My existing 15 year old Kinetico showed sigs of failing and contacted Water Care for advise upon which an engineers visit was scheduled.

Upon the engineers visit it was made clear that i was happy to replace my unit with a new one if a service was not going to resolve the problem.

I was told by the engineer that a service would resolve any issues and it was not necessary to replace the unit.

Paid £ 140.

The problem persisted despite 2 follow up visits after which i was told to have the unit replaced.

Water care quoted me £1400 to supply and fit a new unit but refused to refund the £140 which i felt was unjustified.

Managed to get the same unit for £1000.

From the first phone call to the final installation it has been a pleasure to deal with this company. Visits were fulfilled promptly and the installation itself was trouble free. I would definitely recommend this company.

I ordered a replacement cartridge for a pure water K5 system. They promised next day delivery. Re next day I stayed in all day and waited. No delivery. I ring at 4pm and get told to wait until 5pm. Then I ring at 5pm and they agree to chase the delivery. I then get a call saying it's on it's way today. I wait until 9pm no delivery. The next day I ring in the morning. He answers and disinterestedly tells me that I will get a call back. Suzanne then rings back and tells me that they had attempted to deliver at midday yesterday. I explain that it was her colleague who said that at 5pm yesterday delivery was imminent. I complain and cancel my order requesting the manager to ring me. I'm still waiting!! No apology or anything. Order direct from Kinetico - much better service there.

We moved into our new build property in 2012; two years hence, the scourge of lime scale deposits were visible on all bathroom fittings - the impact on non-visible areas such heating pipes and boilers can imagined to be worse.

After some quick research, we narrowed down to a few water softening systems including the Kinetico 2020c (dealer - Kinetico 2020c and Watercare Softeners Ltd.). The salesperson from Watercare Softeners Ltd. gave an demo of the product along with running costs. We also review some other products in the market but the clincher for the Kinetico 2020c was the extended warranty on the product (10 years parts warranty) - other competitors have a 1 year warranty.

The results of installing the Kinetico 2020c have been quick; there is no lime scale deposits on the bathroom fittings. The only thing to watch out will be the running costs i.e. the salt block and any increase in the water bill (a certain amount of water is used for the regeneration process).

Having been pleased with Kinetico in our last house, decided to have a Kinetico in our new one. Kinetico seems to us to be the best, most efficient system, being entirely water powered and never needing maintenance. Watercare Softeners are a local firm and the manager was helpful and informative whist Mark, who fitted the system, was courteous, quick and careful. All was neatly fitted and worked well. Nothing was too much trouble to ensure that we are perfectly satisfied. Have already recommended the product and firm to neighbours.
