Part For My Training Bike
Emailed the company several times this week asking about a replacing a cable for my training bike. So far they have ignored me. Looking at the other reviews I'm not hopeful.

What A Joke Of A Company
York Fitness are an absolute joke of a Company and I would not recommend anyone ever purchase their equipment.
In the space of 18 Months I have had 3 Faulty Cross Trainers, one Fault causing me a serious injury.
York Fitness response "Not a lot we can do, you will have to try and obtain a refund through the retailer you bought it from"
The level of customer service received has been disgusting, they had the audacity to state that their equipment is made to the highest quality, yet I have had 3 Faulty pieces of equipment.
If I could I wouldn't even give 1 star as they are beyond terrible, they are an utter disgrace.

Keep Sending More Of The Wrong Parts. That's Not The Answer!
Customer service - what a shocking inability to actually use a brain cell and be proactive. If the first set of parts sent isn't the correct one - why will sending a second incorrect set help? None of which answers the question, why a machine was shipped without including the nuts and bolts to assemble it in the first place.
Shocking incompetence. Shocking attitude. Still no reassurance that they will over-ride their "system" that tells them that they are posting the correct parts for my machine.
Wish I'd read the reviews here before purchasing a pile of scrap metal.

I bought a York exercise bike through Amazon, spent an hour putting it together to discover there was a missing plug to activate the computer. Phoned York, spent £6 on phonecalls to customer service who seemed to find my situation amusing but said he would post the missing part. Phoned again after 5 days and was again assured it was in the post and that another would be despatched. Still nothing arrived so after a week spent another 30 mins packing it up and returned it to Amazon who gave me a refund. Needless to say the parts never arrived so all that is left is my phone bill!! What a waste of money!!

Dreadful Products
I bought a c202 exercise bicycle from York. Lots of reviews said it was excellent. What they did not know was that York supplier for parts for this exercise bicycle are no longer available. They have not sourced a replacement, they don't care about their customers. I cannot repair a bike that I paid a lot of money for simply because I cannot replace the servo motor. I bought this machine less than 18 months ago. They are a disgrace.

Poor Back Up
I brought a multigym from a yorkfitness agent and it arrived with one of the four boxes of weight plates being incorrect. Other than this it is complete and okay. I did not find out the plates were incorrect until I had built half the gym as per the instructions. I contacted the agent and was told I would need to return the whole gym under a warranty claim as Yorkfitness do not have any spare plates. I phoned Yorkfitness direct to check this is the correct information and was told the same thing. I am now awaiting an answer as to how my half built gym is going to be collected by Yorkfitness. Looking at other reviews it appears I may be in for a long wait to get my money back. It all seems pretty poor when a replacement box from from another gym the same model would resolve the issue in a cost effective and timely fashion.
After writing a letter and e-mailing it to Yorkfitness on Thursday, the missing weights were found and I received them today.............fantastic service in the end its just a shame it was not the first answer I got. Well done yorkfitness anyway.

Stay Away!
I bought a York Cross trainer 210 from York Fitness and used it for 3 weeks until it eventually broke down! In less than 1 month!
I called them and they told me to change it with a new one.
I said ok. They called me after 2 weeks to tell me they don't have stock and will upgrade me to 220 for free + deliver it to me ASAP. I again said ok. It's been 3 weeks since and they call me almost every week to CANCEL the delivery day due to the reason they don't have it AGAIN in stock! So, After almost 1 and a half months I said to them NO and requested a refund!
STAY AWAY FROM YORK FITNESS!!! WORST COMPANY EVER!!! THEY JUST LIE!!!
I HOPE NONE ELSE GOES THROUGH THIS TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE LIKE ME!!!

I purchased a C202 exercise cycle from Amazon, carefully put it together but when I plugged it in there was no life. Checked connectors and then thought about what to do. To return item to Amazon meant dismantling it and trying to pack it away back into the cardboard box. But if I registered it with York Fitness then it should be covered by their guarantee (2 years). Phoned York Fitness fully expecting to be told to return the cycle to Amazon but was pleasantly surprised when they talked about an engineer being sent to look at the cycle. Probably because I live in the wilds of the Somerset Levels, they decided the best course of action was to send me a new computer and power supply. I was told that, if that didn’t work, an engineer would be sent. Parts turned up 2 days later. Using new power supply solved the problem – cycle works brilliantly – and I’ve got a spare computer! Excellent support from York Fitness.
Cross Trainer Spares
I phoned York Fitness (uk) today for a plastic insert brush for my 2 year old cross trainer because one had worn & fallen apart. I was told that they had none but they were on order. I asked when they were expecting to receive them, & I was told 'some time in December' It is at present early September. Thats a 3 month wait. NOT ACCEPTABLE
I was told to try Ebay if I wanted the spare any faster. But there were none on there either.
The general rule is not to use your York equipment too often because if something breaks, they will not be interested. York Fitness spares department is useless.

Poorest Customer Service Ever!!
The bike broke about 6 months in. After going through a whole raft of pushing back and forth between them and Maniac Fitness Berwick, still couldn't get the issue resolved. After 2 months, technician validated as a manufacturer's defect. Second time round, technician came without the right parts.
If the bike works (looking at other reviews it seems a big punt), good luck to you, cos if it ain't, then you'll go through a world of pain.
This is one of those times when you get much much worse than what you pay for.
If only I read the warranty agreement and these reviews before! Hope this review would help someone else.
