Poor Customer Service And Relationship
I purchased a 2500.00 mattress from the glen Burnie store that has sunken in the middle a year later. Manager ask for pictures for no apparent reason. After sending pictures I was told that they would not consider my complaint because I purchased this mattress on sale. Wondering why they ask for pictures if she already had her mind made up. Even called me just to say that she could not tell anything from the pictures. Never purchased at this store if you want good customer service to your concerns.

In July 2015 we purchased a Spencer 3 seater settee and chair. We had only had it 10 months when all the colour started coming off the leather on the chair back. Someone came out and recoloured it. Less than 6 months later the colour had come out again so i reported it again as we had taken out extra cover. They flatly refused to come out and even look at it saying that it is wear and tear. After less than 18 months the settee is no good as it looks a mess. Also the padding in the seats has gone flat. I would never buy anything from this place again and wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

Purchased two sofas from sofa store Plymouth
Within a few months the cushions failed. So much so that you were leaning at an angle towards the middle of the settee. GVe us chronic back pain Lack of padding was in the back and arm cushions too. Complained. They sent out Homeserve who replaced the cushions .
Within three days the same problem occurred.
Called them again and asked for my money back. The woman at customer care refused and told us we would have to accept another repair. I refused , so she hung up on me.
Fortunately we paid by credit card so claimed under section 75 . Independent report given by an upholsterer. The goods were not fit for purpose , that is sitting on. The credit card company agreed they had breached their contract of sale. Full refund given. Went to another company and purchased a G Plan sofa. No more problems. Don't buy from sofa store if something goes wrong they will not help you. Shocking customer service avoid them

Specifically ordered a Sofa that was firm to sit on. Immediately clear that one of the sofa cushions was soft, the other firm. Someone came out to check the sofa and said there was no manufacturing fault so would not replace the cushion. The imbalance due to 'settling' supposedly. This is nothing to do with settling as the imbalance was clear from the start. I will not use OakFurnitureland again and advise others not to. Exceedingly poor customer service. I asked how much to buy a replacement cushion, wouldn't let me know the price. Goods bought from Broadstairs showroom.
i have the same problem, their saleswoman advised they would come out and re-pad it after settlement. they now say she is off work and i need to sort it out via insurance.

Quality Furniture At A Reasonable Price.
We were able to view at our leisure and the staff were on hand to answer any questions and concerns we had regarding delivery etc;
In hindsight the only slight problem we had was regarding the special offer price was supposed to be finishing soon pushing us into buying the sofa sooner than we would have ideally liked i.e. before we had disposed of our old furniture.
Six weeks later the special offer price is unchanged !!!
I understand that the sales people need the close a sale but it leaves me the customer feeling slightly tricked.
Also the extra charge for a quick delivery seems a bit excessive.
Why not deliver all furniture where possible soonest and steel a lead on the competition.
Having said all that we are pleased with our purchase.

I have purchased a sofa last month. When I viewed and tried the sofa in the display, i liked it. However the quality of the sofa delivered to me is very poor and nothing like the one I saw in the display in reference to the quality. I am very much disappointed with my purchase and I did not expect this to happen from a reputed company like Oak Furniture land.

We were left with a large amoumt of packaging on the front drive marked "do not destroy in case of fault and need to return". We had to self assemble and plug in and test ourselves, as your delivery team claimed they were instructed not to do this (Health and Safety?) We are elderly and found this stressfull. The required assembly and test were not completed until after your team had left.We then had the problem of clearing and disposal of the packaging.

Spencer 2 Seater Sofa
Purchased 2x 2 seater
Spencer sofas from Oakfurnitureland, they were delivered to me on 17th March 2016. Within a week the left side cushion on the sofa had flattened, contacted Oakfurnitureland and sent photo's. A Homeserve technician came and added more foam to the cushion,less than One week later it had flattened again. Contacted Oakfurnitureland yet again and they arranged a new cushion inner. Meanwhile I swopped the sofas around and no surprise the same thing happened with the other sofa, contacted them again and at present awaiting response. Today 05/07/16 the new inner was fitted to the original faulty cushion, and whilst it it slightly better, I fear it wont last long. Customer service is poor,
I feel fobbed off, but I will keep at them until they complexly rectify the problems to my satisfaction. Very unhappy with the sofa's, I did also purchase 2 coffee tables with I am delighted with. . I will never purchase another thing from them or recommend.

Very Grumpy Negative Delivery Man
I purchased both a three and two seater Cameron sofa. While I am more than happy with the quality and look of the sofas, so far, the whole experience was spoilt by one of the delivery drivers. First he said won't get that up the stairs even though I had measured my old sofa and took these measurement with me to the showroom and was assured the new sofas would fit up the stairs. He told me the sales staff didn't know what they were talking about. Not something I wanted or even needed to know. After much huffing and puffing the larger sofa was sucessfully delivered. The sofas were not unwrapped or put together as 'not my my job'. When I went outside my drive was strewn with cardboard and metal straps that were removed from the sofas. They also left a hole in the hall wall. Give me Marks & Spencer delivery any day.

Exceeded Expectations!
Came across Oak Furnitureland by chance whilst checking out other stores for new sofas. We had found nothing to suit us in any of the stores we had visited (in person and online) so we were delighted to find sofas that met our requirements and at a good price (love the sales!). Store staff were great - very knowledgeable and helpful without being at all pushy. We had a clear idea of what we were looking for (fabric sofas, large two-seaters, hard-wearing, neutral colours etc) and we were given the space and time to explore throughout the store. Any questions and comments were listened to and answered - at no point did we feel we were being pushed into making a choice we weren't comfortable with. Sofas are well made, really comfortable and we took out the additional insurance cover which we felt was good value considering the potential for accidental damage. Customer service was excellent throughout and the delivery guys were very professional. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the sofas and the company itself.
