Aprillia Atlantic 125

Brought one of these just under 3 years ago looked ok at first then noticed things needed replacing. Replaced front fork stantions headset bearings and gave a full service. the bike is not built for our weather as had to replace the complete clock mech due to corrosion fasteners rust and can be pain to remove and if you ride in all weather like I do be prepared for corroded electrical connections that need cleaning. The bike eats front brake pads on third pair. Parts can be a pain to get some parts ive had to get from Italy and with about a month turn around is not good. also seat I prone to splitting.on the plus side when running a great comfortable bike to ride with a great feel even though its a heavy bike you don't notice it when riding would only recommend for a summer bike

I Have Been Riding An Aprilia Atlantic For The Pas

I have been riding an Aprilia Atlantic for the past year and have been very confident that the bike will start 1st time even in the winter.

It is the most comfortable moped that I have ever ridden.

Hi! I'm from Estonia, so you have to excuse my English. I'm very pleased of my Aprilia Atlantic 125 Scooter. It can do Estonian freeways, even when riding with passenger. The scooter can to 120km/h, but not more. I think that the engine is one of the best of 125ccm, it can accelerate quite well, although its weight 170 kg. For now, I have ridden over 10000km and no problems so far.

Bought This Aprilia Atlantic 125 Scooter In Late 2

Bought this Aprilia Atlantic 125 scooter in late 2004 on finance. Turned out to be a bad idea when I crashed it and had to finish paying it off. For a scooter I loved it. Started every single morning before work but took a few minutes to warm up so it doesn't cut out when you open it up.

Cornering was great once you get used to the weight, I managed to get mine as far as it would go on both sides.

All the controls are easy to use and find and I never had any problems with them.

The only major problems I had with mine where that the speedo drive jammed and shredded itself, only cost around £30 and took the wheel off myself to repair. In the winter water managed to get into one of my spark plug leads and caused it to cut out/miss fire every 5 mins so took it in and got fixed on warranty.

The main bulb blew hitting a pot hole and the place where I got it from couldn't get hold of it for three months then I tried a different place and got it in three days.

Lost control on some gravel going around a blind bend which set me back about £300 in front fairings (not cheap).

Then to finish off I pulled my front break too hard with fresh pads on and locked my wheel up in the rain which threw me straight on the road and bike into back of a car. This caused too much damage to the framework and the whole front of the bike needed repairing.

Breaks where superb, pulling the back break engaged 2 pistons on the front one and helped to prevent skidding and stopping speed was more than good.

Made a nice noise, kinda beefy and a whistle on deceleration.

I used to ride everyday to work and must nights when I was bored, out on my fave country roads. I would still have the bike today and for a long time as I really enjoyed riding it.

I'm saving up at the moment for a motorbike and hope this is of use to someone. Verdict - if your thinking about getting a nice big cruiser scooter, this one's great, keeps you very dry, etc!

I can't seem to start my 125 Aprilia. It's making a noise like the battery is flat but new battery on and still makes the same noise. It stud for two weeks in my garage, damp proof so not wet, just can't seem to turn it over. Does anyone have any ideas please?
