Fitted To My 2014 Zzr Performance Edition Sport
I am now on my 3rd set of the Michellin Pilot Power 2CT, I am really amazed that people don't like these tyres. I took the brand new pair Bridgeston S20R off my new ZZR 1400 (2014) as when they were fitted to my previous ZZR the traction control would continue to light up, even when warm and in the wet the Bridgestone were rubbish. I have never had a moment with the Michellin's in any kind of weather and they stick like glue.
I have been riding for 20 years and have owned numerous sports bikes with numerous tyres but have found the Michellin to be excellent. I also do a lot of track days so I would like to think that I know what a good and bad tyre is.
The psi on the ZZR is 42 psi front and rear, which at first a thought was a bit high but due to the power and weight of the bike this is what Michellin has recommended. This has made no difference to the levels of grip, you can easily get to the edges of the tyres and the front feels planted with loads of feedback on heavy braking even when the ABS kicks in the tyres stay planted.
You will not be dissapointed selecting these tyres just safe in the knowledge, you get what you pay for and it's the only thing between you and the tarmac, 3" of rubber. I have found they warm and would buy these again until Michellin bring out pilot power 4.
Well, spent hours reviewing tyres and this review from a fellow zzr rider did it for me, just ordered a pair, cheers buddy.

No Grip
I have them on an 02 CBR 954RR and have ridden a lot of sport bikes. These tires have no traction when stopping or off the line, but they do hold fairly well when turning at high speeds. I won't buy another set of them. They are most unsettling when hauling ass then trying to stop. I am a somewhat expert rider and have ridden since I was very young but these tires are not safe when you are slowing down abruptly. I know a few good riders who have wrecked and blamed these tires.
First comment I have seen on these tyres regarding "no grip" which is nonsense! I bought my R1 with these fitted and instantly was impressed with the quick heat up & grip with great lean angles.
I am not a Michelin guy as I have had Dunlop's in the past but the 2CT's are great tyres and they are noticeably better tyres than most at high speed cornering. On my second set but I am tempted to go for Racetec's next but will use 2CT's again.

Very Nice Street Tire!!!!
Hello guys & gals, I'm 6:2 265lbs, and I put these on my 2000 ZX9R....WOW!!!
These tires have been so good to me. Wet or dry, these babies have never let go. I'm not an expert rider but I do at times take turns that i know aggressively(NO CHICKEN STRIPS). I keep my psi 33/31 front/rear cold. These tires
give you the confidence needed to enjoy your bike, and so far I have nothing bad so say about them. this season I plan to upgrade my suspension for my weight (Race Tech front and rear) and I'm curious to see how the tires will feel then....Stay tuned!!!!

Terrible Warm Up
Having "progressed" to the Pilot Power 2CT's after previously having the older Pilot Powers fitted to my Fireblade, I expected great things - how wrong was I.
They are terrible at warming up, even when lowering the pressures by a couple of psi, and have a tendency to "let go" at relatively low angles of lean. I once lost the front in a corner and was unable to recover it, resulting in a lot of expensive damage.
I even got a friend of mine who races in the British Superbike Championship to try the tyres, and he came to the same conclusion I did - won't warm up.
So it's either Pirelli Supercorsa's or Metzeler Racetecs for me.
Ha Ha, So you know somebody who races BSC and he said that the tyres are rubbish and will not warm up. And you admit that you lost the front in a corner, says it all mate its not the tyres its your inability to ride the bike correctly. I can guarantee that you would fail before the tyre, I use these tyres on track and they are as good as any other Road / Track day Tyre on the market....

Just Put These Beast's On My 05 R1,
Just put these beast's on my 05 R1, was out yesterday on them for the first time had a great time seeing what they could do, needless to say they can do more than i am capable of. Knee down no problems gave great feedback and loads of confidence. I got caught in the rain and they still gave plenty of confidence. The lean angle is amazing and they really do "everything they say on the tin".
Strongly recomend these tyres to anyone i dont think i will be moving on to a different trye for a long time, dont over pay for the rubber look around for a good price i paid 200 for the pair.

Hey Everyone, I Just Wanted To Say, Am Looking At
Hey everyone, i just wanted to say, am looking at getting a set of these tyres for my GSXR 600 K1. I just need to know if anyone know's what these babies are like in the wet, I live in the Isle of man which i guess you all know of, via the TT racers. well we don't have any motorways, its just all country lane's with the mountain road.. and the weather isn't that good all the time, but when its good, its fooking amazing, :)
thing is thou, with the weather and the roads over here, you get alot of mixed road conditions... ie, patch work quilt road work damp patches alot of the time and then you get the good stuff. nice clean fresh tarmac...
does anyone here think these tryes will be great in the both wet and dry conditions in the same day, interchanging from time to time..

Firstly,to the reviewer[?] of April 14th 2010 [*]...Er,white lines tend not to be too grippy.Sure they didn't fit Pneumants when your back was turned?lol
I TRULY do NOT recognise the tyres of which you speak.
My bike is a turbo Hayabusa that was previously fitted with Michelin's only rec. tyres-HPXs.Now THERE'S a rubbish tyre!Like riding on marbles.Naff all grip.Fitted 2CTs 3 days ago. A TOTAL REVELATION!!!Turn in SO quick, track and hold a line beautifully. And GRIP???? Oh yes!!! They have transformed the bike.
As you can imagine, straights were always a buzz[!],but now I actually SEEK OUT bends...AND they don't break away when powering out-at angles I could only dream of on HPXs.
THESE ARE GREAT TYRES...
