Back in 2019 I spoke with an agent, with a phone call and 2 emails we had a fabulous holiday booked and paid for in full. As June 2020 got closer we had to rebook (COVID rules) once again the agent helped us out by pushing the holiday back 5 months. However, travle rules were still in effect when November came around. She pushed our plans back again we agreed to contact her in May 2021.

When the time came we contacted her again, she no longer worked here but another agent said she would be more than happy to help.

WHAT A NIGHTMARE!

16 emails and 2 weeks of begging, haggling and suggesting to her what we could do and how to arrange flights to America. I had to get Flyamerica customer service involved(Not professional at all nothing was solved) I was made to feel that making plans for my (already paid for) holiday was a bother and they nolonger wished to assist me.

In the end I had to make an internal phone call to Delta (in the USA) in 9 minutes they had my flights and seats sorted.

Lesson learned the hard way, this is not a professional customer friendly company!

Staff were most helpful in getting me the best price for 7 passengers from London to New York. unfortunately I made an error in the name of one passenger and although Norwegian Airlines could not help me flyamerica solved the problem.

I will certainly be using them in future and will recommend them to friends.

Flyamerica shows a direct flight from Glasgow to Newark New York with really good prices but when you try to book you are told that there are no direct flights available.

I wouldn't recommend this travel agency even if you were desperate! I had a conversation with a man, provided him with desired dates and he advised a price for a particular set of flights. I liked the sound of flights and was happy to proceed so agreed to be put through to reservations in order for them to take my deposit. At no point in my conversation with the person I dealt with or reservations was I told that the dates or price may be sugject to change.

Less than 2 hours after my phone call with him I received an email stating the agreed price and deposit taken, but upon review of the itinerary the return dates had be changed to earlier dates. I respond to the email explaining the error, and he very quickly called me back however at this point the helpful man I originally spoke to had gone and I was now dealing with a man that was insistent that he hadn't done anything wrong by changing my dates, as it's all that was available and if I wish to fly on my desired dates flights were no longer £789 as agreed they were now £898, and I have to book or lose my deposit. He was adament there was nothing he could do, not apologetic in the slightest and advised his Manager had gone home so I was unable to speak to him with my complaint. I had to resort to calling my bank to report the  transcation in order to have my £200 deposit returned to me. I am extremely disappointed by how my money was falsely taken and it's fair to say flyamerica.co.uk are no different to a number of other travel agents advertsied on the internet with negative reviews about taking customer deposits based on a cheap quote and then later on claiming the cheap fare is no longer available. It seems to me the travel industry needs to take this matter more seriously as it's far too common and customers are being swindled out of their hard earned cash all too often.

This travel agents web site it totally misleading You enter dates you want to travel and then the prices shown turn out to not be available and the true cost is double. The closest they could match the price on the web site was to go for 2 months - ridiculous.

Their excuse is that it is subject to availability and being flexible when you travel - so defeats the object of putting in dates which the consultant couldnt understand.

The agent was fantastic. He was very helpful, patient, supportive and maintained professional even when I kept changing my mind and gave him a hard time. I can say I had a wonderful experience which cannot be compared with any other travel agents I have ever dealt with in the past. Great service. Thanks a million.

Excellent customer service. Helpfully arranged my last minute flight to America in an emergency. Ensuring I received all my travel information quickly and my lay over for my connection flights were not to long. Eddy also telephoned me back to check everything was good, all sorted and arrived in America within 24hrs Excellent flight and service with United too! Thank you Eddy.
