Vanquis Bank Credit Card

Allows them to defraud their customers and they won't do anything about it. They couldn't care less about their customers withbtheir overseas call centres, ridiculous waiting times, decision making is ridiculously long and they couldn't care less and shaft their customers. Good luck on ever getting me to pay now. You're lack of customer care over £40 is going to cost you £3300. ENJOY!

One mistake after another. Can’t get through to anyone that can help, promised call backs that never happen. Their error and it’s been going on more than a month. Literally hours and hours on phone and losing sleep. They don’t rectify their mistakes they just make more. Trying to pay it off to close it and they added 1000 to my balance and can’t seem to sort out why. Asked for evidence- they won’t provide. Made a complaint- they don’t answer. Please don’t use them. They’re mistakes ruin peoples lives and they won’t fix them

Recently I have suffered identity theft with this bank. Someone opened credit card just with my name! It’s that easy to open it, yeah… It was more than 8 weeks ago, they said they closed that credit card, but they didn’t and now it ruined my credit score because of missed payments. And no one is willing to help me, customer service is so poor. Avoid this bank at any cost!

well dont go with these guys if you want to keep your money they took more than £200 of my direct debit than they should of leaving me with no money i spent over £1000 a month on my card but now have closed the account and gone else where and customer service dont care

Quite possibly the worst customer service I've come across, sent the same message so many times, even put the key words they were asking for in brackets, the words were literally in the first email I sent, this company is a complete joke, can't even read, ridiculous.

I was struggling with my credit score and got pre-approved for a Vanquis card. Got 0% interest for the first 12 months and my credit score seemed to improve, since then they keep offering me the chance to increase my credit and windows for 0% balance transfers, but I think they do charge a monthly fee of around £9. App works well.

It's totally worth it.

I got my Vanquis car almost 6 years ago, never missed a payment and never exceed my limit. For several times, I would even pay all my balance at once. I am now facing some financial problems and I called the bank to get help to negotiate my balance or at least freeze my interests until I get back to my feet. To my surprise, the bank plainly refused to help me with any plans due to the fact that I have "exceed income", which is the only income I have left for any food/medical expenses or for any emergencies. I am extremely disappointed that, the moment I need the most, I was simply left with no solution whatsoever to help me with my debts and to help me to clear my balance. I do not recommend.

Could never sign into this card, so I just cut up my card & never used. They sent me a letter saying they had closed my account. Now I get a letter saying they’ve charged me £40 on a repayment option plan & sent it to a debt agency but it was a mistake & they’ve refunded me. I had this company for less than a couple of months & they’ve ruined my credit limit & I’ve got a black mark against my name. Terrible company!!

Give this company as wide a berth as possible, their customer service is dire and they are very inflexible in terms of increasing the paltry credit limit that comes with the card. Anyone thinking of applying for a credit card from Vanquis will have to be desperate.
