We contacted Harvest because we wanted both Solar Panels and an Air Source heat pump at our cottage in Goonhavern. We were initially sceptical of air source because we have radiators and solid granite walls. Harvest assured us that the heat pump specified would cope with the coldest times of the year in our old cottage. After our first Winter we are very happy with our heating system, the running costs have dropped dramatically and the house is very comfortable. Our solar further saves our electricity costs. Harvest took care of the government grant paperwork and we would highly recommend this local company.

Having ordered from this company, who were very friendly on the phone, they installed the system very quickly.

However,

No-one does a follow up check to see if the system is working correctly, and god help you if you ask them.

This system was installed last year.

I had a problem with the first Samil inverter they installed, which left me asking for some assistance. I was given the manufacturer's telephone number to sort it out myself! When a representative finally turned up, he discovered an issue with the array on the roof and that the wi-fi wasn't working. New Inverter inbound.

I contacted Harvester again with the array issue and was told it was clouds and the different placement of the panels... They are on the same roof facing the same way.

Not happy with this answer I persevered with emails asking for help.

The new inverter arrived, so Harvester sent the electrician around at night to install it. He plugged it in, but did turn it on, or check it worked due to it being pitch black. It also turned out to be the wrong inverter, with no Wi-fi. The Array issue was also still there. I had to ring Harvester to find out the settings to turn it on myself.

So I then tried to get another inverter, which eventually arrived over 2 months ago after 4 months of asking for some sort of service. It's still sat in the box downstairs waiting to be installed.

Eventually one of the managers from Harvester rang me, promising me a service to install the new inverter and to check the array... That was 4 weeks ago.

During the summer months, where the panels are meant to be giving the best returns, I don't have the correct inverter installed and the array appears to have a malfunctioning panel. This is now been ten months.

Numerous emails to Harvester either go ignored or just reply fobbing me off.

There are better companies out there, as I have friends who have used them. One thing for starters, is that the system is installed and someone checks it out a couple of days later.

Having recently had 4kw PV solar system fitted by Harvest Renewables Cornwall I would be happy to recommend the company, from the first contact I felt I was dealing with genuine people one has to be so careful these days. The installation was value for money and carried out within the agreed time scale in a professional and clean manner.

I am now enjoying paying less to my electricity supplier.

Harvest Renewables carried out a solar panel installation for us last year - I can't believe we didn't get it done sooner. It's made such a difference to our bills. The team that came were great and I had nothing but good service. We even recommended them to our friends.
