Appalling Customer Service
Bought a £200 tent online recently during Black Friday event. Tent was paid for and shipped. Delivered by Evri….. to completely the wrong address. No idea where and no sign of it with neighbours or nearby. Evri said contact go outdoors. Go outdoors response was “ we picked it and shipped it. It was delivered by Evri. Claim rejected”
So apparently if you order anything it’s at your own risk…. Which is illegal under the 2015 Consumer Rights Act.
Don’t waste your time buying anything from these utter sham artists.

Missing Pair Of Trainers In The Order
I ordered two pairs of size 4 trainers and one pair of size 8 boots. Only one pair of size 4 and the size 8 arrived. I contacted customer service who informed me that their system said 3 pairs had been dispatched. I was therefore wrong even though I have the packaging that could only fit two pairs in.
I do not appreciate being called a liar and would not trust this company to buy anything else from!

Great Staff, Really Knowledgeable And Helpful
Sheffield Store - Really helpful staff who knew lots about the products we wanted to buy, walking boots and back pack. Karl (in back packs) and lee (in shoes) were friendly and helpful, they knew about the benefits of each product and helped us find the most suitable for our daughter's plans. Thanks both we will definitely be back.

Online Rubbish. In Store Better
Ordered online pair of trousers. Medium size 12 was sent Short size 8! Reason ? They didn’t have Medium 12. A lot of phone calls later I had to go to a store to get a replacement . Assistant in the store extremely helpful.
This time I ordered 2 items, bought in the sale that got lost in transit. They then wouldn’t let me get the items at the sale price, it was full price or refund. Oh they did offer me a £5 goodwill voucher, which I refused as I won’t be shopping with them again.

Rubbish Aftersales
I purchased a pair of Royal Scot wellies which split and let in water. I contacted Go Outdoors and they told me to take them to a branch to be inspected.
I took them to the Stocksbridge branch and the assistant agreed that one of the wellies was indeed faulty, she then told me to take the Wellington away and dry out the neoprene lining as it was a health and safety issue. Then when I had done that I was to take it to the Sheffield branch some 12 miles away.
When I told her that I was not prepared to do this she told me that there was nothing else she could do for me then.
I have been trying to get a reply from aftersales now for above a month with no satisfaction.
This company is a joke.

Avoid This Uncaring Retailer At All Costs.
I had heard good things about Go Outdoors and while trying to find a particular stove for my daughters birthday, discovered that Go Outdoors stocked them. I wanted to actually pick one up and physically look at it before committing to buy, so I checked whether my nearest store had any in stock, by partially doing a click and collect. They were showing as in stock at Taunton, so I decided to do the 31/2 hour round trip to get it.
I get to the Taunton store to find out that they didn't actually have any on the shelves and speaking to a member of staff didn't help either. I was told by the assistant that they never get told anything and that they had no idea when it would be back in stock. Very frustrated, we were forced to give up and go home. So, I decided that evening (a Sunday) to complete a click and collect request, just to see what would happen. At 8:20 Monday morning I was told via email that my order was ready to collect...... I find it difficult to believe that between my click and collect request and it being ready to collect that there had conveniently been a delivery to the Taunton store.
I decided my best course of action would be to order it online. BIG BIG mistake. That was on 22nd May, its now 31st and nothing. But not only is there nothing, if I try tracking my order via the number given, there is also nothing. I am just told "We're expecting it" and "We're expecting your parcel to arrive with us soon and we'll update your tracking once we've received it".
After a week of this, I filled in a support email via the Go Outdoors website. This proved to be another complete and utter waste of time, as the email response appeared to have been done by a robot who unhelpfully told me to track my order online. The request for someone to call me with some answers went unanswered.
This evening I decided the only way to get to the bottom of this was to call Go Outdoors and find out what was going on. Unsurprisingly, I didn't get any sensible answers. The customer service agent basically said that the courier had not received the package. So I asked whose fault that was - Go Outdoors or their chosen carrier Hermes, she simply kept on repeating herself and without refusing to tell me, just didn't tell me, but repeated the same thing over and over - much in the same way as a robot would do.
In the meantime of course - Go Outdoors have £149 of my money in their account, along with the money of 100's of others who have been failed and treated like we're stupid, which is earning Go Outdoors interest.
Go Outdoors - you are NOT going to benefit from your failings. I will continue to leave you negative feedback until you adequately compensate me for your shocking customer service, or any kind of service.
I also predict that unless you start to show your customers a little more respect, your business will spectacularly fail.
Q&A
They did not honour their price guarantee and a further 10%. Has anyone else had this problem?
I am also surprised, as I told them about the retailer and price of some Berghaus boots and I got the difference plus 10% no problem. I would ask why they are refusing to honour the price promise?
