Outstanding Service And Value.

At the gate we were treated with respect and courtesy. We were shown around and under no pressure to buy. Fell in love with a used Vigo at an amazing price and outstanding free offers. We chose £1000 off the price for our 20 year old part exchange. Highly delighted with every step of the way. They arranged a tracker to be fitted before we collected and put aside wheel and hitch lock for us. We got 10% off anything in their accessory shop. We had a two hour appointment on collection so every aspect of our van could be demonstrated. They even registered it to CRIS for us. We called the shop a few times to ask various questions and was always made to feel valued. Just before we hitched up, the customer service person realised our tow ball was not not compatible and rolled his sleeves up and changed it himself for us. Don’t get much better than that. All done under tight Covid restrictions. Highly recommend.

Disgusting After Sales Service

Absolutely disgusted with treatment from this company. We purchased as brand new van from them & when we went to collect the fridge wouldn’t switch over to gas so they had to fix that, the door wouldn’t close properly & so had to wait for that to be fixed. When we got it home the gas pipe was faulty & so was leaking gas all over place, We had to drive back to get new one. One our first trip out in it found screws sticking out of the window frames & to top it off once we returned home the door wouldn’t open at all & all of our belongings were stuck inside. We contacted Raymond James who were not interested saying they don’t offer a call out service !!! We will have to wait to see when they can help us. Do not use this company at all as once they have your money they don’t care about any after sales service.

Poor Customer Service

We bought our second hand Baillie caravan from this company and I cannot fault the sales department. Unfortunately their true colours came to light when we had a problem with collection and were unable to collect on the original date. The team would not budge an inch to assist us. Admittedly it was our fault due to circumstances beyond our control we couldn’t collect as originally arranged but they were rude unhelpful and downright obstructive. I swore then that I would never use this company again for as much as a light bulb, however, we are tied in with a three year warranty for the van.

Then we sustained some damage (cosmetic) to the van and contacted our insurance company who gave us Raymond James as their recommended service provider. My husband sent the photos to RJ but was told they couldn’t do the work and referred us back to the insurance company who again said there was no reason for them not to be able to do it. My husband contacted RJ again and was told that the service manager couldn’t match the van colour correctly and that was why he couldn’t take the job on!!,

They are a recommended Baillie service company and they can’t match the colour?????

They just can’t be bothered. They were great until they got the cash and now they are not interested.

It’s quite interesting when discussing this with other caravanners how many we have spoken to who either have had this similar scenario/problems with RJ or know someone who has.

I am so angry that I am considering waiving the warranty and taking it elsewhere for servicing.

When we bought the van the sales team told us “when we get a customer we want to keep them” well take it from me they’ve lost this one.

And to anyone using this company if you are told the same.

Fantastic Service A Pleasure To Do Business With.

I have never written a review before but after reading the negative reviews on this site I thought it was only fair that I pass on my experience with Raymond James caravans.I ordered our new Elddis Osprey 860 over the phone in November 2018 knowing there was a delivery date for March 2019. The sales person sorted out a good part exchange and agreed to have the motor movers changed over as part of the deal. Throughout the waiting period I was fully informed and kept up to date on the delivery. Prior to collecting the caravan I travelled down (140 miles)to take my van in for the motor movers to be changed over and the have the vans appraisal. On arrival I was greeted by the staff and made to feel very welcome whilst they checked the van over. The following week we went down to collect the van and were met by two gentlemen, one to do the hand over and the other to do the necessary paperwork, both were brilliant. Whilst we were there we were served light refreshments which was unexpected. Whoever fitted the motor movers did an excellent and neat job. After collecting our new van we headed off for a prearranged stopover in a caravan site paid for by Raymond James. Overall I cannot fault these guys and will be back again in the future even though its a 280 mile round trip.

So Disappointed.

Purchased a two year caravan. After ordering and before collection the caravan was damaged and repaired. We sought advise on an awning which was totally inappropriate as we could not physically erect it. After a few months a stress fractured appeared. \Advised on how they were going to repair it which did not happen. Three attempts to repair it and still not satisfactory. We were advised that they need to do the services for three years in order to maintain the warranty. We would rather forgo this so as not to use the company again. Upset as the caravan was for our retirement holidays and so disappointed at the poor service.

Appaling Service

After ordering a Caravan from Raymond James, We were to collect the caravan on 20th June at 1200, we didn't get near it as it wasn't ready until 1630.

We then waited a further 5-6 weeks to receive the damp report and service record for the caravan that Raymond James were to carry out pre delivery, these were only received following numerous complaints and calls to Raymond James and their Business Manager.

Not being happy with the paperwork received, I arranged a separate independent Caravan Service Engineer to service the caravan. I was present during this service and witnessed the amount of adjustment required on the brakes of our twin wheel caravan that was required for the brakes to work effectively, and was advised that there was no Carbon Monoxide detector in the caravan, despite being told there was by Raymond James, and having the service record issued by them station that there was and that it was in date.

I returned to Raymond James again on Sunday 30th September to complain, and was told by the Business Manager that he would personally call me back the following Tuesday once he had spoken to the Service Dept. Still No Reply.

Although we had a good experience up to the collection, and love the caravan, I wish we had known how abysmal the after care would have been from what appeared initially to have been a professional caravan Dealer.

The resolution I was asking for was for Raymond James to reimburse me the cost of the caravan service (that they failed to do ), and to install a carbon monoxide detector that is not present, but paperwork issued by them state is present and in date. Less than £200. on a caravan sold for over £12,000 - AGAIN ABYSMAL

Atrocious After Sales Service!

Once the money had been handed over, that was it.

Had problem with our caravan fridge almost immediately after purchase.

Workshop manager offered several solutions which did not work, then said 'I don't know what else it could be.'

Consequently, we took our van to a caravan dealers in Spain, who identified the problem immediately and then rectified it.

Since then I have e mailed the after sales manager about other issues but she has failed to respond (despite her auto reply promising a response within 48 hrs!) in a timely manner. When she did, she basically lied.

Most recently, I have e mailed the Operations manager twice, and left a telephone message..again, no response to date!

Unfortunately, we are tied in to this company on a 3 year warranty, but after that we will be off...never to return!
