Very Pleased With Purchase

Despite the negative reviews, I elected to give Battery Masters a chance and I am glad I did so. I purchased an UltraMax L122-12USB 36 hole battery, charged it in accordance with instructions and I have just completed 36 holes ( over two fairly hilly golf courses ) with no problems whatsoever - there is charge left, but I will boost it before heading out on my next outing. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and the service provided ????????????

Poor Service.

Approx 3 months ago I bought a new battery for my small motorcycle. The first battery was received very promptly, but was no use. On contacting the company, another battery was received, and was found to be good. however, after 3 months this battery failed. I contacted the company, and they advised me to charge the battery! I tried again & failed again. Contacted the company again. No reply! Avoid!

Buyers Beware ! Batterymasters Advertise Batteries

Buyers beware !

BatteryMasters advertise batteries (in my case a Yuasa 156)

That they do not have. They took immediate payment via Blink. After no goods had arrived, no email confirmed dispatch nor any phone call or email was received from them, I tracked down a person and was promised an immediate refund.

Unfortunately nothing has been refunded four days after I had paid for a battery that clearly should never have been listed for sale in the first place. The item is still advertised in their online shop, as are probably many other batteries that they know they do not have in stock. It's shocking.

Avoid At All Costs

Ordered Duracell Ultra. They sent Duracell Plus. When I asked them to arrange a return and send the correct item, they said it was out of stock and they had sent a battery of the same type and size instead.

I pointed out it was an inferior battery and not suitable for the purpose I'm using it for. They have ignored my follow up emails.

So, if you're happy to play for something specific but accept any lower quality cheaper alternative, you'll be fine.

Go somewhere else and pay a little more. It's not worth the hassle or risk shopping with them.

Pretty poor a company thinks it can send you anything as a replacement without asking first.

I can be stubborn with things like this and was very close to raising a Simple Procedure to get my money back through the court here. It would've ended up costing them the court fees but it wasn't worth the hassle for me. Lesson learnt about these sharks.

Yes. They did exactly the same to me with larger mobility batteries. Awful company with utter contempt for their customers. Avoid.

Battery Not Fit For Purpose

Ordered Ultramax battery for my Powakaddy as description specifically mentioned it was suitable for such use. In fairness battery arrived quickly and well packaged but after only a dozen rounds started to lose power and was incapable of completing 18 holes. Contacted company and after a load of excuses from them asked for it to be returned and thereafter agreed to send replacement which again arrived promptly. After only 6/7 rounds exactly the same issue presented and battery failed after 14 holes last time used. Contacted company and nothing heard on first contact. After several follow up emails an email asking that I check charger performance which I had already done on first occasion which they were aware of. Responded to this effect and since then have been unable to get any response from company. On this basis I would recommend people do not use this company for anything as customer service is appalling and there are plenty other companies providing the same products - it is just not worth the risk.

Poor Service

Several trading names. Batterymaster, Baruch, they even have to ask which website was used.

Any problems will cost you dearly on their premium rate phone line. Pay extra, go elsewhere and get better service. It will cost you less.

They sent the wrong battery: the terminals didn't fit. Their website didn't show the one I ordered as out of stock. They ignored my emails, and after several days I had to phone them. They apologised offered an alternative, arranged for collection and new delivery. The collection was as agreed, but no delivery. My emails were either ignored or they supplied the wrong tracking number. Another phone call, where they made excuses that it was the warehouse, and will be with me in 24hrs (but that is what they said 3 days ago).

To their credit it did turn up in time, but the whole process took 10 days rather than 2, wasted my time, and I had to pay extra for the calls. (£4+/call)

Do not use. If (when) there is a problem you will pay for it. This is how they make their money - any problem means profit for them.

Battermaster.co.uk Ultramax Baruch Enterprises Awful Service

Batterymaster.co.uk - Part of Baruch Enterprises LTD.

You should believe the other bad reviews. They match my experience.

I have never had such appalling treatment in my 20 years of buying online.

Note:If you have to contact them by phone they only offer a premium rate 0871 number.

What happened?:

I made a simple order from the website for 2 Ultramax batteries. They sent me 2 lower rated Ultramax batteries that they sold at a cheaper price at that time. I noticed immediately and complained. The email reply came tell me that they were out of stock of the more powerful Ultramax model that I had ordered and that the lower rated Ultramax batteries were the same size and should work. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. They continued to offer the battery I had ordered for sale on the website despite telling me they had none. That was the only reply I got.

I ordered a more powerful Ultramax model and they sent a lesser Ultramax product deliberately and without consultation. No offer to correct the problem. They did not reply to further emails so I had to involve Paypal disputes. It took a month to get my money back. They did not offer to collect the incorrect product so I had to arrange return shipment which Paypal kindly funded.

Oh yes. I forgot to mention that one of the Ultramax batteries that I did not order, but which they sent instead, had been used. It was not new and showed clear marks on the case and terminals where it had been mounted and attached (I have photos). It was also dusty, unlike the other one. Amazing!

Loads of hassle. No Service.

There are a host of companies that offer better service. In fact any company offers better service.

In the end ordered Lucas equivalents from a competitor (with a Female name) in the end with an excellent trustpilot rating. The price was the same, I got what I wanted the next day.

My lesson. Always read the reviews on an independent site.

Ignores Emails And Does Not Supply Shipping Information

I had to send repeated emails over several weeks asking if it had been shipped (to a Greek Island) and what the tracking number was. This was important as it was being sent to a holiday home and needed to make sure I was still there to receive it.

They only replied after I contacted Paypal. No apology - just telling me it had been shipped.

The battery had arrived by then.

If you expect tracking data or even to have your emails answered go elsewhere.
