i have used Indigo for a number of years. I have always found their staff to be super heloful and professional. Every booking has always gone to plan.
Just had a small problem with my last booking, nothing to do with indigo was the actual car hire company.
But a big shout out to the agent who after one message,managed to rectify the fault immediately.
Not many companies these days offer great customer satisfaction, but this company does, and its nice to see a company who actually care about their customers.

Indigo consistently surpasses expectations. I've used them at least 5 times now and every time I've had super quick and friendly responses, they find exactly what I am looking for within minutes and always for a reasonable price. AND, they hire you a car using a debit card which is a huge bonus - it's almost impossible elsewhere. I'd give them six stars if I could!

They Will Block Your Calls If You Have A Problem
I hired a car with Indigo Car Hire on a family holiday to Ireland. The customer service while booking was fantastic. However once I arrived to Ireland it all went a bit wrong.
We arrived to Dublin airport and waited for the shuttle bus to the car hire office, I called indigo car hire they said the bus could take up to 40 minutes to arrive on a sunday. We waited for more than an hour but the bus never showed, we decided it would be quicker to walk.
Once I signed the papers, and booked out the car I drove 3 hours accross the country to meet my family. The car I had booked was a 5 seater, however once I arrived we realised it only had 4, this was a problem as it wouldnt fit my whole family and we had to make other arrangements.
I called and left messages various times, and sent an email to Indigo Car Hire, they never picked up the phone or responded to me.
In this review I gave it 2 stars not only 1 as the car itself worked fine. However I will never use this company again and wouldn't recomend that anyone else does. I hate to imagine having any mechanical issues with the car and trying to get in touch with them as there customer service tequnique seems to be to block the caller.

I was left in the Alps, on my own with a vehicle without winter tires because the booking agent 'did not understand what they were'. The danger they put me in scares me even now. Don't use them go straight to the provider.

I found Indigo Car Hire because I was looking for car hire company that helps people that don’t have a credit card. They contacted me with a quote very quickly. I sent a few more emails with silly questions and they were answered straight away and nothing was any hassle. The service from the beginning to end was excellent. I will always go through Indigo now for all my car hire needs and I thoroughly recommend them 110%

I just booked with indigo car hire because last time I didn't need a credit card just a bank card. I just saw that I need to bring a credit card with me. Have the rules changed?
To ensure you rent a car without a credit card you have to book over the phone or by email with a customer advisor. If you book directly on the website you will have to provide a credit card. Contact Indigo car hire if you booked on the website and I'm sure they will be able to cancel you booking and make a new one on a debit card!
I am getting quotes through Indigo for a hire car in Italy. I am from Australia and dealing with the UK office so communication has only been via email. Now I wish to book and the Indigo Agent is asking me for my credit card details via email. Is this suspicious or is every customer trying to pay with debit card expected to exchange details via email? I thought there would be a secure online payment system like Paypal or something?

I can say with confidence that there's nothing suspicious here. I have been using Indigo for many years - got a car in Australia through them last year and my Aussie mates were amazed at the deal I got. I can understand your reticence about putting card details in an e-mail, not because Indigo are dodgy but I don't like putting my card details in one mail either. I normally send the details through in several mails so that all my card details are not one one document, just in case anyone intercepts it. Again, Indigo in my experience are nothing but great!
