There is a major issue with quality of this product, they seem to have very poor quality control issues with their Chinese production.

I ordered shutters for 4 windows from California Shutters earlier this year at a cost of around £2,300 so not cheap eh!

Once I had placed the order I was contacted by California Shutters who tried to insist that I needed what they called "T bars" however on further exploration with their own consultant they admitted that my windows were not large enough to require "T-bars" - this delayed my order by approximately 2 weeks.

When the shutters FINALLY arrived, there was damage on 3 of the 4 frames, as well as to a shutter panel on one window. So 3 of the 4 windows had some degree of damage. The tradesman who installed my shutters repaired the damage to the frames (without consulting me, I would have returned them immediately - given the money I had paid for them) using wood filler. So when we informed California shutters they arranged for the replacement of the damaged shutter panel. This was delivered approx. 4 weeks later and guuess what - it was the wrong sized panel. I am now still waiting for the correct size replacement panel to arrive.

I requested some financial compensation from California Shutters and they have offered me 10% off when I voiced my dissatisfaction with their product and service. Now I don't know about you, but I ordered these shutters in February and it's now late July and I still don't have the shutters I ordered and paid for in good faith. I have also had 2 wasted panels to dispose of, when if you live in London you know that getting to your local dump on a weekend involves an hour queue each time.

All in all, I would strongly recommend you purchace your shutters from a different supplier.

my shutters arrived ina perfect condition. would say delivery could be a bit quicker but theyre made in asia i believe so cant complain. love them they look absolutely incredible in my kitchen!!

when the staff rang me i was worried i had something wrong but they were just calling to make sure i hadnt messed up so that was fine and actually made me worry less about the whole thing in general.

very very happy and plan to order for my french doors.

We ordered shutter blinds from California Shutters for the front of our home after asking the neighbours where they had them from. We live in Sussex near where they are based however i believe their factory is overseas so took a few weeks to arrive however couldnt be happier. They look amazing and installed them in a few hours to our victorian bay windows. would recommend completely.

The biggest mistake I've ever made buying from these people. Firstly they didn't do our order, then once ordered they turned up damaged. Another 6 weeks to replace them. We ordered another for the study to match and after 8 weeks haven't turned up yet despite they said 5 weeks. When they eventually did come the delivery man dropped them and tried to say he didn't despite being told my husband saw him. Again another 7 weeks to replace them despite staff being rude. Again they haven't come on time and supposed to be delivered today, by another delivery company and no show. Auwful device the staff very rude. A mess from beginning to end. I will find another company for my other shutters.

I read the other reviews and took a gamble on them listening to their customers and sorting out their delivery service. I was very wrong. I went for the express service and had to contact them after the 3 weeks to ask what was going on. They told me the shutters were being delivered that day. No promised txt the day before hand to confirm. Didn't matter as they never showed. The did turn up with out notice the following working day and left a missed delivery note which said they will try the next day. I stayed at home the next day but they never showed. I complained and was told they would turn up the following day. Again I stayed at home and again they failed to show.

I had several problems on my order through not quite folloing the instructions on the californian shutters website. A lady from the customer service team rang me and carefully went through my entire order of 8 windows to ensure all my mistakes were resolved - could not thank enough for this, an excellent touch not seen in many companies these days. My shutter blinds arrived in 7 weeks in perfect condition, they are identical to ones my friend got for literally 3 times the price.

The first set of shutters I ordered did not arrive complete on the agreed delivery date. Apparently the van driver could not fit all the boxes in the van but did not think to tell us this until he arrived. I therefore had to take another day off work at short notice to facilitate this. I also received an email apology from California Shutters which was reassuring.

On the basis that California Shutters appeared to be taking action to improve their service I ordered another similar set of shutters for another room a few months later. The exact same thing happened despite having been given assurances by California Shutters that it wouldn't happen again. So yet again I had to take another day off work at short notice.

On opening the boxes I discovered one of the frames had been damaged in transit so California Shutters ordered a replacement which arrived in the country a number of weeks latter. We agreed a delivery date but this time no one turned up on the agreed delivery date! Apparently the van driver could not fit the one box in the van this time around so choose not to bother telling me this. Californian Shutters did appear to do what she could to resolve this but it did mean yet another day confined to the house. When it did arrive the box had yellow tape around it and it was missing the fixings. Again she did what she could to resolve this by sending me out the parts which I received the following week.

I wrote to them on 29 January but to date have received no response.

My advice is to avoid using California Shutters unless you have loads of spare time to wait around in your house for deliveries. The quality of the shutters is reasonable but not worth all the hassle delivery wise.

We ordered temporary blinds for our new house and paid the high delivery charge (in relative terms to the price of the order). They were not delivered within the time frame nor the following days.

The delivery tracking was claiming that they were delivered to our house, however with some random name and they were nowhere to be found. No neighbours had received them either.

Days passed and after persistent contact, California Shutters called the delivery company who said maybe they'd been delivered to a neighbouring road. California Shutters asked us to go and knock on doors in neighbouring streets with our numbered house to find them!

Clearly we refused. They refunded postage. I was about to cancel the order and get a refund when a random delivery man turned up and just handed them to me at the front door and hurried away! I said 'what happened, you told the retailer you delivered these ages ago, and signed for them on the system' and they pretended they hadn't heard me! There was no apology from California Shutters of the delivery service that is bear in mind used at their request and on their behalf.

So poor. Being in a brand new house we had a massive order of shutters to make but due to this California Shutters missed out on our custom!

Bought the shutters in 2012. They were beautiful when they arrived and now, 3 years later, they are just as lovely. The measurements were absolutely spot on which was something that I was a bit concerned about. I deliberately left the review for a few years to see how well they would wear as they are in my bathroom. They have worn very well and I am as happy with them today as I was when they first arrived in October 2012. There was nothing that I could find to criticise or dislike about them. The colour is still as rich today as it was when they first arrived and there was a spare little container of stain in case it got scratched during the fitting process. It is very rare these days that you buy something that you do not have to modify one way or another and this was certainly one of those rare items.

Placed two separate orders for shutters, both were late having been promised them on a particular day.

The 'girls on the phone' were very patronising making excuses of it being their supply chain failure, and not that of California Shutters (over and over again).

They stated that the driver had been to the house, and no one was in, despite my partner waiting in for a total of 5 days!

Really disappointed and let down, considering the actual product is quite good but the logistics really let them down.
