I Will Try Not To Use Them Again - Very Poor Service
I will try not to use Taskers again. It is great that they have a showroom and that you can actually see items - however -
Firstly we ordered a king size bed. It was delivered on time however the delivery guys would not use shoe covers, they just waltz into the house and think it acceptable despite being asked. When they uncovered the mattress it had a cut in it and so had to be returned. I had to insist that they replaced it the same day because they had them in stock, and thankfully they did. The owner said that the reason that they didn't use shoe covers was because it was dangerous carrying beds upstairs with them on - to which I agreed but then pointed out to him that we live in a bungalow!! But it is all even worse from here in:
We then ordered a Stressless leather sofa and chair. It was ordered in October 21 and we were told that the sofa would be with us by Christmas but the chair not until March 22. This was accepted and so nearer the date after we had removed our old suite I contacted them to verify the delivery date. We were told that no way would the sofa be with us for Christmas. We therefore had to sit on our conservatory suite during the Christmas period however why could they not contact us and keep us informed?? If I had not contacted them they would not have made the effort. I expressed my disappointment to the owner and was told that he would try to get both the sofa and the chair for end of January - which once again we accepted. January came and went and still no sofa or chair. He gave all sorts of excuses and even said that some of his staff members in the office were under so much stress that they were crying! I politely pointed out to him that I am just the customer, not a councilor or his HR department!! He can be very rude at times almost making it out as though it is the customer's fault!
In March the sofa arrived - the delivery guys had a hell of a job getting the sofa in and had to dismantle it. Now they assemble the pieces in their warehouse prior to delivery and so I asked why they would do that when it is far easier to carry and assemble in the property - I didn't get a reply. Once again no shoe covers or care taken despite being asked. The sofa was noticed to have marks on it and was generally not of the same quality as the showroom model. Then my wife noticed that it was not even the same design as the one we had ordered! Unbelievable! All through this episode he told us that we could not have the showroom model to make up for the time wasted. Once again I spoke to him and this time gave an ultimatum - either deliver the showroom model and collect the one delivered or give us a full refund and cancel the deal. We now have the showroom model at a slightly reduced price due to it being a showroom piece and are happy with that. The second lot of guys who collected the original suite and delivered the showroom one were far more professional and made it look easy by just removing a couple of bolts! They still didn't wear shoe covers however.
The chair was due to arrive in March originally - It actually arrived today 25th April. Once again they couldn't get it down a standard corridor so had to dismantle it on the driveway - very professional - NOT! Once again no shoe covers but at least we now have all of the items and we can put this all behind us. I would never have though it could be so difficult to spend over £6k of my hard earned money.
Very poor service all round and this is a real shame because I have used Taskers for over 25 years. Not happy at all.

I ordered 2x coffee tables, 2x lampstands & 1x sideboard from Taskers of Accrington on 21/02/20. The items were delivered on 05/07/20. The sideboard had a broken leg & wood work was damaged, 1x lampstand had chipped wood, 1x coffee table had a bent leg. Despite promises by Taskers of Accrington to replace / temporary repair these items, (we have furniture in boxes cluttering our house that we cannot use) we are still waiting for Taskers of Accrington to resolve the issue as of 10/10/20!

Bad, Bad, Bad... Do Not Part With Your Money
This must be the worst company to deal with... Don't believe the innocent sweet smiles of the two working in the bedroom department.. They take your money. It is such a shame as they have some nice products, but they just want your money and fill you full of promises. I have had to take them to the small claims court, as so many others have done too.. WHY, I dont know they let it go that far!!! DO NOT PART WITH YOUR MONEY!!! Go to Stokers and be treated like a customer!!!

He is not a nice person. I also read similar comment to mine before I took them to the small claims court, which I won.. he left it right to the day before.. but he had to pay my costs and give me my full money back. Good luck..

They lie , they don’t action what they have promised !!! Months and months of correspondence , can’t get an answer , customer service is absolutely a joke!!! Do not use !!!! I stress do not use this company it’s an absolute joke !

Appalling service. Terrible online experience. Had difficulty ordering on line because of error on their website. I had to make five phone calls to get it sorted. Waited well over a week then phoned to query the delay only to be told they were out of stock and it was a discontinued line. They said I had been told it was discontinued, which was a complete lie. I asked why no one had notified me only to be told that they were too busy to let people know. On asking to speak to their MD I was told he didn't take calls and had no secretary. No apology. Terrible Customer Relations.

In May I purchased some replacement seat cushions and covers for two sofas currently supplied by Tasker's. I was given a price for covers and later internals separately by Bernie. In the end, encouraged by Bernie, I ordered both. Unfortunately when they arrived the internals were of very poor quality and so I requested by phone, within 24 hours, to return them. Bernie advised me that he believed this would not be possible but that he would check. I then confirmed in writing as requested. Despite my chasing this by phone and email I received one phone message early on saying he was looking in to in and then no replies to any of my calls and emails. After a month of silence I tried to pursue this via the credit card company. They have been unable to help me for two reasons. Tasker's have denied ever giving me a cost breakdown and since they did not show it on their invoice it cannot be proved. I advised the breakdown came direct from Bernie but they still deny it ever happened ! Also I was advised by the credit card company that Tasker’s terms and conditions state in the small print that a returns form must be completed. When Bernie asked me to confirm by email this was not mentioned but the absence of it, despite a written request, is apparently enough to thwart a claim so beware. I am appalled at Tasker's total lack of customer service. In this age of internet and phone ordering we all need to be sure we can return goods if we are not satisfied with them. In my experience this has not been the case with Tasker's.

Brilliant Service Start To Finish
I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews on here, perhaps because most people (myself included I must admit) only talk about bad experiences. I went to Taskers in the hope of buying a suite and bedroom furniture for my new home that I hadnt even moved into yet. I was probably a bit of an annoying customer because I didnt really have any idea of what I wanted. Anyway, long story short, I came away having bought a bed, headboard, triple wardrobe, large chest of drawers, 2 x bedsides, a sofa and chair. Most of the items were in stock and the few that were not in stock were on a short delivery time (good job because I left it so late I thought I'd be sleeping and sitting on a blow up mattress). The delivery team arranged delivery for first thing in the morning on my moving date meaning I could get everything in and put away all on the same day. The suite wouldnt go through my front door to begin with (my own fault for not measuring) but the guys took off my front door, got the stuff in and put my door back on again. Nothing was too much trouble at all. Really cant fault this place and will be going back when I'm ready to order my dining room furniture!

Leather Or Not Leather????
We bought a leather? suite 5+ years ago. after 2 years an arm had to be recovered due to what looked like plastic peeling off. Questioned the quality of the leather and was reassured the leather was 4 grades above normal. The CEO told us this and was the main reason we bought the 3 pieces of lounge suite, apart from being reduced to £2200.00 from £4400.00. After 5 years the covering seemed to "crack" and the black material underneath started to show through - very unsightly. We contacted Taskers again and invited them to inspect the suite, they declined. Instead they paid the furniture Ombudsman to inspect the item and suggested "over cleaning" may have had an effect. The technician came and checked and his report stated " normal wear influenced by OVER CLEANING". He was told by us that the suite was wiped down approx, every 2 weeks but reported it was "cleaned" every 2 weeks - not the same thing!! A leather "balm" was used as required!!
The funny thing is that the excessive cleaning only affected 2 cushions out of 6 and did not affect any backs or sides??? Neither Taskers nor the Ombudsman stated how often cleaning should take place. Taskers only state "REGULAR CLEANING" If you buy anything, make sure you get it stated clearly in writing what regularly means?
Taskers insisted the leather quality was 4 grades above normal at grade CAT200 but COULDN'T or WOULDN'T show any evidence to prove it. We said we would get the Ombudsman in to check and Taskers replied by saying that their grade of CAT 200 may not be recognised by others in the leather industry as each manufacturer is different. Sounds a bit funny!!
being pensioners we had to give up the complaint due to lack of finances and will have to buy a replacement suite.
OUR NEXT SUITE WILL PROBABLY COMING FROM "MAUNDY" OR "SENSE" OR ANY OTHER CHARITY SHOP"

toThe managing director (ivon) is the rudest person I have ever had the displeasure of meeting! My mother purchased a rug from there only a couple of days ago after being informed that if it doesn't look nice or isn't the right size that she can return it, she got it home and it was too large so she called the store.
The staff were nice but said the managing director had to make that decision as it was a clearance item and he would call us back, this was at 12 noon, no body called us so myself and my partner found the returns policy online (category 5.5 of the taskers website) we were going to head home so thought we would drop it off on the way, we went in with the rug and immediately were made to feel like trespassers, like we were lower class for returning an item, a very polite gentleman helped us and said that the managing director was just with a customer and he would be along shortly and came back in intervals to check on us, an hour and a half went by and it was getting close to closing and we saw he was no longer with a customer so we approached him.
"I'm busy!" he barked before even looking up at us from his tablet, we politely apologised and said we had been waiting an hour an 45 mins and we needed just 5 minutes, he said "oh so it's you with the rug...... it's a clearance item you can't have your money back" in the most dismissive way possible, I was stunned! I asked if he could kindly point out on the website where it states this as we had found the category that says we can, he pointed to cancellations and said "there.... I don't have to give it you back and I don't want to besides I'd have thought if your mother had wanted the money back shouldn't she be the one showing her face?" By this point I was furious so I replied "that's irrelevant and this isnt a cancellation its a return and to be honest if I was to witness you speak to my mother the way you had just spoken to me we would have a serious issue"
On a side note while we were waiting I went into live chat on the website and asked them to send me the statement saying we can't get a refund, they said ok and sent us category 5.5...... but with extra writing added that was not on the website (I have kept what they said on record and the quotation from the website) they actually lied!
I told the managingredients director and he laughed and said "hahaha take me to court then" with a big grin on his face!
Seeing we were getting no where and feeling like second class citizens we went to leave and were approached by the gentleman who first saw us, he asked to take our number so I gave it, he said he was very sorry about this but could not comment further, you could see he wanted to help but was terrified by the managing director, I asked if he was OK and he walked off quickly.
We left and today the managing director called me, "are you the lad with the rug?" I said "yes, thanks for calling" I went on to say I was sorry for interrupting while he was busy but he stopped me and barked "your mother was told at the moment of purchase that she couldn't return it" I told him that she wasn't and he said chuckled and said "well we will have to agree to disagree then won't we" now he is even annoying me at work, frustrated I told him that I'm going to do exactly what he told me to do and take it further and he replied "are you threatening me?" I said "no, But you seemed to really like the idea of us taking you to court so I will, now delete my number and never call me again!"
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE! Read the other reviews on other sites! For some reason this website has good reviews and I cannot fathum how, all the other sites have horrible reviews of this store
