Purchased a camp bed in December from camping and general. After only a few uses (no more than 8-10 nights ) it split and one of the legs popped a rivet. On taking it back I was offered a replacement or refund immediately without the bed even being examined!! A terrific response and could not have been dealt with better. A sign of a highly reputable company. I shall certainly continue to buy my equipment from this company and have no hesitation in recommending them.

FANTASTIC SERVICE. I ordered a sunncamp windjammer plus on Tuesdays after 12 midday and it arrived the next morning, and thats standard delivery!! The item was well packed aswell, although I haven't put the windjammer up it all looks good, really looking forward to using it.

used twice. It leaks! Along with three other owners of a KaMPA AIR awning. Kampa not falling over themselves to remedy. Very poor

We ordered a new porch awning just before Xmas and didn't get to use it till Easter . Unfortunately it had a fault

Sent them a email about the porch awning but wasn't expecting much joy because of the time we had it befor trying .

Wow, hade email back just asking for a copy of recite and they would arrange for it to be picked up and offers refund or replacement .

We went for a replacement .

I first used Camping and General in 1981 when starting caravanning. Luckily I have always lived in Essex so have no problems visiting their main premises. Their range, prices and service have always been second to none. I have never ordered via the website but use it regularly to check stock (and prices!). Their outdoor clothing shop is very comprehensive. Also their caravan spares dept has a staggering array of items which has got me out of trouble several times over the years. I have always recommended them to anyone who will listen.

Porch was promptly delivered and went up well and quite easily. When erected we were very pleased with the look of it and space that it gave us. However on the fourth day of our first break with it, it was a windy day - not gale force or any where near it, just a normal windy day with gusts. The small strip of nylon which was the anchor for the guy rope burst its stitching and the front of the porch caved in, knocking over things in the interior of the porch. Luckily we were there when this happened and were able to dismantle it before any damage was done to the caravan or the awning. These things happen, but our complaint is with the response given when the company were contacted. Much was made of the word 'gust' giving the impression that the porch was perhaps not suitable for wind. Eventually the person who was dealing with complaint grudgingly offered to repair the loop with no charge, but we would have to pay for sending it and for it being returned to us.Not satisfactory customer care.

I ordered a Porch Awning at 11-55am on a Thursday, was dealt with by a very helpful staff member, and the awning was delivered at 12-10pm on Friday. You can`t get a better service anywhere, total satisfaction!

Have been to the shop on many occasions and the service has always been excellent. this time I ordered the awning on the internet and again the service was excellent. two days to arrive, Thanks

Was looking at purchasing our first family tent and did lots of research between Kampa & Vango.

Camping & General were really helpful and advise was excellent when purchasing the Kampa Bamburg 6. We also purchased the Footprint, carpet and wind break. Excellent Price and very fast delivery. Looking forward to the dryer weather to have lots of good family weekends of camping fun!!
