The item I bought was advertised as new. It is not ! It is has been sold before and is refurbished. IT IS SECOND HAND. USED !
Google confirmed that the Google Thermostat E which I bought had previously been registered with them nearly 3 years ago and the 24 month warranty expired 9 months prior to me purchasing it.
When the Google Thermostat E arrived it simply did not work. I emailed the seller BT Shop immediately and they just passed me off to the manufacturer, Google.
Google were friendly and helpful but a little confused as they confirmed that this was not a new product. In fact it was so old that the 2 year warranty had expired 9 months before I bought it.
Shame on you BT Shop for selling used goods and advertising them as new.

Sent Wrong Item - Refused To Refund!!!
Worst experience I have ever had with an online shop. I ordered a new copy of Super Mario Odyssey, and instead received a used/open copy of Mario and Rabbids Kingdom battle. Imagine my surprise! It only got worse when BT Shop refused to issue a refund - accusing me of lying about the item!! I have never been so annoyed and offended. I am now out £40 and stuck with a worthless item that they refuse to take back. What am I supposed to do???
I wish I had searched this before I placed my order they are doing the same thing to me delivered some air pods when I was at work and said I signed for them produced my tracking information and they advised that it could have been someone else driving my car so accusing me of defrauding my company and the hmrc and have refused to refund my money or send me new headphones so I’m now £140 out of pocket with no item surely they can’t be allowed to do this as we have rights as consumers. They shouldn’t be trading

Product great, people nice, service absolutely atrocious. Took one week to 'process' the order, during this period I had to keep calling to find out when I would get a delivery date. Then at 11pm on the evening before the delivery I got a text from UK mail to tell me that the delivery was the next morning! I managed to get the day off to receive the TV, saw the van drive by my house without stopping then to my astonishment got a text saying they'd tried to deliver and had left a calling car through my door - which of course they hadn't! Tried to get hold of UK mail to get the delivery diverted back only to find that it was impossible to make any human to human contact with them - cheap delivery cheap service. This also happened on the second delivery so I would never use UK mail unless you can take time off work with 12-24 hours notice.
I paid more to buy off BT as I thought this would be a safer bet, however, I could not recommend them to anyone, a terrible buying experience.

Shoddy Customer Care
I registered on their website after seeing a canon lens which I wanted. I purchased the camera lens via their website and received an email next asking me to call confirming details. I duly did so and heard no more for a few days. I called again but was told to call the sales team the following day. Again I complied to be told the lens was out of stock and would be dispatched to me at the end of the week when it was expected back in stock. I received an email later that day telling me the lens was wrongly priced and my order was cancelled. Not only did they not honour the advertised priced but they lied to me and gave me the run around. I would not recommend any body to have can't dealings with the BT shop after my shoddy treatment. Shame on a once trusted name.

The website said the product was in stock. Yet, when I checked on status 8 days later, it was "awaiting from supplier". No notification of this, and I only ordered as they had stock. Seems from other reviews, I'm not the only one.

I recently purchased a printer from BT Shop. Nothing wrong with the item, however within my legal rights, I changed my mind and wanted to return the unopened printer (within 14 days). I arranged online for a return and a collection was promised. That was on November 18. The collection never took place. I complained by email twice, was told I would get a reply in both cases within 16 hours - never got a reply. I was then invited to review my purchase on another site. I subsequently received a response from BT support saying that a collection would be made on Tuesday Nov 29 by parcel force. I waited in that day and the next but no one came. I still have the printer and now outside 14 days. I have made further complaints and had no replies.
I now intend to approach ombudsman for breach of distance trading standards.
I can only advise people to stay away from this trader, I would have happy paid a few extra pounds to receive a decent service.

Avoid Bt Shop. Buy From A Reputable Retailer
Bought laptop. Found to be a faulty screen on powering up. Told by bt to contact manufacturer even though bt were the seller. Sent back to bt for refund but returned back by bt without notice stating that fault was down to customer as the box it came in was not damaged! Advised by credit card company to raise a dispute as bt would not help and customer care is non existent. Avoid,avoid,avoid. They have become too big and forgotten the customer.
Not Worth The One Star
I ordered a laptop but was instead delivered a dvd recorder. It took numerous amount of calls to find out whether they still had my product in stock. It took two days for them to get this information, would most likely have taken longer had I not called. However, what I am most dissatisfied with was the fact that they would not send me the laptop I had ordered until they had received the dvd recorder (Their mistake) first!?! They are essentially holding my laptop ransom for their mistake. I accept that mistakes happen, but surely the very least they could do is to deliver my laptop and have the same courier pick up the dvd recorder I didn't order. Instead I have to wait for them to process their incompetence as my money sits in their banks.

Terrible Service And Business Attitude
Ordered a home cam at New Year (with BT Shop) and 6 weeks later still waiting! Item arrived was faulty, so had to return it. Replacement arrived 2 weeks later ( unacceptable as I had done nothing wrong), this was also faulty, so had to go through all the rigmarole of returning again, 3 weeks later nothing! I called today and they had mistakenly done a refund instead of a replacement! I asked if there was someone I could speak to as I believe this is bad business practice, but there is no one to complain to instead you have to write an email! This gives me the impression that complaints and improving the service are not welcomed. This is backed up by the poor attitude of all the staff I have spoken to, who read the lines from the 'book' . Both times staff said that the replacement would come as quick as possible and also said it would take 2 weeks - a contradiction. I pointed this out but the set lines were just repeated . I don't blame the staff as they are just following orders .
