Pleasing Imac

Bought an iMac from Portable Universe after speaking on phone and checking some details re advert and spec. Came promptly was well packaged in original Apple boxes and has been great so far. Looks and operates as new.

this is the first time I have ever bothered writing a review but feel compelled to do so to counter the very bad reviews I have seen so far. all I can say is that the service was perfect and the product excellent and good Value for money.

Ipad 3 64g 3g Retina Display

Bought this on Groupon only 2 days ago and it arrived today! So far so good. It hasn't a mark on it and seems to be working fine. It will only chare to 90% and I ordered black and was sent silver, but that's fine. I am so far impressed and at £177 with free delivery I'm not complaining. It has the latest update on and came in an unbranded box with a separate charger. It was at 93% when I turned it on and now at 90%. I will look into the charging issue as this is an apple iPad 3 common fault.

Buyer Beware

Bought a Mac through these guys, had to retun it under warranty. They wouldn't honour the warranty and now having to go the legal route.

Not Sure Which Company Some Others Are Reviewing?

I have purchased 3 Macs from Portable Universe and have recommended them to several friends. All my machines have been exactly as described (or slightly better than described) and some of the friends to whom I recommended PU have passed on their recommendations to others.

A few months ago I was considering the purchase of a 27" iMac, unfortunately I hesitated too long and the unit I was considering went before I got to it. I rang PU and got a lot of useful and friendly advice and help, which led to a purchase a few hours later.

If I do buy a lemon from PU I will return it and trust that I will receive the same level of service as I have done in the past, if not I'll be sure to let you know

Apple Macbook

After receiving this today the only issue I had was that safari kept crashing when trying to get in hotmail/YouTube but I contacted these guys and got a call back from an agent who guided me in what to do and sent me a email on how to get round this and I now can run any application on my laptop, if you call to complain be polite and respect that these guys are here to help you, thank you for my computer guys, I have now purchased a second apple MacBook and will wait it's delivery I'm that impressed with it I bought one for the wife, so guys I recommend buying one of these while you can and any issues call the company who are more than happy to help with your situation.

Faulty Item And Poor Service

I purchased a MacBook from Portable Universe via Wowcher, the item worked ok for a couple of months but then stopped working altogether. Clearly it was faulty. At cost to myself I sent the item back for repair or replacement under the stated 1 year warranty. After an issue over my address was resolved I finally received a package which may or may not have been the same laptop but with the same problem and with no explanation or note as to what had been returned to me. I have tried to contact portable universe since then and had no response so I am left with a faulty item and I have lost everything that was saved on the laptop I originally purchased. I am planning on reporting the matter to Trading Standards and going to small claims court if necessary.

My advice is don't risk purchasing from Portsble Universd go to a company you can trust and be confident you will get what you paid for.

Bought A Wowcher For A Macbook Which Portable Univ

Bought a Wowcher for a MacBook which Portable Universe is the supplier. Item was not as advertised, so I returned it within 28 days, postage paid and proper packaging. I took before sending pictures for own peace of mind. Package was returned to me 2 days later, with A4 piece of on it was written "MacBook is damaged, no refund given" with no name or any further info. Just that I had apparently returned it damaged. I told them of the pics I took before I returned it, they said it might have been in transit so it's my problem. I asked for pics of the damaged packaging it supposedly got damaged in, and got no pics but only that they didn't have it anymore or the guy who dealt with it is not in but he will call me back.

The item was signed by them from transit company and the package wasn't reported damaged then. So where and when did this damage occur?

Items are either being damaged on receipt back to negate the refund policy, and thus keep your cash.

They take your money and provide a piece of kit that's completely useless - it can't be upgraded and doesn't run most programs.

None of the serious limitations to use were highlighted in the sales details - this loathesome company is simply ripping people off.

Thanks for spoiling our Chrustmas.
