False Advertising, Poor Customer Service

I had to park a van in Brighton and new parking would be difficult so I went on justpark and found a space advertised as suitable for a large vehicle, the supplied photos supported this. However when I arrived there was a van already parked in half the space (presumably the driveways owner) leaving only enough room for a medium car. Having no other option I parked the van with a large portion of the back over the pavement. Upon return home I complained and was promised a refund, one month later and several emails from me I am finally being told no refund as I managed to park there (I had to I had no option) After an hour on the phone to customer services and explaining the parking spot was not as advertised and what I paid for they just said as I had parked there i had to pay. I asked them if they were still advertising the slot as suitable for a large vehicle and he confirmed they are. I pointed out this was false advertising and against the law but he didn't seem to care.

Parking Full Despite Prepaid And Attendant Lost Key!!!

Pre booked and pre paid for Holiday Inn South Kensington parking for 4 days.

On arrival was told, very bluntly, by the attendant that the car park was full, we'd have to find elsewhere and the hotel would refund the money already paid.

After arguing for up to 10 minutes that this was pre paid and I WOULD take this parking, he relented and said he would find space.

I checked with hotel reception who said it was very common that JustPark customers arrive to find no space despite pre booking.

On return to collect the car, the attendant has LOST THE KEY!

He searched and could not find my ticket number, he called his colleague who "couldn't remember" this car despite it being parked in clear sight of the office and despite our altercation on arrival.

We had to go to the hotel to speak to a duty manager who could not be found for 10 minutes.

Eventually a further search in the garage found the key behind a desk. This was after 30 minutes of worry.

This service is sloppy, unprofessional, deceitful (no guarantee of a space despite taking your money) and the hotel staff have zero respect for your vehicle.

The stress and strain this episode caused is beyond belief and beyond description.

Avoid, avoid, avoid at all costs.

Lack Of Clarity For Parking App Options

The iphone app and the browser are easy enough to use.

HOWEVER, there are lots of hidden agendas.

In the browser you only get to select the depart time and the cost is calculated at the point you enter the parking code.

You park at 8AM but parking charges start @ 8:30am

When you enter the parking code and the time of departure 9:30 the duration and cost calculated should be for 1 hour.

However, the charge will be for 1.5 hours as the time is calculated from the point you enter the parking code not the time that parking enforcement starts.

In addition there are all these optional extras like charges from SMS reminders.

These should be opt out by default and opt in by choice.

Of course its the other way around so if you don't notice then you end up paying another fee for those services which you never asked for anyway.

I also got different costs calculated in the app vs browser as the app allows you to specify a duration i.e. pay for 1 hour.

Would you still be covered though if you parked at 8AM and returned @ 9:30!!!!

Should be but I bet you aren't :-(

Justpark Database And System Is Not Secure

I am a space owner and would not trust JustPark with my data. One morning , woke up to find a car parked in the driveway (deactivated parking space ) without my permission. No communication from JustPark to let me know about a booking even though they had all my contact details. My space was disabled and after a lot of investigation found that the status of my space had mysteriously changed to 'Instant Booking'. They cannot produce any proof that I authorized them to change the status of my space.

To add insult to injury Customer Services were exceptionally unhelpful, and incapable of following logic.

It appears that they are not willing to listen to improve their website.

I have booked a car space for my holiday with Justpark near Luton airport, on arriving to the car space I found it was occupied by another car. I had about 30 left to my flight boarding time. The owner of the space didn’t even know he was with Justpark. Unreliable services!!!!
