Makes Such A Difference
I am delighted with my new awning which has made such a diffence to being able to sit outside in my garden. I opted for the electrically operated awning which works well. I needed to protect my furniture from the intensity of the sun and to give me the only piece of shade in my garden. The process has been quick and easy - I was quoted 5-6 weeks for delivery but due to a cancellation my awning was installed within the month. The installation team were very efficient and quick and polite - makes such a difference! After installation every thing was left clean and tidy for me to enjoy relaxing in a deck chair in the shade for the first time! Because the sun when it is low in the sky diminishes the shade a little I chose to have the extra wind-down front blind which see-through and enables one still to be able to enjoy the garden but protected from the sun. This feature is an extra that for my purposes was well worth having.

Patio Awning
We had a 3metre fully enclosed electrically operated patio awning fitted complete with wind sensor. The blind is great value and the men who fitted it were very professional and left no mess behind them. highly recommended.

Ongoing Dispute
I have an ongoing dispute with this company and they have now threatened not to consider my complaint any further unless I take down negative reviews. My reviews are no longer so I assume they have taken it down. Now taking legal advice.

Chauvanistic Company; Bad Customer Service
I had contacted this company amongst others to quote for an awning. Very pushy staff member on telephone insisted my husband be at the appointment despite my telling her repeatedly that I would be making the decision on this matter myself and my husband was not required. She would not make the appointment to see me on my own. I felt extremely insulted by this telephone conversation and was appalled at this attitude. Surely it is the customer who is able to decide who is to be at an appointment; my husband had already agreed that I could go ahead with this and this was our right to decide who is and is not there at an appointment.
I later sent an email to Nationwide's customer services regarding this but they have not even bothered to reply. Since making enquiries with Nationwide, I have had an appointment with another big well known awning company; they were quite happy to call roundto discuss it with me without the husband being present, measure and quote and I have since paid the deposit and look forward to my awning. I really think Nationwide Awnings need to change their chauvanistic attitude towards women and they also need to take a good look at their non existent customer service.

High Qulity Awnings
After contacting Nationwide i found the service excellant from the top down. The firm is polite without the "pushey" salesman. They listen to your requirements and where possible they are only to pleased to help.
The quality of the finished item is well presented and manufactured to a very high standard.
I have no hesitation in recommending this firm if you require a high quality product that is reasonable in the price.
