I was hesitant about using these guys from the number of negative reviews there are on the web. But as there was an 'only for this weekend' offer on and the item was £25% cheaper than i could find it elsewhere, i though why not, i'm covered by my credit card if the worst happens

I ordered the item (Sony Bluray player) on Sunday, got an immediate email confirming receipt of the order, then a further email on Monday saying the order was processed.

On Tuesday i gave them a call (maybe my nervousness got to me) to check when the player would be despatched and i was informed it had been despatched and would be with me on Wednesday. The customers services chap was very helpful and professional. On Wednesday it arrived as promised.

I would not normal write reviews but given the excellent speedy service and great price, I thought these chaps deserved a pat on the back

DO not buy from digital empire online cowboy company rude staff quick to take your money but after that you won't hear from them

Should have minus ratings. Unusal thing happened with me like all the above. Waited 2 & half months for refund. Consumer Direct web pages re. Sale of Goods Act 1979 are excellent and I used one of their template letters and sent it registered post. Got refund back to credir card in 3 days.

Camera parcel delivery was minus essential battery...Took money immediately, so no time to cancel credit card payment...When complaining they provoke an argument so they can drop the phone on you...They blame everyone else, even you for the missing parts...They make false promises to stall for time,or even hoping you will go away with stress....I had to finally use the facility of Barclaycard to refund my losses...Real cowboys that should be shot off of their horses.

Do not buy from this company. Read the reviews. I ordered a TV online and paid by credit card. The money was taken immediately and the website promised delivery within 6 days. After hearing nothing I phoned up and was told it was out of stock and would be in the following week. Still nothing and after phoning was told it was discontinued but they would upgrade and send me a newer model for the same price. Still nothing after a month I tried phoning again and just kept getting a recorded message to phone between 8.30 and 5pm. Could not contact them and eventually had to get my money back off Mastercard which luckily I had paid with. Don't know how they've got away with this for so long.

Firstly I wouldn't rate this company at all! But you have too!

Please do not use this company. I feel very naive, but trusted this company to deliver a good priced item on time. Although they deduct the money from your account immediately there is no sign of the item I purchased. I call the number on their website (just tried it again at 3:15pm) and its an automated message saying call back between the hours of 9:30am and 5:30pm. I'm still waiting to find out where my purchase is. If only I'd have heard about this site I wouldn't have touched them with a barge poll.

Take heed of this warning, do not order from this site I ordered a dryer that they stated was in stock and they took my money immediately, after two weeks and me constantly calling them they admitted they did not have stock and could not supply the product. Now the fun begins:they cancelled my order viua e-mail but never refunded the money, i have made over a dozen phone calls to them and they keep ststing that the money has left their account and should be back in mine, guess what? they lied. Five weeks later i still do not have my refund.

I have now reported them to the Credit Card company to see if they will reimburse me instead. You have been warned!

My only hope is that you are reading this before placing an order.If this is so then DON'T.

Placed order in September 09, item not delivered, emails ignored. Phoned up to be told "item due in next week". Two weeks later same story.This went on for 15 weeks! Cancelled order and told "refund in a few days". Two weeks later no refund and told "refund in a few days".After 2 weeks contacted Credit Card Company and 5 months after placing order now have my money back.

In 13 years of internet shopping this was my first negative experience.

My stupidity was not finding these reviews first

I would never recommend this website, I was told I would be refunded and now 3 weeks later still waiting. It says on the website you will be refunded within 14days! I have emailed and called twice but still no sign.
