Rip Off

Ordered a mattress and bed frame luckly got the bed frame never got the mattress it took over four months of excuses as to why the mattress couldn't be sent they even asked for more money to express delivery then got the email telling me I would not receive my item this was for a disabled lad they lied and stole his money it is disgusting in future will make sure I read up on companies before parting with money as this is regular for them to open a business then lose it :-(

The-bed-shop.com Do Not Use This Website!!!

I ordered a bed for my daughter from The-bed-shop.com, and the next day rang to see if I could add a mattress to the order. This was done and they took my credit card details, all no problem. Got the series if emails over the next few days, explaining the order status and updates. Finally after about a week I got an email saying that the complete order was ready and being "quality checked" abs they would phone be to arrange delivery to suit. I have not heard since, despite emailing, trying both phone numbers (which are now out of use) and yet they took our money. No bed, not even attempted to contact me to arrange delivery.

I really wish I had read some reviews first as I normally do; just glad that our credit card company are now investigating it on our behalf and have refunded us. Judging from how long the company has existed as a registered company, I think they keep going bust and then re-opening as the same company with a different name.

Don't touch with a barge pole!!!

Buyer Beware

I've wasted a lot of time and effort trying to swap a mattress that we weren't happy with and after nearly a month of going backwards and forwards I'm now at the end of my tether. No amount of complaint e-mails or phone calls has made any difference, all we get are empty apologies, broken promises and a complete refusal of a phone call back from the only person of authority in the company: some joker cwho doesn't know the first thing about running a reliable business with good customer service. Avoid at all costs and if you've had a bad experience, please share it so others don't make the same mistake of buying anything from this company. As I finish writing this, I've yet to receive the new mattress and can't move into my new home.

Do Not Use This Company, Absolute Waste Of Time!!

I ordered a bed and matress from the Bed Shop although the same bed and mattress were available cheaper elsewhere, but at least this company offered the possibility to chose your day of delivery. This was convenient for me as I had to arrange to be off work to receive my goods.

I chose Tuesday 05/02 as my delivery date for both items and received a confirmation email that everything would be delivered on the day chosen.

On the day of delivery, I received a phone call to tell me my bed would only be half delivered as the delivery company couldn't fit the rest on the lorry. A further phone call followed to announce the mattress could neither be delivered as promised, and would be delivered the next day.

I had to arrange for a second day off work as the company was unable to give me an approximate delivery time, instead I was given the phone number of the delivery people and had to keep phoning them to get an approximate time of delivery.

When the second half of the bed was delivered, I discovered that I was missing one element of the bed (the footboard) and instead had received 2 identical boxes, so they had messed up the order on top of a late delivery.

When I contacted them to report the issue, I was told the delivery company had made the error, but wouldn't be able to re-deliver before the following day....

At this point, I was furious, having to again book time off work at the last minute to receive the delivery.

At last, the last box arrived, and the delivery people refused to collect the box that had been delivered by error.

When I contacted the company, I was told the delivery company would contact me shortly to arrange collection of the box.

Well, it is now a week later and the box is still sitting in my lounge, taking a lot of space, and not collected yet....

On complaining for the poor service experienced, and the waste of my time, I received a refund for £21.34... hardly a significant amount to make up for 2 days wasted waiting for a delivery to arrive.

I certainly will NEVER use this company again, and advise that no one else does..

The Bed Shop Online! Worst Company Ever! Deserves No Stars!

Really deserves minus stars as far as i am concerned!

Ordered a bed in August, was told would be delivered in 2 weeks, then recieved email advising that it would not actually be in stock until late September. I accepted this and emailed back to ask when it would be delivered so i could ensure someone was there to recieve it, i then recieved the same email forwarded back to me. I emailed again asking when it would be delivered and then advised not until the end of November! They did email me an alternative bed but for £150 more, they offered to discount this by £60 so i paid the additional funds on the understanding it would be delivered the next day, then recieved an email saying that there was another delay. Emailed in to complain about this, manager michael was very rude, would not phone me, kept blaming other people for his shortcomings, cancelled my order and refunded money without asking me and was just very unpleasant to deal with. Have reported to watchdog and if you have had problems think you should to so we can get the company shut down. Worst customer service ever!!!!

Who Is Michael?

After over a month, the Bed shop cancelled my daughter's order today.

They took the original order and money, failed to inform her there were supplier problems and only when chased did they admit it. They suggested an alternative bed and offered a discount on it - although this still meant she had over £60. to pay to make up the difference. Assured it would be delivered today and guess what - email last night at 6pm saying supplier problems and could they deliver tomorrow instead.

Tried to get Michael to phone - surprisingly he wouldn't and then after emailing him and asking him to call to discuss the problem - HE cancelled the order himself saying he had been doing this job for 25 years and didn't want to deal with my daughter or myself because I was rude to him. I merely told him his customer service was not professional.

Waiting to see if he has refunded the money as promised - if only we had read his awful reviews before ordering.

Never never had such an awful service and is Michael really a Director??? Does he have a surname - his responses sound like a child has written them.

Excellent Service And Fast Delivery

I purchased a white diamante bed and pace mattress off this company for next day delivery, i received the tracking numbers the day before delivery and on the morning of delivery i was able to track my order and get an estimated time of arrival. Very good service, customer service also helped pick the mattress for me and it was ideal for my daughter at a very reasonable price.

The website was fantastic i was able to find what i was looking for easy and when i rang customer service for advice on the mattress they were quickly able to point me in the right direction.

I will be ordering the rest of my bedroom furniture from them in the future.

Long Waits For Goods And Then They Arrive Damaged.

Ordered 3 items from The-Bed-Shop and wished I hadn't. Upon ordering, the items were in stock and available for 'Next Day Delivery'. After much chasing, over 3 weeks later I eventually received the items, although 1 was damaged thanks to poor packaging and neglect by YODEL. Yes, be warned, they use YODEL for deliveries!

Immediately phoned 'customer services' - they didn't really seem interested or sorry and just wanted to get off the phone as quickly as possible. They told me it all needed to go down in an email to them. So, that is what I did. I didn't get an email response very quickly but it said "Unfortunately I cannot deal with your email as it requires a managers response".

I've asked them to deal with my complaint within 24 hours. If I do receive good service from them regarding this then I will post the outcome. However, after reading reviews on here and on moneysavingexpert.com forums I somehow think this is going to be a long and drawn out process.

At the moment, I suggest you avoid them. There are far better online retailers out there.

Bed Sent With Missing Parts, Terrible Customer Service.

Bed sent with missing parts, Called their terrible customer service, they make constant excuse that 'only manager can deal with problems' and it seems he is always in a meeting , still awaiting response from him , office staff seem incompetent as no one can answer any queries as to how to get the parts.

Avoid like the plague.
