Appalling Service And Misleading Website - Dont Risk It.
I ordered a component that was advertised as 'in stock' on the website, only to be contacted the day after and told that the part wasn't in stock, but they could supply another type in its place - no good to me. At this point they had already taken payment and I then had to go through the hassle of waiting for and checking that a refund had been issued. Somehow I didn't trust them to get that right either. An extremely amateur outfit that doesn't seem to mind wasting peoples valuable time. I've since noticed that some of the images on the website aren't actually of the products being advertised, so be careful.

Poor Customer Service
Since buying my mountain bike in September it has been returned twice for repairs caused by defective parts/set up. On both occasions LL have been unhelpful and reluctant to fix the bike asking for me to pay for the repairs both times.
The information given has been incorrect and misleading and since buying the bike they have told me that some of the parts are poor quality and will need to be replaced regularly. What sort of sales pitch is this? I have informed Specialized UK of the information given.

Treated Poorly, Did Not Feel Valued, Unpleasant Experience.
I bought a Brompton on the Halfords Cycle to work scheme last year and finally took delivery of it in February. Halfords stated that I could only collect it from Leisure Lakes at Breaston which was fair enough. When I went to collect it, there were lots of people looking at bikes and chatting. Having travelled some distance, I introduced myself to the staff and asked if I could use the loo.
I was told that customers had to walk to the local garage and ask to use the one there. I had just given them £1000 and they were unfriendly and unaccommodating. I got the feeling that because it was 'only' a Brompton, I wasn't being taken seriously by the staff. They took my Loc and gave me the bike with a grudging "You can have a free service if you bring it back in six weeks". It just felt like I was an inconvenience rather than being valued by them throughout the whole encounter. Did I go back? No. Would I recommend them? If they got some toilets or offered to make you a drink or actually listened to customers buying commuter bikes and not talking about just high end mountain bikes, they could do a lot better.

Great Price, Great Product, Quick Delivery
Previously had a frustrating experience with Lakes in relation to a delayed order(albeit with a satisfactory outcome)that was down to poor communication and thought I might be wary of using them again. BUT I did use them again, boy, they really showed that they can deliver (literally). Found a pair of road shoes, £30 cheaper than anywhere else on-line, and none of this behind the attention grabbing "SALE" sign 'size 2 or 14 available only' nonsense - they had popular sizes including mine, which is usually the first to sell out. Had a helpful professional review of the product, and the supplementary information on the site was what you'd expect. Ordered the shoes at 10am yesterday and they were with me by 9.30am today. Excellent, and free delivery too. If I was nit-picking the order confirmation did say that they'd let me know when the order had been dispatched; and that notification is yet to arrive. Looks like there are still glitches in their comms. But overall they do what they promise - deliver quality products at great prices. Will definitely use again.

Really Helpfull And Professional Team (@nottingham)
I applied for the cycle2work scheme. For that I had to check all the possibilities and decide what's the exact amount what I'd like to spend on my bike. When I had receive the balance and went to my local store (that's a different company) I was advised that the chosen bike is not available for months. They couldn't really help out with other options so I had to look for another Bike shop. Finally I ended up with the Leisure Lakes at Nottingham. (I had checked out everything on phone before I went to the shop - except the bike accessories.)
I had 5 options and with their help we found the best bike for me. I tried out many bikes/sizes. They also measured me to double check the sizing using the correct recommendation table provided by the bike vendor. (Finally we slightly modified the size and after a couple of rides I'm still perfectly happy with that.)
The accessories stock of the shop was a little bit "robbed". I was looking for a lock but they didn't have that particular type. As they confirmed that that lock is a good choice (they didn't want me to change to another type) they have managed to post to me that in one day on a really good price. Actually everything went just so easily, so I was worrying about I won't get the lock, something has missed out.
I had a really-really good service from professional and helpful people and now I"m a happy bike owner.

The Go To Bike Shop
I have recently been to leisure lake bike store in mere brow and I have to say it was a real eye opener on how you should be treated found the member of staff who helped me to be very knowledgeable and help full would probably not go anywhere else seemed to always point me to things I might need not what was most expensive and also on purchasing soon new tyres went an fitted them for me and if you like bikes be careful the display of bikes was like being the best sweet shop in world

After realising that I was not there to purchase any goods the sales assistant became extremely rude and obnoxious. I complained about his attitude to the shop manager who just laughed in my face. The shop was the Cheltenham branch of which I thought was reputable. Went to halfords in the end. So based on my experience if you want good service avoid this branch.

After having placed my order, I received a personal email to say that the gloves I ordered were on order with the suppliers and should be with me in 7-10 working days so I really can't fault their customer service; I actually received then about 3 days later.

Leisure Lakes Have An Easy To Use Website, And If
Leisure Lakes have an easy to use website, and if you ever have any problems they have a mail order hotline which you can call for advice / check stock.
Just bought a new fizik saddle and, as always, the guys on the phones were very helpful and gave me all the advice I needed. Received my order very quickly after placing it online, and at a good price. Thanks very much Leisure Lakes!
