Staff were ok, toilets clean, gift shop interesting, cafe organisation poor and food was so bad I couldn’t even begin to complain. £32 later (bowl of soup & roll, burger and roast beef roll with crisps - no chips….what cafe doesn’t offer chips?) my husband and I left and went for lunch elsewhere. I have not written a negative review before, but I felt that folk needed to be alerted to the fact that this place really needs to pull its socks up.

Decided to have a bacon butty on our journey home . Firstly I have to say the food and staff were lovely but the way service was set out in the cafe was ridiculous. The coffee machine was self service which caused a really long queue at times and staff were standing surplass to requirements. The one member of staff was helping people with the machine, making up butties and taking money. Hopeless and inefficient set up. Also the lock on the disabled toilets is not big enough or easy enough to open and I should know cos I got myself locked init and had to call for help to get out. All needs reviewing I think.

After queuing for over an hour for a cup of coffee (there is no queue available other than the hot food queue), I was informed by a staff member that ‘we serve coach loads, ok?’ When I commented that a second drinks queue would be beneficial, the supervisor I was talking to (& incidentally, whose voice could be heard the moment you opened the door beside their large carpark) was addressing her staff as though they were dogs...the woman seemed to be under the impression that I am 1 of her staff members as she was very curt & rude when I expressed my shock at paying nearly £20 for 2 small bottles of water, 2 coffees and 4 cakes they called traybakes. The cakes made my teeth cry and my dentist smile, I understand that a cake should be sweet but there should also be flavour, not just an over load of sugar. Checking the labels revealed high fructose corn syrup. If only I’d thought to check the labels before I ate.All the food was microwaved and bench of people beside our 1 were overheard talking about the food being cold! That’s some queue! We took a wander round their shopping complex, they had the usual array of Scottish-ness at astronomical prices but I understand that the owners are well aware that they have their customers by the short & curlies on that long stretch of road. Luckily, there is another eatery which we stopped off at on our return journey as I’m pretty sure we would have needed to take equity from our home to be able to afford a snack.

Have visited the store in person several times, but found the website after searching for a particular product elsewhere - and here it was on sale! Delivery was prompt and cost-effective - would definitely recommend!

Great fast service, my joules trilby hat is lovely. very cheap postage & delivered very quick. I would recommend this site & will defiantly be using it again.

Stopped on the way north just for the loo and a dog lead as we had forgotten ours, but couldn't have a right good browse so we stopped again on the way home.

What an amazing stock of everything a walker or camper or tourist would be looking for.

I shopped online too when I got home and my goods arrived promptly, wrapped in tissue paper and with a wee chocolate.
