Mfd - Conmen And Theives, Never Purchase From Them. Full Det

Never purchase from them. Full details inside.

Better chance of finding Madaline McCann than getting a honest deal or refund out of these people.

So I ordered a Samsung note 8 on o2 back in August 2018. £41 a month contract, nothing up front, 50gb data and all texts / calls. A good price for me and a good deal.

Well this is where it went wrong.

Mobile phones direct (MPD from now on) screwed up at EVERY stage going along. All done online and that aspect was hassle free, second people got involved it was a bitter taste. .

Firstly there shipping partner DPD mysteriously lost the phone 3 times and then claimed it had been delivered three times. Que a lot of confusion by them telling me I had the phone which I didn't, and me chasing up DPD locally, they told me they couldn't find or track the phone etc etc. Phone eventually appeared on my doorstep one morning around 6am as I went to work not signed for and left dumped in the rain, and I then sent it back having conteacted them as they told me phone had now been treated as stolen and blocked.

No doubt it was a DPD driver trying to keep the item and got caught out, but to be made to feel that I was the one misplacing the phone by the staff was not a nice situation.

So I rang them to cancel the contract as I was about to go into hospital and face a large operation. They then informed me they would cancel the contract and start a new one, send me out a new phone and contract writing the old one off. Within 28 days and everything so hassle free.

Sounds good, went through everything again over phone and was reassured this would be sorted. I asked anything need doing my end and informed no they would take care of it all.

New phone arrived, tried to start contract using it and it was also screwed up, I ended up going to a local o2 store to get the sim situation sorted out as it wasn't right either.

I will state the new contract I'm currently using is fine and 5 months on hassle free however was a mess around sorting it also just to activate the contract.

Unfortunately they did not cancel the ORIGINAL contract, I attended hospital for an operation on my throat leaving me unable to talk for some time and had been distracted with health being both medicated and exhausted after. 4 months ago I noticed two bills coming out of my account for £41. I figured it was o2 calling for the money early as this was a Friday and my billing date was Sunday that week.

3 months ago same thing happened and I realised I've been paying o2 twice. So I ring o2 up to ask about it and I'm unable to pass any security on the account as whilst it's in my name, direct debiting from my bank etc etc the security questions arnt set up.

So fraud and complaints launched, o2 helping me out, MPD claiming that it's in o2s hands now and they can't help me.

But now it's 5 months on and I'm STILL being billed by o2 for this FAKE contract I have neither access to use, never received the phone or able to pass security with.

O2 have confirmed the account was never activated and has had zero activatity on it, o2 are trying their best to sort it but keep coming up against problems, I've had to launch a fraud case with o2 to investigate it, with a twin complaint case against the contract and the phone (none of which is o2s fault they have been trying their best).

I've cancelled the direct debit like MPD recemmended and o2 are now obviously chasing me for money via their debt department who acknowledge the problem but can't go any further until their complaints depart resolve this taking up to another 28 days.

Mean time my credit rating is tanking, the o2 bill that I'm refusing to pay is increasing with o2 automatically adding on charges and again o2 hands are tied as MPD where ment to resolve this after 7 phone calls to their complaint and customer service team since Christmas who have contacted me once and didn't even leave a voice message after I specifically told them my working time where I would be home and able to discuss the matter.

2 weeks on they still havnt contacted me and I'm sitting on the phone in a que right now attempting to get this solved.

Do not buy from mobile phones direct.

They will screw you around.

If it goes wrong they won't refund you.

Take your business in an o2 shop, the staff told me they could equal the contracts MPD where offering for the same price, set me up on the day and let me leave with the phone there and then.

Worst mistake I've made in years. When I get my refund OFCOM will be getting full details of this case.

Avoid At All Costs

This is a classic case of undercutting the competition marginally but then offering catastrophic customer service!

Using a price comparison site I found that these guys had a better deal for an iPhone than EE could offer me as part of my upgrade. Since EE wouldn't match it I went with DM.

1 - You're lucky if you can ever get through to anyone, even on the sales line which should have warned me off if they aren't even efficient enough to accept new business

2 - When you do get through you have an overseas call centre where even the most simple of details need spelling out 10 times before they are correct.

3 - The deal funnily enough want quite as good as they said (lied about) in their advertising and on the comparison site but of course they know that most people wont want to bother going through the whole process on hold with their provider again.

4 - They refused to deliver to a work address and will only deliver to the address your card is registered at. great for the security conscious but awful for anyone working 9-5!

After telling me my phone was in stock and would be delivered 3 days later. I waited. 5 days later I called and asked where it was, only to be told that it hadn't been in stock in the first place. not only did they lie just to get me to sign up but they didn't even have the courtesy to give me a heads up that it wasn't being delivered.

5 - When I finally got to the bottom of it all, and 15 days after my initial order they finally told me they had a phone in stock (wrong colour of course but wasn't worried about that by this point) they told me it would be with me in 24 hours. However this too proved too much for them to manage and this failed too. Another day wasted waiting for delivery.

Trust me, its worth paying that little bit more and upgrading through your provider if you can, or going to a shop.

The Poorest Shopping Experience Ever! Do Not Buy A Phone Her

I ordered a Blackberry Passport on contract on the Sunday, Monday I receive an email to say the order has been processed however the phone is out of stock, someone will call me when it is back in stock. 3 Days later still no call, I spend 15 minutes waiting on the phone to some call center in India, only to be told the phone is now discontinued. No one called me, I had to waste my time and call them, they offered no resolution and no apology. Please Think Twice before ordering here, although they have great offers, do you really want to be inconvenienced?. Stick to a reputable dealer.

Waiting Two Weeks For The Phones I've Ordered -still Nothing

Over a week ago I have ordered two contracts with sony xperia z3 compact - two days later I've received the email they don't have it in stock. After I waited few days I called to ask when they will have it but they couldn't answer, so after another couple of days I called them back someone told me they will be back in stock over weekend. We have Monday so I called back to check if they arrived but the lady told me they are still out of stock and she has no idea when will it be back.... my pack codes are expiring in couple of days and I still don't even know when will I have my phones.... How can they sell something they do not have?? Bad experience - not recommended!!!

Very Disappointed !!!

I place an order 4 weeks ago and finally I had to cancel it. All this is just because I’m wasting my time and money, I phoned them at least 15 times during this period to see the status of my order and all times I get just lies from them. NOT RECOMMEND TO ANY ONE TO ORDER FROM DIRECTMOBILES.COM !!!

Brilliant Prices And Service

I wanted a I phone 5 deal for my wife with unlimited data as she uses the Internet a lot for her work. I trawled the Internet to find the best deal and found directmobiles to have the best deal.500 minutes, unlimited data and texts with T Mobile for £27 PM with a £59 handset cost. I called phones 4U and Carphone warehouse and a few other big players in the field and nobody could match it never mind beat it , unless you want to go through the hell that is redemption deals!! . Ordered the phone Late Sunday evening ,as it was a bank holiday weekend I didn't expect to hear anything until the Tuesday. I received a confirmation E mail Sunday, a E mail bank holiday Monday to say that the contract was approved and I would receive an E mail to tell me when I would receive the phone. The phone was delivered Wednesday morning by the postman special delivery. This really was a super fast service from directmobiles. I was going to mark them down one star as I never received a E mail to tell me about the delivery , until a few days later when I was clearing out my E mails from my Junk box and there it was an E mail from directmobiles dated the Day before delivery , it had the tracking number and told me it would be delivered by 1 PM on the Wednesday. So all I can say is that I found the whole process fast and efficient . I did the whole order via the Internet and was offered the usual one months free insurance but I just unticked the box at checkout and that was it , no hard sell, no having to call to try and cancel and been browbeat into keeping it and no I don't want nor need to pay to be a member of the geek squad etc . Etc..... Rant over about these ripoff insurances that nobody needs ,have they learn't anything from the PPI scandal. Anyway I would recommend this company to family and friends and would use again,no problem.
