Crappy Cheap Manufactured Furniture
Was so disappointed at the quality of furniture ordered it was returned on the same day it was delivered.
We placed a £2,031 order and were so excited to furnish our new home. Ordering, communication and delivery arrangements went smoothly. However despite their terms and conditions stating items need to be inspected and any damage noted before drivers leave this was our first hurdle. The 3rd party driver could not wait for items to be unboxed. On phoning we were then told it wouldn't be an issue if we notified them later.
One box was clearly damaged on inspection the damage had reached the side table. We refused it and sent it back.
After drivers left we started opening our first box - a large £785 Cotswold sideboard. We photographed all knocks on the box before opening.
The item was well packed however once unwrapped the damage was atrocious. The top had broken away from the base, the doors were unlevel, a shelf inside was not attached in one corner and every foot was split. The materials and manufacture of this 1 piece shocked us so much we immediately telephoned and demanded they collect the whole order for a refund.
After being told nothing could be done without me emailing my issues I was in the process of typing when I was called back and told the driver was on his way back. So within 1hr of delivering my order it was recollected and returned. Therefore the only positive I can give to Oak Outlet is their customer service was good. We received our refund 2 working days later.
We have since ordered replacement furniture, the solid oak sideboard (not oak topped) cost £550 from an actual store. The entire order cost is a fraction dearer at £2,180.
I highly recommend anyone looking for high priced furniture visit a store rather than ordering online that way you get to touch and feel the quality your hard earned money is buying.

Poor Quality And Delivery Misinformation
Had two items purchased from this online shop. There was a very long, about 1.5 months wait for delivery, which is understandable in the current situation. But completely agree with the other reviewer on the disappointing quality of the items. Very uneven and patched look on the surface, but what is out of sight, ex.top of the bookcase, inside of the drawer is completely unfinished and rough. The table had to be assembled and some screws didn't fit. Unfortunately couldn't afford to send it back after such a long wait. Also although a two-men delivery to the room of choice is advertised for the large items, it is misleading. The "large bookcase" turned out to be a small item for delivery purposes so we had to carry it upstairs ourselves.

Very Poor Service
Qualify was good but the wardrobe I saw assembled in the showroom at nearly £1000 arrived in 8 pieces. The drivers ran off as soon as I mentioned assembly even though i was not told when I purchased it was going to be disassembled because of weight. it was lunchtime and I was the last drop but the drivers must of been in hurry to get to the pub, Very unprofessional so I won’t use them again.
Never Again
Spent almost £2k on furniture and had to postpone delivery twice due to positive covid tests which I communicated to the company as soon as I knew. I was told I was too late (not being a clairvoyant and predicting test results) and charged £160! Never again

Disappointing Quality
On the plus side, delivery was very prompt, so no complaints there, and the "correct" item was delivered. My gripe, is all about quality. The oak lamp table I ordered looked really nice in the pic, and the description didn't mention home assembly - which sounded ideal, but the reality was rather different.
For starters, there is some assembly required, which is not especially complex, but is a little awkward and made harder by poorly fitting parts. The wood is evidently reclaimed, as some areas still have old paint on them, which really is pretty poor. Some of the cuts and joints are equally second rate, while the advertised "dovetailed oak drawer" has dovetailed oak at the front but stapled together pine at the back. There are also numerous 'minor' faults/damage, which just come together to make the whole thing feel underwhelming, something I'm inclined to hide in a corner rather than show off.

Good Honest Company
This company was excellent. Placed my order after talking to John.R,
Items delivered before estimated date to nominated shipping agent for onward shipping abroad.
The furniture, when eventually unpacked, was perfect.
John did exactly what he promised.
Good honest service, good prices, good quality furniture.
Would not hesitate to deal with theoakoutlet.co.uk again.
