Poor Customer Service And Poor Product

Poor customer service and poor product. Battery initially charged and held a charge so naturally disposed of the box. It soon became apparent that the battery was causing CPU utilisation on my laptop to ramp up and screen would go blank. Both these issues resolved when installing old battery. Within 3 days of receiving battery I paid return postage and was further disappointed when refund was 15% less than I paid due to lack of original packaging. I could understand a restocking fee if the return was due to me deciding I didn't want it, but it was clearly faulty. You confirmed it was a suitable replacement. Time to review your processes BattDepot.

Should Have Researched Online...

Ordered an HP copy laptop battery November '18. Arrived, fitted, worked after several attempts. For a while. I only use the laptop once a week or so on battery power, most of the time I run in plugged into the mains without the battery.

After a few months the battery was only charging up to 30%. Contacted the firm asking how to claim under the years warranty. Was told that this was classed as normal wear & tear under the warranty. Which apparently only covers batteries that don't charge from new. The 5 year old OE battery holds more charge than this does.

I really should have checked them out before ordering.

Is Battdepot.com/uk Real?

I ordered a laptop battery from BattDepot.com/uk on 21 October 2016 and I still have not received it (today is 1 Nov). Having (subsequently) read reviews about this company, it looks like I should have steered well clear. The website states you will receive an email when the battery is shipped - I did not receive one, so I emailed them. There is no phone number and every time I accessed their livechat they were off-line - how can they call it 'live'. I did receive a response to my email in which they stated that my battery was shipped on 27 Oct, so I phoned the courier (MyHermes); they told me they had received nothing for delivery. Do BattDepot actually know what 'shipped' means - it appears not. At the end of the day, it is my mistake - I should have done a bit of review searching before parting with my money (taken on the day of the order - the only prompt part of the transaction). You have been warned - avoid this company.
