Shocking Service Do Not Use!
They took weeks to let me know that they wouldn't accept my no claims history and therefore wanted to charge me an extra £70! Even though I had the emails to prove how long they'd taken to let me know they still insisted on changing me a cancellation fee saying I should've read the terms and conditions... yeah cos who does that!! The staff were uninterested and unhelpful, may as well been robots! Don't touch GoGirl with a barge pole!
Hi there, sorry to see this review. If you would like to drop us an email to [email protected] with the policy number or vehicle registration then we will be happy to look into this.

Gogirl. Terrible Experience For My Daughter
GOGIRL was terrible, my daughter had the worst experience when a man decided to cross a road without looking, thankfully it was a service road and she was coming to a stop out side her boyfriends shop, he hit the side of her car, NOT the front. the police and an ambulance was called and nothing was done. concerning the insurance, they gave her a solicitor as the bloke decided to take it to court, the solicitor played mind games with her, telling her she would never win even though he walked into the side of her car. This caused great distress for my daughter, the insurance never helped her in any way, even though they asked if she would fight for her insurance in court, well duh yes she would. to cut a very long distressing story short, at the last few seconds the blokes solicitor told him he would NOT win in court and the ase was dropped, he was made to pay the full costs to the court and the two solicitors. She has now lost her no claims for this even though it was not her fault, Do Not go to this company, they are going to take your money when it comes to no claims and even a slight adjustment on a policy. Also watch out for the hidden costs they dont tel you about or they cancel your policy! AVOID, AVOID, PLEASE AVOID.

This Is The Worst Company I Have Ever Deal With.
Totally useless. They don't answer the telephones, they send emails asking to be contacted and they never answer the telephone. Avoid at any cost.

Absolutely Useless!
I got my first quote with Go Girl because it was the cheapest and I was 18 so I didn't want to pay too much! It was £1,400 for comprehensive cover. Within 1 month of driving, I had a minor accident where someone went into the back of me. I reported it (not as a claim) to the insurers.
Unfortunately the driver who went into me, is saying I had put my car into reverse and reversed into her car, so with no witnesses they have to take her story into consideration too. It happened in December 2014, which was 9 months ago and nothing has been solved yet.
The communication is awful, we have been emailing back and forth with no outcome. I called and asked to make a complaint and I all I got was "what for?"
They are very rude and I will definitely be contacting sabre ltd to sort it out or the ombudsman. Its ridiculous over such a minor accident!
I also had to change my address 6 miles to another town, which cost me £500 on top of my premium. After 6 months I moved back to the original town and all I got back was £54.. I'm sure this is the same with other insurance company's, but I thought I would just mention it to warn others!
I am experiencing the same problem with them a minor accident non fault with witnesses and not getting any where. They never ring back when they say they will. i feel like i'm just going to have to pay for the repairs myself. Not sure what i paid my insurance money for if they are not going to work on our behalf!! i can truly empathise with you.

No Cooling Off Period For Cancellation
I would not recommend this company to anyone. Why is there NO cooling off period for cancelling your policy, even though it had not started yet? If you buy anything in the shop and change your mind, you get a full refund. Cancellation fee should not be £45. It's time that the customer service at the call centre should also be taught how to speak nice to their customers, they are very RUDE. They don't even know anything and will tell you to go and read. NO STARS FOR THIS COMPANY FROM ME.

Stay Away. Pick Anyone But Them!
STAY AWAY. There's a reason we feel wary of going with insurers that aren't big names. They will withhold or take your money for the most spurious reasons.
Here's my experience:
I had a policy out with you with my previous car that I acquired through my mum's company car allowance via her job.
It was a 6 month lease and to insure it cost me over £800, which I paid for upfront when I took out the policy.
I phoned last week when I received my new car (the 6 months was up), and was initially told it would cost an extra £500+ to change the car on the policy. This, as over half of what I had already paid for 12 months, was unacceptable to me and I was told that after a discussion with the underwriters someone would get back to me before 10:30 am the next day.
I received no phone call and so had to chase things up myself, it was then that I was told that in fact the car was uninsurable. The reason for which was given as the lease on the car only being for 6 months. As you can imagine I found this pretty ridiculous because the last car on my policy was also a 6 month lease. When I said this I was told that that shouldn't have been allowed to happen. So, someone somewhere made a mistake when I initially took out the policy and several have been made since.
I was told as the car was uninsurable I would need to cancel my policy- an inconvenience, but okay. I asked when I could expect to receive the half of the £800+ that I paid when I took out the insurance (as it was a 12 month policy and I had only had my car for 6 months) where I was informed I could only expect to receive £200 back. This I found a disgrace but I was on a train at the time so said not to take any action for now as I would need to speak to someone else the next day.
When I phoned back, I spoke to first a member of inbound staff who repeated the same thing to me, and then a manager who was similarly unhelpful. I think it is outrageous that they feel it is acceptable to take £200+ of my money for no justifiable reason whatsoever. I understand I cancelled my policy early but that had never been my intention, it was THEM who told me they would not insure my new car- for the reason that it was a 6 month lease. Which had been the case with my previous car... laughable!
I feel this is discriminatory against people paying annually in full, and encourages people to pay unnecessary interest for fear of ludicrous withholding of money already paid upfront in the event that they need to cancel.
I am a student and do not have money to spare- as I am sure no one does. If you want what you pay for and don't want to give your money away- pick a different insurer!
