Bad Experience
I live in Atlanta, GA. I never realised that furniture.com is simply a broker between you & another furniture company in your part of town with physical location. All they do is take the order, charge your credit card & pass that down to the local furniture company. In my case it was American Signature Furniture. American Signature is famous for selling attractive looking, extremely inferior quality furniture with no return policy. Anyways I placed my order for bedroom set with expected delivery in 2 weeks. Come close to 2 weeks I get a call from some ghetto girl telling me it is on back order for at least a month now. That is when I realised the furniture delivery is from American Signature. Now my $1200 is stuck & I have to wait a month more. I saw bedroom furniture elsewhere but could not purchase it since my $1200 is charged on my credit card. I tried cancelling my order calling both Furniture.com & American Signature but tough luck! They refused. So, be prepared to go through this headache.

The furniture selections and prices are great and I found exactly what I was looking for unfortunately they are just the middleman. The actual company selling the merchandise through the website messed up my delivery by not delivering all the drawers for a storage bed. Delivery guys assembled the bed put the mattress on and then told us the missing storage bed drawers were not on the shipping slip. My husband was furious. Furniture.com is great for those who like to shop on-line and I would recommend using with caution because you can not tell what company is actually selling the merchandise.

I am so sorry I decided to purchase an expensive Michael Amini bedroom set from thefurniture.com. They pushed back the delivery date 4 times and did not update me about the status of my order. Every time I called their customer service gave me a new story

I Love Our Bedroom Sets For Our Girls. However, We
I love our bedroom sets for our girls. However, we had to wait 9 weeks when they said 4-6!! This was very frustrating to me. Also, I don't think the descriptions on the website are very accurate. We bought daybeds with 3 drawers underneath. I assumed they would be connected to the bed, but they are just 3 loose individual drawers under their beds. They drive me crazy because they're never straight!! Over all, I guess it was ok, but I won't buy from them again!!!

My Experience With Thefurniture.com Has Not Been P
My experience with thefurniture.com has not been pleasant. For one thing, they made me pay in full for an item that was not in stock. At first they told me it was available then they called me back 2 weeks later saying the bedroom set that I ordered was not in stock. When I finally received my bedroom set 7 weeks later, it was definitely not "white glove" delivery. My furniture had cracks and damages in a few places and the driver refused to take anything back saying I had to call the store I purchased my furniture from. I argued with thefurniture.com employees and they finally agreed to exchange the furniture that came in damaged. I will never purchase from them and will not recommend them to anyone. Finally, there prices are not all that. I have seen better prices on other websites and stores. The reason wny I initially purchased from thefurniture.com is that they told me the item I wanted was in "stock" (even though I got my furniture in 7 weeks!!!!!) and available for immediate delivery while other websites told me it was not in stock.

We Live In New York And Had Seen This Dinning Room
We live in new york and had seen this Dinning room set in a furniture store in Connecticut. They wanted over $300.00 for delivery. Since I was remodeling the room we were in no hurry to order. With painting and having the floor refinished we had plenty of time to search on line for this set. Finally, we found it at TheFurniture.com. The price was just about the same as the store but with free shipping. Delivery, was in four weeks. When it arrived it was in twelve boxes, the delivery men wanted to leave but we insisted they stay till it was unpacked so we could check for damage. Everything was fine and we love the set, even having ordered two extra chairs. Only two problems to bring up. #1 it took almost four hours to breakdown twelve large boxes and all the packing materials. #2 The day of the original order, Sergie, promised us felt pads for the chairs. Once we got the delivery it took over three weeks and four e-mails to get the felt pads. We had stated before ordering that we only would order if the chairs had felt pads. With a new hard wood floor we didn't want scratches. When we finally got the felt pads there was only enough for four chairs. Remember, we had a total of eight chairs. No big deal? Well, it is if you promise to accommodate a customer and then tell a fib to get their business. Because we were persistent we got the pads. We don't think they ever intended to provide pads if we didn't keep bugging them. All in all, we would order from them again.

Our bed arrived in a timely manner and the delivery driver called ahead to ensure someone would be there to receive it. We're happy with the bed; it was a great price and looks good in our guest room.
