Awful Awful Awful!!!

I wish there was an option to post images on this website so I could show you how bad Swoon furniture is from my own personal experience. The WORST customer experience and customer resolution process I have ever encountered! If you are thinking of purchasing anything from the Ziggy range then just be pre - warned; what I saw was definitely not what I got. Instead, I received a shocking piece of furniture which developed even further manufacturing defects over a short period of time. I will point blank never deal with this customer again and I am not surprised they went into administration previously.

Avoid At All Cost

Purchased two bar stool - one arrived first - corroded and rusty ! Yes rusty ! They then offered a 40% refund despite the item being faulty, after complaining and leaving a bad review on trust pilot customer services called me and after much discussion and countless emails I decided to give them a chance and to try another style….when the they arrived DESPITE KNOWING these were a replacement for the original faulty stools they ALSO arrived rusty and corroded - needless to say after taking 3 days off work to wait in for items and send them back I’ve decided to not even bother with a refund as it’s just too much hassle ….

I will never use again and make sure I tell everyone about the poor quality products and general shambolic company !!

Avoid Swoon As They Avoid You If There Is A Problem

I have already written a review on Trustpilot about the appalling quality of their furniture. I can't believe I have paid £1700 for a Munich Sofa which looks good in their photos but in reality is like sitting on a pancake!

The sofa is only 3 months old and not highly used as there is only 2 of us in the house and we have a large room with another sofa. The other sofa which is now 8 years old from Sofa Workshop is fab. Cheaper and just kept it's shape.

I am being told by Swoon that we cannot have a refund as we are outside of the 30 days and yet surely 3 months on an expensive sofa, you should not been turning the cushions all of time as the complaints team are telling me to do. We have had a technician out sent by Swoon who basically said it was poor quality foam and this is common. If only we had known I would never have purchased this. He looked at our Sofa Workshop sofa and took the seat cover off and showed us how much of a difference there is in the quality.

If I sit on the Swoon Sofa in the middle, I can actually feel the frame of the sofa beneath! I am light in weight and can't understand why I can feel a lump beneath me.

I have constant emails back and forth, missed a call but returned it, sent another email 2 days ago but still not getting any help from Swoon.

If any body has advice on consumer rights, it would be much appreciated as it is not acceptable that I am being told there is nothing they can do as it is over 30 days. I haven't been home for about 12 of them!

Avoid!

They are to be avoided at all cost. Sent the wrong chair, failed to collect it and even once they did collect they are stalling on a refund. Not for any reason other than that this is their process. I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered. They will go the same way as their recently liquidated competitors.

Extremely Poor Quality

Extremley Poor quality , do not waste your money when you can get better quality at IKEA for a fraction of their over inflated prices. My chair arrived dumped on my living room floor in a box which was probably a sign of things to come. The fabric used seemed nice but the fact that you can see the staples used to tack it to the frame is not what I expected. Due to the legs that you screw in yourself, wobbling so much that I had to take a closer look at the frame of the chair to see why. I discovered that what you actually get is a poorly constructed frame made from chipboard, poor quality softwood pine and cardboard....yes cardboard! ABSOLUTE RUBBISH. The reason for wobbling legs was a split in cross frame that the legs screw into. My chair is not even a week old, I'm guessing that there is definitely no Quantity Control at Swoon.

Don't Fool By Their Stylish Website

Don't fool by their stylish website, we had a big house renovation and bought 3 kitchen pendant/console table/sideboard/shoe cabinet from them. First of all except the sideboard were actually good the others all very average and cheaply made, now the kitchen pendant paint has came off, and they can't fix it, I have to provide an invoice to get a repair fee refund to me. And when the shoe cabinet arrived, it wood was chipped on the hinge bit, and they KINDLY offered if I like to receive 20% to keep the item, or replace will be 3 weeks, I mean who would keep something is going to break one day? Anyway, I waited over 1 month for the replacement, and in the end they said oh... We haven't got any stock atm and not sure when they will be back. So I have a massive brown box sitting in my lounge for 5 weeks, and had no where to put my shoes.... Anyway the quality is just shocking for that kind of price. DON'T FOOL BY THE PICTURES ON THE WEBSITE!

Swerve Swoon

Ordered a bed from Swoon in September 2021 - to be advised 4 months later in January 2022 (after having followed up on my delivery several times, and after Swoon having held £1000 of my money all that time) that my bed was lost/missing. It has now been one month liaising with customer service, customer experience and lastly the complaints team, to no avail - all that can be offered is a £50 as compensation for this. So disappointed in this company, and now looking at 8 months without a bed when I could have ordered elsewhere months ago.

This is a company to avoid

I ordered a bed in June 2021 . bed arrived late august and was faulty. The slats would not stay in place. They sent a ‘technician’ to fix the bed and he could not. Since then I have received email after email informing me that they could not tell me a date my problem would be solved. I have asked for a refund which they refuse until they have collected faulty bed yet they will not schedule a collection. UNBELIEVABLE lack of customer service. It’s been 7 months. I have no refund am no working bed..

I ordered a dressing table from Swoon in September 2020 and was advised this would take 6 weeks to arrive. Unfortunately I didn’t receive this until late February 2021. With everything going I understood this wasn’t their fault however no one contacted me once during this delay to keep me up to date.

The dressing table arrived and it turned out to be faulty despite it going through a ‘10 day quality control’. Swoon sent a technician who couldn’t fix it and so I had to wait until end of April for a replacement.

The replacement came however despite being told the old dressing table would be collected, the delivery drivers refused to take this as they had no instruction from swoon as I had been promised. I had to organise this to be collected myself nearly a week later.

The second dressing table was also faulty and i now think this quality control team are fictitious. A second technician came out who couldn’t replace it and so I waited for another replacement which turned up In June.

The third dressing table turned up and guess what this was also faulty!

Swoon offered me £100 compensation for the first faulty delayed dressing table however when the second one also turned up faulty they only offered £25. I cant figure out how this maths works and when I asked how this is fair the response was that it’s a business decision to never offer more than this. I cant seem to get my head round this ridiculous rule!!if this is a rule dont offer it all in one go.

Lastly swoon provide a service to upload photos to the technicians, this doesn’t work! When I called the technicians they advised that swoon have been told numerous times this link doesn’t work but they still send it to all their customers. The broken link means more time on the phone. I must have spent hours on the phone to swoon, their technicians and delivery drivers!

I would NEVER buy from this company again! Customer service is terrible, quality of the products are horrific, systems they use are broken and the it appears the ‘quality control team’ have been completely made up! Avoid this company at all costs you will find better furniture anywhere else!

Don’t Even Deserve 1 Star!

Please do not order from this company! I’ve been waiting over 8 weeks for something promised within a couple of weeks.

I can only think that they sell items they don’t have in stock and then go and source them.....I tracked my item from northern Spain as it arrive by boat, that was 7 weeks ago!

Now they don’t have any in stock even though I tracked it!!!

They’re just fobbing me off saying the courier will contact me and blaming the courier! I said to send it with someone else.....ooopps actually it’s not in stock??

Pathetic......YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! DO NOT USE!!

I have had exactly the same experience!!! I think the sham is to keep our money for as long as possible. I’ve been fobbed about where my arm chair is since mid September . I’ve asked for a refund but they say that can’t happen for about ten days !!!! Please do not buy from this company . You will save yourself a lot of frustration and grief if you take your business elsewhere. I’m still not even sure if I’ll get my money back! Currently after three months I have no armchair or my money back! I am about to seek legal advice t- I’ll keep u all posted about how I get on!
