Disappointed
First visit to measure went well, once they had my cash service was terrible. Sent me date for fitting which infact the fitters didn't fit in my area on that day. After sitting waiting most of the day I phoned to be told no one would be out that day. Spoke to customer service advisor who said I would receive a call next morning as I was not available after 11am....no phone call and fitter turned up at 11.20 anyway!
I should have received a call from the sales to rearrange prior to the fitting but he then blatantly lied on a text to say he had only received the message late that day which I already knew wasn't true!
Won't use this company for my other blinds as I felt once the order was placed and paid they didn't really care, also will never recommend shades to anyone.

Customer Service atrocious. Quality of blinds terrible. Blind did not fit window . Big gaps at side . 8 inches away from the glass. Wanted to pay a call-out charge and cutting costs for their bad workmanship!

Second Lot Of Ill Made Blinds - Looking For A Refund
Bought blinds in Sep and fitted start of Oct. Fitter never gave a chance to check them over before asking for the remaining balance. On checking they were very badly made so we complained and they were refitted. The refitted ones are worse than the originals with ill fitting pelmets, dents to the blinds, rough cuts to where the pulls go through the blinds and rough cuts at the edges of the blinds as per the attached photos. Also on the original fit the fitter never fitted a safety catch on blinds that were beside our bath, definitely a safety issue with young children around.
I have contacted them to request these be removed and a full refund as they are not what we agreed tand are not as described, fit for purpose or of satisfactory quality.
The only positive I have is that the second fitter was very nice about it all!

We are now having them taken away and refunded however the 'customer service' woman who called told us they "were inspected at the factory" and "the factory manager said they were an acceptable commercial standard" (she was also quite forceful given she should have been apologising and trying to fix it - there was no apology) so our opinion is that Shades are willingly happy to sell sub-standard products because it's what they can get away with rather than selling a quality prooduct.
I only wish I could upload photos to show how bad the blinds are. I cannot stress enough how I would recommend that you save your time and either buy ones and fit yourself or find a company that will supply well made products

I had salesman out to measure windows and get a quote. He was very friendly and really nice. Decided to go ahead with the purchase of venetion blinds.
Was given a date and time frame (9-3) to have fitted and arranged time off work.
On day he arrived. Fitter was pleasant!
Was a bay window and 1 of the blinds was too big so I was left with 2 blinds up and informed the other one would need to go back to factory to be trimmed as measurements weren't accurate! Not the biggest issue as I know these things can happen! It was the follow up that really disappointed me.
Contacted customer service following morning as had no follow up call to when other blind was being fitted.
Customer service was not helpful at all. Couldn't come back out that day as they didnt do my area until a certain day even though it was no fault of ours and the factory is 5 min from me.
Result is am left on a main bus route with a bus stop out side my house with no privacy for a further 2 days
Cant get a refund as blinds are made.to measure(which is a joke cos they dont fit)
Def wouldn't recommend them or use them.again.

Paid for my blinds got an appointment to have them fitted and they told me to strip windows so I done it and took time of work only to be told they wont be coming today.wont be back for another 2 days.called to complain and the lady I spoke to was cheeky and disrespectful horrible company

Metal blinds rust when fitted in bathrooms so this means guarantee isn’t valid . Fail to tell you of that when fitting them and taking your money. Poor customer service and disappointing how loyal customers are treated
Think they stop you from making any comments on Facebook too. Just shows they know how bad their service is if they have to do that
Bought blinds from this company and it was a nightmare .wrong blinds ,bad workmanship ,terrible fitters ,don't turn up for appointments.
Wrong blinds ,blinds ,but no tools to fit them with with ,told them Wasn't paying for them ,they took the money from my account without my permission ,but was told they destroy your card details ,they do not .
they took my money and left me with no blinds ,awful workmanship,pelmets not attached ,belted me in the face and fell down when I touched them ,none of the blinds or pelmets attached or sit well.
Zero customer service ,don't answer phones ,wait in ,no fitters ,do not even think of buying from them
Went to check on my complaint on the review and surprise surprise it has magically disappeared .
Took them to trading standards as they were so bad ,esp as they stole money from my account

Don't expect blinds to be fitted on scheduled time. Constant cancellations due to fitters being off sick and manufacturing delays have contributed to me waiting a month after submitting payment without the job being finished. Look elsewhere.

I worked for this company for a year never seen so many fitters leave overall the man management is shocking and after sales is even worse the fabrics are seconds I can't believe the reviews are still shocking after all these years when I see a shades van makes me shudder

Shambles Do Not Use This Company
2 Roller blinds ordered, measurements taken perfectly square! Rollers fitted, both sloping to one side, one side touching the windowsill, the other still in the air. One blind has a dirty line right across it, half the eyelets are damaged and while one side of the blind is 1.5cm away from the wall at the top it's 3cm by the time it gets to the bottom. They keep pushing the point my window runs off however failed to mention that at the time of order and took square measurements?? Unhelpful isn't the word, wanted to give me 10% off insult!! I agreed to 20% as long as they resolved the issues, 3 Rep visits and 3 fitter visits only to find out they can't resolve it, they offered to pack the blinds giving me the impression that would sort it, but when the fitter came out he said it would mean I would be left with a bigger gap at one side at the top instead of the bottom so swapping the sloping for the top instead of the bottom....and apparently I agreed to that...such a lie. They won't remove blinds and refund my deposit and still want the balance paid..is this company for real... pay a little extra a go elsewhere!

This has to be the worst customer service I have ever received from a company , I have been 3 weeks for someone to come out and fix my blinds giving 3 appointments with no one turning up no call nothing , constantly chasing them , called this morning was told would get a call back I then call back at 3.50 to be told would get. Call back said I would wait on the phone waiting 10 mins then was told place was closing now so
Would need to be tomorrow now for someone to speak to , dong know how still in business

My parents recently ordered 4 blinds from this company but when the fitter came to fit them 3 were not to the width they wanted as the salesman had not measured to the full length of the window frame. The fitter fitted the one correct blind and measured the other 3 windows to the correct width and took the blinds away. The salesman then returned tried to blame my dad as he was stood with him when he measured but my dad says he was just talking to him and never took much notice of what he was doing. He then said the blinds were a standard width and this was the maximum width available. They are supposed to be made to measure after all. They then contacted customer services who told them they would make new blinds to the correct width but only if they paid the full balance up front. This contradicts the standard width story. My parents refused this and have cancelled within the 14 day cancellation period which is stated on the back of the order form. I have spoken to the company who say they will not refund the £70 deposit paid as they signed the form which had the measurements written on it. My dad says even if he had looked at it he would not have known if they were right or wrong as he had not measured the windows himself. That was the salesmans job. Can anyone advise as we are still in the 14 day period and the company have told us to go to trading standards?
