Dont Use Poor Customer Service Poor Quality Of Merchandise.
Poor customer service and poor quality of merchandise.
Ordered Scooter deck
Received late and damaged, obviously used by someone else in the past due to tell-tale marks.
Made contact and initially pleasant and positive,
They accepted that the product was not right and agreed to refund.
Since then I have experienced delay tactics in my view in sending the agreed refund.
“3-7 working days” “Admin Issue” “large amount of xmas returns to deal with” “ funds will be in your account by weekend at the latest”
Going by historic posts on this site and others, I am not the only one experiencing difficulties with this company, and wish my wife had checked before ordering from this company.
My personal recommendations based on my experience to date is Not to use them.

They have absolutely no customer service, they do not bother to reply to your emails, moreover and if you need to return a consignment you will not get any refund !!!!
Be aware that many of their products can be purchase from Tesco however, after you pay TESCO will have nothing to do with it.

Great products, very poor delivery. Gift for my son was thrown over the fence, box broke and gift floating in pond. My son found his gift drifting. KS response? Very sorry, wasn't us, gift undamaged so we'll send you a KateSkate t shirt. WTF??

Worst Company Ever!
I ordered a pair of shoes in a size 10. I received a size 11. Phoned Kateskates to tell them of their mistake and to request I return them. I was told that I would have to pay to return the incorrectly sent shoes at my own expense.
My pleas fell on deaf ears and was told in no uncertain terms that it was my fault. Unbelievable to be honest!
I recommend anyone thinking of purchasing anything from this company to rethink and go elsewhere. The bad reviews on here speak for themselves really......
Second Hand Kate
The skates, when they arrived appeared second hand and I thought as my daughter had ordered them that she had accidentally ordered very expensive second hand skates. I e-mailed. Nothing back, I phoned and talked to an adviser in cutomer services who was charming and encouraged me to send the photos I had taken of the skates.He said that no, they didnt deal in second hand skates and that they also were not seconds which was my other guess. i sent the photos. That was the end of the charming. then I had three identical e-mails all legislation and insisting that the finish of the skates would not impeed their use. The skates were supposed to be for my daughter's birthday. Her birthday has been and gone and the situation is not resolved. I have been offered the option of returning the skates at my expense through their recommended courier and then getting a refund but not for the postage. Amazon are investigating the complaint that I have made against them. i await the outcome.

Absolutely appalling customer service received form Kate’s Skates. I am very disappointed, on receipt of my parcel I opened the package to find that the skateboard had been damaged. Believing that it was a honest mistake due to high levels of orders over the Christmas period and that the product in question may not have been checked properly. I then rang the given number to sort the issue so my son would have a Christmas present ready on the much anticipated day. The lady on the phone did not seem to feel that it was a problem that the skateboard was not only scratched but that there was a considerable sized chip to the belly of the board, she then proceeded to tell me that my son was likely to damage the board within the first 5 minutes of having it (this maybe so but it should be his to damage) and that she did not understand why it was problem that the goods had reached me in what I feel was a unacceptable condition. She then proceeded to tell me that all kids damage the board instantly and that she had actually witness a child break their board on leaving the shop (this make me question the quality of the products that they a selling to the customer). I would recommend that anyone considering making a purchase from Kate’s Skates DON’T if you wish to receive even a basic level of customer service. Please do not take my word for it feel free to do some research and have a look at some of the reviews on other websites as this appears to be a regular occurrence. This is something I wish I had done prior to making my purchase. Needless to say I will not be ordering any product from this company again. The most annoying part of this whole fiasco is that it could of all been resolved swiftly, if the employees at Kate’s Skates actually had some level of customers skills.

Appalling Customer Service
Contacted Kates Skates this morning as Roller Boots I bought as a Christmas present which have been worn/used only a handful of times have fallen apart. Apparantley items such as roller boots, scooters etc only have a 3 month warranty so these will not be replaced. It does not state anywhere on the website that the warranty period is only 3 months and according to the Customer Service Advisor at Kates Skates they have no obligation to do this. Be warned their customer service is to fob off and avoid having to replace/repair. I definatle would not recommend and would strongly advise to look at purchasing from here as last resort
Do Not Buy From Kateskates!!!
I bought My son some Inline skates from this company for christmas after 1 week of use the plastic buckle broke therefore they are now useless and need fixing or replacing my husband and I have sent E mail after Email to them asking for help I.E either replacement or if they can fix them but to no avail I am now going to try and contact them by phone and if no joy am seriously considering reporting them to the Ombudsman disgusting service and my 10 year old son is gutted!

Worst Customer Service Ever - Do Not Use
I have many dealings with many companies through online purchases and this is without doubt the worst company I have ever used. They had a problem with my card, despite accepting my order and stating delivery in 2 days. After 7 days of no word I call them to find out what is going on and they are not dispatching my items as they had an issue with my card - didn't cross their mind to tell me despite asking for my phone number. The guy on the phone was rude, obnoxious and had no idea of dealing with customers - I should have known when he answered the phone with a "Morning, Kates Skates" at 15:27!
Thanks to their awful customer service I now have until Monday (now is Friday afternoon) to source these skates for my daughters birthday. DO NOT USE this company.
Broken Skate Replaced
I was worried about ordering from this company as I had read several bad reviews. I bought skates for my granddaughter in July and on arrival, one skate had a broken buckle. I was ready for a fight to get the broken skate replaced or repaired however I emailed customer services with a photo of the broken buckle and had a phone call and email almost immediately from a charming gentleman who apologised and arranged for a replacement skate to be sent to me direct from the manufacturer. This arrived within a few days and they didn't even want me to return the broken skate. So far no other problems, skates are good and granddaughter is happy.
