Absolutely Hopeless

After buying a phone I returned it unopened within the 14 days and asked for a refund. After trying several times through automated service eventually got to speak to someone about refund kept getting told within 3-5 days. After several phone calls received money back. Bearing in mind that I returned phone on 21/11/2022 and according to government website should have received refund within 14 days after returning the item received refund 29/12 2022. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

Terrible Customer Service, No Delivery

Absolutely appalling customer service. I ordered a phone to be delivered on Saturday.

They arrange DPD delivery for Friday. I asked if they could rearrange it for Saturday as originally agreed. Now the phone is due to be delivered on Monday, not Saturday.

The customer service is clueless regarding Data Protection and how to check identity of the customer. Their idea of identity check is the Twitter or Facebook name. And you trust these ***** with your bank details!

They do not reply to emails either, I have tried several times.

Also, according to companies house mobiles.co.uk has been dissolved so avoid like plague - you might lose your money and your phone!

This company is unbelievable. They offer very good phone contract deals but beware when you pay upfront for the phone they then refuse your contract for undisclosed reasons & do not refund the ammount you have paid upfront for the phone. In my case £100.01. Fantastic I stayed at home waiting for delivery for 2 days.before they emailed me . They gave me a rubbish explanation of I was trying to take out a fraudulant contract. Bit strange as i already have a contract with them which has been running for 20 months for my daughters phone & also had my wife's phone contract with them 3 years ago. What a c-o-n I am referring it to the FSA. This is the company who had a security breach i think last year & had thousands of customers details & bank details stolen.. AVOID!

Appalling Service - Avoid At All Costs

First of all I received a call from a sales agent advising I was due an upgrade. I advised I was not due an upgrade for another 3 days. The sales agent argued with me he could do it that day so I said fine go ahead and do it. Phone never arrived the next day so when `I called up they said it won't be sent out for a few days as I wasn't due an upgrade yet. Straight away I have been mis-sold. It gets worse. I request to cancel the order and the guy on the phone advises he is a manager and he can see the order 'just got processed" (how convenient) and he will request it to be stopped. Thought that was my dealings with this company over with, but no. The following day I received an email to state phone will be delivered between a certain time slot. Fuming to say the least, figured I would have to just refuse the delivery. Waited until the delivery slot as the locate my driver was not working, called the delivery company to be told mobiles.co.uk requested the phone to be sent back to them. Ok I didn't want it sent out but, it would have been helpful if they advised this would happen as I waited an hour after my shift. 4 days on I don't have a phone and my network company still have my account showing as upgraded. Absolute shocking service and a complete waste of my time. Shame your apart of carphone warehouse as `I rate them a lot better.

Fantastic From Start To Finish

i read the reviews before i ordered and was a little weary about it but beggars cant be choosers as my maw would say , i have bad credit so was pushing my luck and i got my phone delivered when it said it, was connected before it said, it was fantastic condition, i would rate this company 5 out of 5.

sometimes you have to miss out the big boys and give these guys a chance and i defo would im in the process of trying to get a phone for the other half wish me luck xx

The prices on the site are fantasic its giving the big boys a run for their money best value ive ever seen.

Shocking Service - Do Not Use

I ordered a Samsung S6 on a pay monthly contract with Vodafone. They got off to a good start by delivering the handset very quickly but that's where it ended. The SIM card sent with the phone never connected so the handset remained unusable. I had to ring them to explain what was happening and they assured me a manual connection would sort it all out. It didn't. I had to ring them again to be told that in order to get a new SIM they had to credit check me a second time. I was not happy as I am applying for a mortgage and did not want anything to potentially affect my credit rating. I had no choice they told me this was the only way to sort it out so I reluctantly agreed. Fast forward 5 days and nothing had arrived. Another phone call made at my expense only to be told I had failed the second credit check and had to return the handset immediately and would not be offered any further contracts via Mobiles.co.uk or Vodafone. Again I was fuming but had no choice but to return the handset. Thinking this was over I went straight to Carphone Warehouse who credit checked me AGAIN but to a positive outcome in the respect that I got the handset, the SIM and a package that worked and suited me all in the space of my lunch hour. Lo and behold I then received a welcome letter from Vodafone for the SIM that never worked which I rang them direct to ensure the account had been cancelled and no charges would be associated to me. Today I received a demand letter for the first month’s bill!!! Absolutely dreadful service, I will never use this company again and will endeavour to tell anyone that will listen to avoid at all costs.

Very Poor Service - Avoid

I'm not someone that normally writes reviews. It needs to be something REALLY good or REALLY bad for me to make an effort and advise other consumers. I felt the need to write a review about my experience with this company.

I visted the website after reading good reviews online about the firm. People seemed generally pleased and the deals thast were being offered were really good. Worth a punt I thought.

I went through the order process which was relatively painless, submitted my details and looked forward to receiving me new phone, with an expected delivery date of the very next day.

Cue disappointment. I received an email from the company on the evening of my order advising that there was a delay due to high demand and that I "SHOULD NOT CONTACT THEM FOR AN UPDATE FOR UNLESS I HADN'T HEARD FROM THEM IN 48 HOURS". Not a great start but I though it was fair enough given the time of year.

48 Hours go by with no discernible update. I'm starting to get a little bit frustrated and then an email arrives. Apparently I have made a mistake whilst inoputting my details. Thye need more information from me. They ask me to contact them.

I call the sales number on the website and speak to a healpful chap on the sales team. He see's the 'issue', asks me for further information and then says that he can do the credit check whilst im on the line. Great, I thought, I've never failed a credit check in my life, this will go through no problem.

The next words to utter from his mouth were that I had failed the credit check. Cue meltdown. Being something of a financial wiz and totally OCD about all things relating to my money, I feel something is afoot. I politely tell the gentleman to cancel my order with immediate effect which he promises to do.

Feverishly, I obtain a copy of my credit report from Experian. This comes back 100% perfect, literally not a mark or blemish. Not a single thing that would cause any lender to refuse me something as trivial as a mobile telephone or anything else for that matter.

Within hours I had contacted another online supplier, by a slightly different name and had managed to get EXACTLY the same deal offered by Mobiles.co.uk with EXACTLY the same network and had no issue passing the 'credit check'.

I cannot fathom for the life of me what is going on at Mobiles.co.uk, only that the kind gentleman on the phone did offer to put me through to a salesperson who could try 'another' network for me. I think they may have had a supply issue that stopped them from fulfilling my order and rather than telling me that, thought they'd fob me off with a failed credit search and try to flog me another phone/deal.

If this wasn't annoying enough, although I had expressly advised the man on the phone to cancel the order, I still received emails from them asking me to update my order details over the weekend and couldn't call them until Monday to tell them where to go.

My honest advice, based on my personal experience is that this company should be avoided until they clean up their act.

Feel Decieved

Ordered a cheap phone with free gift (ps3 slim with game bundle). Still waiting 10 days after phone delivery for ps3 and I have to do all the chasing. They blame 3rd party for not having game bundle in stock yet are unable to send out ps3 on its own (even though they can send out phone on its own!?) Sim didn't work when phone arrived so they had to get Talkmobile to do another credit check against me to verify. Because I tried the phone I cant send it back even though a call centre member said 14 days wont apply till arrival of free gift.

Basically, they tell you what you want to hear and not be honest or deliver!!

Bad Customer Service

Ordered a refurbished Samsung Galaxy s5 for my daughter's birthday last week on a £28 a month contract. The phone arrived in a few days and she was over the moon with it. Unfortunately although refurbished means sent back within the first 14 days and the phone is thoroughly checked (supposedly) the volume button was not working. Used chat to talk to an advisor and was told a courier would collect it and as soon as the company got it back they would send another one out. The courier collected on Monday. After a few calls to the company (costing 10p a minute plus network provider charges and at an average wait of 20 minutes) we finally find out today - Friday! that they do not have another phone to send out to us. I am now having to contend with a crying teenager, waiting for another advisor on chat - I am currently 48 in the queue, so will be giving up soon, and have gone on the website only to see the same refurbished phone is still up for contract!!!!!! Do not use.

Great Deals And Hassle Free!

I don't normally write reviews but when I saw the low rating mobiles.co.uk had on this review site I thought it only far to pass on my experience with this Company. I have had 4 cashback deals with mobiles.co.uk 1 for each member of my family and providing you follow the conditions for cashback all my claims have been paid within 4 - 6 weeks of submission. I am now about to renew my contracts and will use them again. They are part of The Carphonewarehouse group and if I have ever had any problems with the phone I have been able to get support from the shop which is handy. i received 1 phone that was faulty but this was quickly replaced by another handset and I have been very happy with them. Their customer support is great too and any problems have always been resolved to my satisfaction.
