Three months after two pieces of granite were installed to our worktops, one around the kitchen sink and one adjoining. We contacted Mayfair to ask them to send a fitter round regarding an issue we had with the granite. The bar in front of the granite is not parallel and is wider at one end than the other. After repeated phone calls they sent the actual person who templated and fitted the granite. Within seconds of looking at the problem he stated that the granite did not match his template. He actually had a picture on his phone of the original template which showed the bar being 100 mm horizontally across the front of the sink. The bar on our sink measured 104 mm left and 108 mm right.

We measured the granite again carefully and realised that the left hand side and bottom edges of the granite were not at right angles i.e. 90o. We informed Mayfair of this but they argued that we had signed the template off, thus agreeing that it was correct but unbeknown to us they admitted later in an email that they had changed the template dimensions and had increased the width of the bar because Emerald Green Pearl was a weaker granite, thus breaking our contract. They also stated that the sink cut was started in the centre of the lower edge this was to reduce the difference between 4 and 8 which was outside their tolerances and to bring it inside their tolerances of 3 mm. Later in an email they said that the problem was due to movement of the CNC machine but was still within their tolerances of 3 mm.

We believe the problem relates to the fact that no one recognised that the left hand side of the granite and the bottom of the granite under the sink were not at 90o. In fact the granite below the sink runs out by 1 mm every 100 mm for the length of the granite which is a metre long beneath the sink. Obviously we are not happy with this and they have not fulfilled their contract. I firmly believe this problem was spotted after the granite was cut but was allowed to go ahead and be fitted and I believe the fitters who templated and fitted the granite also knew of the problem. After 9 months of communication I feel they are in denial and are not prepared to accept responsibility.

Brought a new Quartz Worktop from Mayfair Granite and have to say the sales were good! However beware of the wording!!.... I purchased just before Xmas 2015 and was very pleased in how quick they sorted things out, Templated and fitted before Xmas which was a really quick & Friendly service so we were very pleased with this and the Quartz Product looked great! 2 days on, I had washed up the night before and left the stainless steel baking trays to dry, on putting them away I found a horrible yellow stain all over the drain area of the worktop! I tried all sorts to remove this but to no avail, I contacted Mayfair and said what had happened but they said it must be rust oxidised! How is this I asked as its meant to be Stain PROOF?? They were very quick to state "We say it is Stain RESISTANT

not PROOF" so instantly revoked anything I was saying!!! I also came home with 3 bottles of Beer one slipped from my grasp and hit the edge of the Quartz Worktop and broke a 10mm Chip off!! Now this is a Natural product which is second in strength to Diamond! yet a small drop of 6 inches caused this Chip which again when I complained about this not being fit for purpose they revoked it as "because it is the edge" " It would not break if you hit it with a Hammer" " These things happen! now what is frustrating for me is the aftersales were so blasé They said I would have to wait 2 Months for any help as there bloke was unfortunately in Hospital and that they only have ONE BLOKE! I waited over a month and he came out and removed the yellow Stains and repaired the chip to the best of his ability "Which was good to be fair" and FREE I might add. When I asked what to use on the Stains in the future he said soap and water and left some with me! why I couldn't remove this I don't know but clearly I was rubbing wrong. not a bad company just the aftersales could be better. all in all This was an eye opener as Quartz is very Expensive and my advice is Quartz looks lovely and is better than Granite in lots of ways but DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE & WORDING as all these suppliers use this tactic! if in doubt stick with Granite as its been around a long time and everyone has seen the good and bad.

I had three quotes and did research, but decided on Mayfair Granite due to price mainly . I was a bit worried about using a company that wasn't local and that I didn't know but their reviews were great and they told me everything I wanted to hear about how they template and fit. I'm not disappointed , they've done a top job and we're really pleased with the result. Would recommend them to anyone

Did lots of research before deciding to buy from Mayfair Granite. Actually went to their factory in Bradford where you can see the granite in large slabs - gives you more idea of what you are buying. The staff were very helpful and professional. The price was also competitive and the fitting was superb. Would definitely recommend.

I had my kitchen worktops and counter done by mayfair granite . I found the company very helpful, and the fitters very polite and proffessional . Very pleased , would recommend this company . Many thanks all.

My Brother had used Mayfair granite on some of his projects. I saw the work tops and When he told me the price I had no hesitation but to contact them for my own. I sent a plan via email and was contacted to double check all measurements were correct. A date was given for completion and delivery. The worktops, communication and delivery were exceptional in every way. Cut and polished to a very high standard. There were many cuts and up stands in my kitchen and they fitted like a glove and look fantastic. If you want granite or quartz worktops I recommend Mayfair 100%.

Excellent service from the inital template to the final installation. My new black starlight worktops look amazing would defintly recommend Mayfair Granite to anyone looking for worktops.

Very pleased with the granite worktops installed by Mayfair Granite they look absolute stunning. With so many granite company to choose from I am glad I went with them in the end. They made the entire process from templating to fitting very easy and always turned up on time, I wish I could say the same about my builders.
