parcel force guy to the wrong address. 200 yards away! Fortunately he remembered my name from the previous visit and came round!

You could not make this up. Meanwhile I must pay for it (credit card due today).

I already bought elsewhere after the first duffer was returned. Couldn't trust Misco after sending me a rubbish laptop. So much for it being checked. I wonder - do they use chimps for tier 1 refurbs’?

Refund eventually received on my card 13th February. Some 15 days after they received the defective returned laptop.

If You Want Your Order Fulfilled, Go Somewhere Else!

Placed an order, received an email confirming the order, much later received another email saying my items were out of stock, checked and the item was still in stock and being sold on website, contacted Misco and was told that a manager would be in touch. Waited eight days and despite emailing them a hald dozen times, did not receive any response at all... Dishonest company with terrible customer service... avoid!

A Pain When Things Go Wrong

A pain when things go wrong. I refused delivery of an item. Then kept waiting considerable time for a refund. No way of contacting someone in UK, call centre is in Hungary. I would not recomend, I will never use Misco again. At this time I am still trying to get my money back. Paypal dispute opened.

Horrid Experience

I'm a very patient person and am normally really understanding of problems - hey, we're all human!

However Misco seem to forget that they are serving their customers, and seem to think their customers should serve them.

I spend about 70 minutes trying to complete an order. The first time it was declined due to "Invalid Billing Address". I checked it three times and even asked my partner to check. Plus I phoned my bank to make sure I hadn't forgot to update it a while back.

After that was all resolved (a glitch on their system), I replaced the order.

I was then contacted the next day (despite it being a next day delivery) and was asked to provide either a driving licence or passport to them by email so they can confirm my identity - all because I wanted it shipped to my work address instead of billing address.

I've never left a review for anything bad before, but my experience with this took bad service to a whole new level.

The plus side is I cancelled my order (who wants to send a passport copy over non-encrypted email?) and found it cheaper elsewhere.

Poor Communication, Premium Rate Customer Service Number

I wanted to buy a dashboard camera, but after trying Amazon who were quoting a month delay, a search online found Misco. So I placed the order which quoted the delivery date, saying they'd confirm within 24 hours if the item was out of stock. The final delivery date came and went so I contacted them via an 0808 number which will probably cost me some pounds, only to be told that the item wasn't going to be despatch for another 2 weeks! Why on earth they couldn't be bothered to tell their customer is beyond me! Needless to say I cancelled the order and will never use them again! Shame!

Do Not Use This Company !!!!!!!

I ordered this product on Tuesday 3rd Feb and paid for next day delivery. I took the next day off work and after making several calls to Customer Services (who assured me the item was on it's way) I was finally told there was a problem with the payment and that delivery would be the next day - 5th February.

I took this day off work as well and called to check that the item would definitely arrive. I was told that the item was with TNT and would be delivered that day. After making lots more calls to customer services to check on the progress I was told that there was a technical problem at TNT and the item would not be delivered that day, but would be delivered on 6th February - so another day I had to take off from work.

I was promised that I would get a call first thing this morning to let me know the status, but nobody called so yet again I had to call them.

I was told that the item was now with Sameday couriers but they had no tracking number, but that it would definitely be with me by noon.

You can understand how I was a bit sceptical so I called Sameday who told me that they had no delivery for my address.

I called customer service back who checked and told me there had been yet another mistake and the courier wasn't Sameday but was someone else, although she didn't know who it was !

She is now supposed to be checking who the courier is and calling me back but I have no confidence at all that this item is on it's way to me.

All I have had is misinformation for 3 days and I am very unhappy with the service or total lack of service.

I have taken 3 days off work and made at least 20 calls to their customer service department and feel I am no closer to receiving my item.

Please don't make the same mistake as me - avoid at all costs

Absolute Disgrace

Ordered LG TV. Next day they emailed to say I had to supply copy of ID for “security reasons”…new one on me.

I was then emailed to say TV order had been released to me.

4 days later they emailed to say, and I quote I would like to inform you that your order has been cancelled due to a pricing error. If you would like to place a new order for an alternative product please do not hesitate to contact our Salesdesk

No apology, no offer of perhaps a small discount to compensate for their mistake and no mention of what their error was, ie what your price should have been.

3 DAYS latter Misco are still advertising this TV for the price they refused to sell to me for due to pricing error…. DISSGRACEFUL.

No reply to my letter of complaint after 3 days btw......great customer service....NOT!

There should be a law against this company being aloud to get away with this practice. Only wish that I had read all the negative reviews about this company before I ordered.

It's Difficult To Write A Review Without Going Int

it's difficult to write a review without going into a bit of detail so my comments in a nutshell (continue to read down the page if you want the gory bits):

There's something seriously wrong with a company that offers premium-rate delivery services with timescales that its own despatch department can't actually meet. Add to that the advertising of non-existent premium-rate services for which Misco will quite happily take your cash, you have an outfit ripe to become the inspiration for the next smash-hit TV sitcom.

The website said "order by 6:00 pm for delivery tomorrow" - so far, so good. It was Thursday, and Friday would not have been a good delivery day, so I paid even more of a premium for Saturday delivery. The initial response was to acknowledge my 'non-binding order request' while stock levels and correctness of pricing were checked!

24 hours later, my order was accepted and would be despatched the following Tuesday for the premium rate Saturday delivery charge. The carrier would be City Link, a company that had gone into Liquidation and ceased trading about three weeks earlier!

So - I had paid the highest-priced premium delivery rate in return for an unwanted artificially-extended delivery service, but there's more.......

.......E-mails produced no response so I decided to cancel the order, and telephoned the company.

In the course of the conversation I was told that Misco doesn't have a courier that can deliver on Saturday anyway (presumably since the demise of City Link).

So - I had paid the highest-priced premium delivery rate in return for an unwanted artificially-extended delivery service that couldn't actually be provided......

........comical verging on farcical!

Cancelled My Order!

I had spent weeks researching technical details for a new printer for my business. I found the perfect model and it was in stock on the MISCO website. The online system showed the order and that it should be delivered in 2-3 working days. Over a week later I received an email from Misco to say my order had been cancelled as the item was out of stock.

I have come to expect this behaviour from PC-World, they have done this same thing to me at least 3 times, but now Misco as just as bad.

I'll stick with Dabs, never had a problem with them and everything is generally next day delivery.
