Value For Money

Once They Take Your Money, They No Longer Care To Fix Faults

All of the new houses in our estate have cracked/chunks of rendering fallimg off the walls. They've patched them up once but within months they are in a worse condition.

Their customer never gives a definite answer. Many home owners in our estate have filled complaint with NHBC in hopes that this gets sorted in a satisfactory manner.

Cannot Recommend A Moorish New Build At Poundbury

Caveat Emptor (Let the buyer beware) really applies with a purchase from Morrish Builders of Poole for their properties at Poundbury, Dorset.

The sales advisors gave incorrect information about facilities and in my opinion the Customer Service advisors attitude once the house has been purchased has been dreadful.

I have really struggled with Morrish, in my opinion they have been slow fixing problems, including a roof and a gas leak. Often implying that I was wrong and that a problem was completely normal and didn't need fixing.

I don't recommend their snagging and after sales care for their new homes, and as such would not recommend a Morrish new build to anyone.

If you must buy one then I recommend you get a full structural survey BEFORE you part with any money, and even then they have dismissed a lot of what my surveyor said!

Be prepared to fight for snagging work to be done, or else they will put you off or simply ignore you, or even lie about whether it has been done of not. For instance they said there was no broken slate on my roof, when there clearly was, only by persisting with my complaint did they finally come and repair it.

6 Months after moving into the house there are still day 1 issues which have not been fixed.

It's a great shame that their customer service has not improved ( we bought a house 18 years ago and now have discovered that the roof felt only a cheap inferior product, but was also totally incorrectly fitted to the manufacturers specifications and yet Morrishes customer service department are not interested. If you have a choice then avoid this builder.
